really hard to win cases in ur situation, sorry to say but u will probably get fines upto $2000, loose ur licence, car gone for 3 months and pay close to $1000 to get the car out. if u have been caught red handed then u don't have a lot to argue for. make sure u take any lose interior bits out (CD's etc.) fill in the paper in detail of accesories (gauges, timers etc) and if possible take photos. a couple of friends were in the same situation and they didnt even let them put a car cover on. try to ur luck...maybe they will let u. sorry dude.

i understand the idea of fixing defects so u dont get fined for them but my point is who sets these rules ??? ever seen a engineer try to put sumthing togetha on paper but the technician laughs at the idea in practice (no offence to engineers) ever seen tech books where the typist types stuff down he/she doesnt know about and makes mistake (no offence to typist) surely sum1 can agree that some of the rules are really silly and not practical ??? end of the day i do realise rules are rules and u gotta follow them so i dont need ppl telling me that but i am just after sum thoughts of others about this issue

got g-rex oil cooler, came with the car so not sure on price, i pulled it out to try and sell and ended up puttin it back on, the installation was a bit fiddly but not so bad. a hoist wud be very handy if u got contacts. not sure on performance, more of assurance then anthing else. never done track days so for me it's only bragging rights dat i have one but if u race around then cooler oil is better then hotter oil...

for the local ppl of sydney there was the supernats event held at eastern creek yesterday, i didnt go but hav heard it was pretty good. wat worries me is the setup the cop/rta/epa had there. friend of mine got done for speeding, noisy zorst, leaking power steering and horn not working, total $450 fine. and he reckons he was 1 of the lucky ones there compared to the other cars waiting to be inspected. apparently there was about 4 or 5 test stations there which once ur pulled over u hav to go through, and at a event like that, wat kind of cars and fans wud u expect to rock up...mmmm. it was a feeding frenzy for the cops. did anyone get caught up in this mess ?? i kno cops cant do a RBT within a certain distance of pubs, so duz a similar rule apply in this instance ?? probably not. don't wanna go into detail but my car is full of defects !!! so wat is there left for enthusiusts like us ???

im glad this issue was raised as i am thinking about putting a stock r32 box in replacement of my pod to avoid a defect notice. anyone out there with any more experiances with pod vs panel filters plz speak up ! i wud be prepared to change over even if there was only a few kw lost. rather that then $150 goin to the revenue.

dudez when i hear cars being stolen with alarm and immobiliser, it worries me coz i put the alarm in my car myself (i dont trust others) and it's a pain to get to things even wen u have time and space so how do ppl get inside and bypass things in the dark and remove panels and shit without opening doors and making it look obvious ??? until now i was pretty confident that even though my car gets breakin into atleast my ride is still there (unless towed away) caus of immobilisers and how i hav wired it. but starting to get worried now....

cud also buy a complete turbo engine with loom and do the conversion.

i am pretty sure the trust airinx line of filters are the dry type but dont quote me on it.... as for the suspension, why dont u crank up the dial to see if there is any difference in the ride. i'd assume 8 being the hardest or get gaurds lipped.

either way it sounds like the box definitely needs to be pulled out and opened up. i think u will spend more cash on labour then parts. i kno 2nd boxes are about $500 if u do open it up then might be worthwhile to check the sychroz aswell.

i think fuel pump is next on my list, is there a pump which fits straight in or wud any pump i get need modifications to fit in, i was told a r32 gtr pump needs no mods to fit in....

define wat u mean by tune and fuel upgrade ??? i got told i was slightly leaning on high boost and needed to upgrade the stocker pump but i thought that was jus to fix the leaning out not to get more kw. i wud love to break the 200rwkw mark but wasnt sure wat to do next....

dude my r32 has similar problems, tried alot of things but nuthing worked so far, check my thread under 'please help'. ppl have been replying with suggestions...have a look, cud be of some help.

dude my car had one wen i imported it, i have no idea wat it's for besides the obvious. have been trying to find out for a long time but no one cud tell me in detail about it. currently my car has really bad cold starts and ppl have been telling me it mite be the hks item.

got a r32 gtst with a gtr cooler, fits nicely and looks good with a gtr bar. had to bend 2 peices of metal on the fender bar(or wateva its called) easy as with a hammer and had to punch a hole jus under the battery so the cooler pipes can come through

anyone got info the hks idle controller, wats it for beside the obvious, there must be a reason y the previous owner got it.
