  1. Thats what i was lead to believe. I am after response over overall power. I am not wanting huge power, i mainly just want my car back on the road I think ill go for the -7's it saves me money and i know they will do the job i want.
  2. Yes they are brand new for that price, im not risking second hand turbos. I have looked at the -5's and have considered them but im really not looking for huge power, i dont think i will ever go over 300 at the very most. The main reason for me replacing my current turbos is because my original ones have major oil seal leaks and need replacing, i have been saving the money for new turbos for a while so saving 500 odd is really good for me.
  3. I am about to replace the turbos on my R33 GTR and i have a choice to make. I can get R34 N1's through my mechanic for $1495 a piece or i can get GT2860r-7 for $1250 a piece from another retailer. Which do you think i should go for? I am leaning towards the GT2860's because from what ive read they are the same specs and saving close to $500 is always good. What are your opinions? Cheers

  5. Anyone know what sort of price to pay for the Tomei items? and where from with a reasonably quick delivery time ie not months
  6. Does anyone know the pipe diametre of the Tomei dumps where they connect to the front pipe? And the distance between the bolt holes (centre to centre). I need to know if it will fit up to my aftermarket Do-Luck exhaust i have waiting at home for my turbo swap.
  7. I was told that the exhaust would fit standard dumps but im not 100% certain, if anyone knows those measurements i would like to know Cheers
  8. Does anyone know the diametre of the the pipe on the x-force dumps where the dump connects to the front pipe? And if possible the distance from centre to centre of the bolt holes on the same end? I need to know if the front pipes i have at home will bolt up to these dumps.
  9. What sort of dump pipes are people running with these turbo's? I already have a Do-Luck 3.5 inch exhaust and front pipes ready to go on but no dumps. I am about to make the swap to the N1's shortly. Sorry for the hijack.
  10. I think sense of direction is something you are either born with or have non at all. Buy a GPS for your car and that should help you. If you can remember images of places you are going etc you will find it easier, thats how i know where to go etc i can picture it all im my mind if i have been there before and usually only need to go somewhere once to know how to get there any other time but again thats something that you either can or cant do.
  11. Cheers for the info, i am actually leaning toward the HKS's. Ive done some looking around at threads and they seem to be the go. I think they will be perfect for what i want. You put up a mighty fine arguement for them Beer Baron

  14. I have an R33 GTR. The last service i had i asked my mechanic to investigate why i was blowing oil smoke on high boost. It was found that the oil seals on my turbos were leaking slightly. They said they would need reconditioning or replacing. I didnt have the money at the time so i couldnt do either, so i have been driving with them the way they are for a while now. I now noticed the other day that i am blowing alot more smoke than i have before. I am now blowing smoke idling at traffic lights and driving around normally. I assume that the seals have gotten far worse than they were before. I still dont have the money to replace the turbos and i wont until the begining of next year because im going on holiday to the gold coast in novemeber. My questions are as follows: Is there anyway that i can slow down the leaks in the turbos by using different oils or some other method? How much is it going to cost me to replace the turbos with either GT2860-5r or N1's (ie a workshop to do the work since turbos swap are a bit beyond my skill level)? I dont drive the car during the week but i do drive it a bit on the weekends. Any help and or advice would be greatly appreciated Cheers

I havent got the money to pay for them at the moment otherwise i would, plus i think my turbos are right near the end of there life judging by the oil smoke coming from my exhaust tonight while driving around, so thats another expense I was told last service the seals werent 100% i think they have gotten way worse, any ideas on a rough cost of turbo replacement like gt2860-5r or N1's turbos would be?
  16. Cheers guys sorry if i confused you im NOT doing the dumps just the FRONT pipes. If its just bolts to be reached with a socket extension then it should be easy to do i just didnt want to be removing heaps of other stuff.
  17. I am soon to be installing a new front pipe and catback to my GTR. I have done catbacks before and they are easy to do. I was wondering if it is difficult to install a front pipe on a GTR? Is there alot of things in the way or is it fairly simple and straight forward with minimal hassles? I have heard that dump pipes are pretty much a turbo out job which is out of my capabilities but i just want to be clear that i can do the front pipe myself. I will be using a pit to do the work. Any help is appreciated Cheers
  18. Is the exhaust for a R33 GTR or R32 GTR? Are you selling the entire exhaust ie shown in pics front pipe, cat, and cat back? What prices for all the components and individual components? Sorry for all the questions but the first post isnt very clear to me.
  19. Ive had boiling coolant before in my GTR when i first got it and the cause was a radiator that was block to about 80%, i got a new 2 core radiator and new thermostat and it solved it straight away. My oil temp sits at about 80 and 90 odd when driving for a longer period of time.

  21. I am currently trying to remove the driveshaft in my R33 GTR which goes from the transfer case to the front diff. I have undo the 4 bolts at the front diff end of the driveshaft but i am having trouble removing the shaft itself from the transfer case side because there are hoses and the gearbox mount are in the way. Is it possible to remove the shaft without undoing the gearbox mount and other fluid hoses. If anyone can help me ASAP it would be appreciated.
