  1. looking for tie rod ends, small rubber boot has split and also need the bushes on the swaybar mounts. the mounts/links on the end of the swaybar are also looking pretty dodgy, gotta chang it. the other thing they had was engine damper kits.
  2. looking at sum handling/suspension parts from just jap. any1 here used them or had experience with sum of their parts. they have a brand called jjr, pretty sure its their own brand, jus wanna know how they perform. also they have engine dampers, opinions on this wud be good too. cheers
  3. but i thought u had to pull the drive shaft outof the gearbox and then pull the gearbox out to get to the clutch?? wudnt dat mean the oil in the box wud leak out once u tilt it out ?
  4. yeah thats my problem, although i have seen one case where a gtst had tein gtr set at the back. my hunch was either the whole rear cradle was changed or jus the rear hubs or sumthing along those lines. anyone else seen this?
  5. jus wanting to know if there is any way a gtr rear set will fit a gtst ??? i realise mounting is different but is there any way around this??
  6. wat wud u rather kno ........???? temp of hot water out of engine, to make sure its not rising too much inside there OR temp of cool water goin in the engine to make sure it is getting nice cool water. the factory sensor is on the top hose so u already have the stock temp gauge there. i also got a oil temp gauge so in my case i'd rather know my radiator is working and sending in cool water to the engine. anyone got other theories....
  7. hmmmm, interesting??? jus read that the sonsor shud be on the top hose, mine came with the car wen i got it but its on the bottom hose, is there any logical reason why its there, wat difference wud the top and bottom make?? is it hot engine coolant coming out the bottom hose through the radiator and out the top cooler or the other way???
  8. my r32 has 55w headlights, wanted to replace with 100w 55w draws 4-5 amps 100w draws 7-8 amps anyone dun this. is it too high current. can u think of any problems it mite cause????
  9. use to have 530cca 11plate, now got a 610 13plate. my car always hard start in the morning (2nd-3rd trys) so wanted sumthing powerful. 450cca is enough though, i jus went overboard.

  12. yeah the runners arnt individual equal length, looks like 2 main pipes goin to the flange with others welded on along the way. they claim power increase and blah blah but i suppose u only get wat u pay for, my biggest concern was the 'bolt on' part, i've found that with most performance parts unless its the genuine item then most copy cats have sum sort of problems with fitting.
  13. seen a seller on ebay sell low mount stainless steel turbo manifold for rb 20 for buy it now price of $250. seller is monster performance claiming it bolts on, 2.6mm wall thickness, equal runners... any opinions on them, i know ppl quiver wen they here ebay performance parts but there are ppl buying it so there must be user out there..... thanx
  14. got 2530 on my r32, full boost is b4 4000rpm (12.5psi). peak power is at about 6800rpm from the dyno charts (i think from memory) feels great on boost, sumtimes pulls hard enuf to slightly break traction in 1st cuming onto boost. feels abit laggy off boost and sumtimes wish it was more torquey but been told its like that being a 2 litre. have to rev past 7000 to make sure its in boost range on the next shift.
  15. need advice on how to remove the manifold. chekd in searchs and so far found out the chance of breaking/snapping the bolts are very high. is it studs on the head with nuts holding the manifold or bolts screwing into the head. obviously i have to take out all the piping and hoses and stuff but is there any special tools i need to get to the bolts/nuts or will a standard socket set do the job... wat if the bolts/nuts snap??? wat then.... anyone out there with experience and advice ??? thanx

  17. charlier34 = from your name im guessin u have r34 or ur description says rb20det, wat car u got ??? i dont think on r32 u can have the air blowing on the windscreen without havin the ac on. but all i do is have the ac on and up the temperature to medium/warm. jus cauz u got the ac on duznt mean u cant set temp to warm so u dont freeeeeze.
  18. hey ppl, selling sum new front strut braces. They are old stock from a mate which he gave to me so i thought i'd get rid of them cheap. They are generic brands to suit different models. $20each, prefer sydney buyers only, can meet up with me at my work in Smithfield if u wanna check them out. r32 x2 90-01 zx x2 86-93 rx7 x4 r33 x1 ------>> on hold for buyer 94-98 supra x5 Strut brace in the pix is to suit supra with plastic cover on the bar.   21. i thought the rb20 liked to rev, factory ecu limiter is set at 8200 isnt it?

  23. ahh....i knew it !! thats why i mounted mine upside down so the lines are coming out the bottom and tried to mount it high as possible so the lines are running down hill towards the sandwich plate :-)
  24. so does that mean the shiny flashy polished manifolds dont gain power its just to suit the high mount set up ???
  25. i have this theory and wud like sum1 to correct me if im wrong..... if the oil cooler is sitting lower than the sandwich plate does that mean wen u do a oil change the oil in the cooler wont get drained ??? if the cooler is mounted and the lines coming out from top how does that drain out ??? goin on that duz that mean the cooler shud be mounted high......
