  1. holy shit that looks good! Gotta get rid of the 18's on my car and get something similar to that.
  2. bah cheapy teenager s13's put aside also putting looks aside = R33's GTS-T's are a better car overall IMHO than R32's. You get a better engine & gearbox for starters. I've also noticed that the interior is slightly better than the 32. (materials used)
  3. yeh one thing good about getting a better exhaust is how the power comes in way earlier and the increase in torque. tis nice
  4. yeh my one is pretty quiet man. Its louder than stock but not by much. You may be right tho. I have to get someone to give it a bit of a thrashing with me watching it from the side to hear what it sounds like. With the windows down u can hear it droning in the background a little.
  5. with a catback it would be close cause exhaust mods affects boost levels. I was beaten by a 32 with a 3" turbo back (nothing else) when all my car had was 13psi boost. The other 32 just pulled away at higher rpm's. (my mates car)
  6. mate, second thing I did after my bleed valve was the exhaust and I tell u what. Its quiet as anything. No in cabin drone at all and its even fairly quite at high rpms. U just have to make sure you get a well designed one. Thats why I got a jap brand Jasma approved one. (5Zigen) The damn thing is so quiet i'm thinking of getting rid of one of the mufflers!
  7. hehe yeh my car was completely stock when I got it. As in factory stock. The exhaust even had the date & month of the car's manufacturer stamped on it. No air pods, boost controllers. Took 11months for the importer to find a good condition factory stock 32. Only thing aftermarket was a Addzest aftermarket headunit. Anyway i did what Sydneykid was talking about - stock car with more boost. Sure it gave it more power but you could definately feel the exhaust choking everything. Car now has 14psi boost, 3" 5Zigen dump-pipe back exhaust & remapped ecu. Funnily enough its a lot easier to drive because the power comes on sooner due to the exhaust. (I have dyno graphs of what each mod did) Anyway yes, I have talked to lots of ppl who also tell me "yeh my car was stock too, all it had was 3" exhaust, pod....".
  8. I just got Autobarn to order a HICAS boss kit for me for $80? (can't remember the exact price) Anyway its a HKB. Going to be disabling HICAS soon anyway so it didn't matter either way as it turns out
  9. rayt- no its quite normal. My clutch slipped after a month when I got my 32 (98K on the clock at the time). a mate of mine with his 180sx with similar k's - same thing after he first got his car imported.
  10. ok i've had a quick chat with him and he said $45 a run. We have to get around 20 cars minimum tho. I'll post a poll (when I get back home) and see how many ppl are interested. If it all works out we'll get a date sorted out. The dyno is located in Sunbury (about 10 mins from Calder) so I was thinking a meetup and cruise up to the location would be best. slayer_1971 - He does mostly Commodore and Falcon chipping. I'll ask him about the SAFC but I doubt it.
  11. u don't like the side skirts? I thought 32's with skirts looked pretty good. Makes them look fatter. btw your car looks awesome. I wanted a silver 32 so bad when I was looking for mine but never found a good example of one.

  13. yeh no worries man, since I took that picture the car has received a re-spray (it had a few shipping scratches here and there) and now has a GTR bonnet. Also it has the stock exhaust which in about 2 hours of writing this will change to a full 3" 5Zigen system
  14. hi guys, Just got back from a place locally who just dyno'd my car and spoke to the dude who actually has 2 Dyno Dynamics dyno's. Anyway if we can get enough ppl then we can most probably get $40 or so for a run (or maybe even 2 if theres time on the day) He mentioned to me that he wanted to do something like this and have a barby and all. Think we can get about 20 cars (read imports) minimum?

  18. almost 1 year ago now I paid 13,500 for my completely stock r32 which was (and is still) in excellent condition.
  19. dudes, its a second hand exhaust and all this considered from what I can see its in pretty good condition. When I was looking for mine I went thru so many damaged exhausts before finding one that was in reasonable condition.

  23. hi again Steve! back in a GTi-R I see Yep count me in. Car really needs a dyno bad as I wanna start bolting on the stuff i've bought for it but want to see what I started at to begin with.
  24. sorry Pekatu your car is a '93 right? In that case it won't have the clear front indicators or blue dials. Only earlier models 89,90 etc had these.
  25. yep the older ones have blue dash guages. Also the older ones don't have clear front indicators. I've changed mine to the older clearer ones as I think they look a little better. Another diff i've noticed is that the older ones are rated as being a little lighter.
