  1. that easton bar looks nice, reminds me of a bmx handle bar. Hard to tell in that pick of the Kore elite, but I am taking it that if i replace my current Whatsemadoobee with that the extra degree rise will then bring my handlebars a bit higher. If so this could be exactly what i am after.
  2. Latest news is official launch late October so am tossing up to upgrade or not from win 7. Word is that it has a special raid style tool that speeds up hdd speeds even if different size hdds? But have also read many cons. Friend has a beta version which he is pretty happy with but wanted to see what all your thoughts were. Pros? Cons? Upgrade from win 7? Good for gaming?
  3. Sorry also dependent on thickness of the slab. 15mm no doubt should do the trick but we have industrial cement slabs which can be quite thick
  4. Mitcho 10mm and thicker is fine
  5. I do an annual order of Asics from wiggle. But it appears that there about to stop selling them. Where do you get yours for $150? Was going to use eastbay but then you have to use an external carrier which doesn't become all that cost effective.
  6. With the info you've been trying to give lately you would need a lot more than some yellow shoes ttt
  7. Yeah I had a quick ride on a drop bar and although it felt good I don't think I could do long distances. I wouldn't mind being able to upgrade the handlebar and the stem though and lift it up a bit more. Hmmmm now you have me thinking.
  8. Xalman not sure if your post is for me, but either way. My new bike is still a flat bar road bike, was lookig at the proper drop bar road bikes, but with the neck aches i get, its only going to make things worse when leaning over even more to look in front. Its still a flat bar but the compenentry and weight is fantastic, again, not being an apollo man, i was really suprised. Here is the link to the road beast: http://www.apollobikes.com/bikes12/commuter/exceed-40 I have since put on some Mavic Aksiums but so tempted to be the new Easton EA50 aero wheels, the look horn! P.S. thanks Marc for your advice and assistance, I love the new bike!
  9. Ahhh I wondered where this thread went. Since my last bike I went from a flat bar gt tachyon to an Apollo exceed 40. I have never previously been an Apollo guy but I gotta say with the 105 gear set it is a dream to ride and extremely light! Love it. Shaved my trip to work from 45 mins to 40 mins so definitely quicker and averaging about 30km/h
  10. Thanks for the response, looking forward to seeing some positive outcomes from the introduction of the Diplomas. I get invited to lecture at the Joondalup (West Australian) CIT to Cert IV students from time to time. The current course i think has got most of it right, especially in comparison to say AIF. The time taken and the mentoring seems quite positive from the candidates that are being fed through. That saying, as mentioned, more emphasis on business development will be fantastic. Keep us in the loop when you do start as to how it all goes and any major comparisons as you go.
  11. TM7, how is the Diploma going for you? It is still relatively new in the industry and feel it to be a great progression. We were consulted some time ago as to what benefits we as employers would like to see as part of the progression into a Diploma and the feedback was based with an emphasis on business development and management. What are the main advancements you have seen so far over cert IV
  12. P.S. just bought myself a brand spanking new GTX 670 Gigabyte OC windforce edition for this game!! Playing prototype 2 now with it without even breaking a sweat. all settings maxed.
  13. I went the soldier in the first one with the turrent as the special. used to hide behind and let it do all the work. What were the special features of the assassin?
  14. Would love to see pics of the case and the water cooling if ya get a chance
  15. AHAHAH love it! should be a good start ;-) On a different note, WTF will happen with Ricciardo? does anyone know if he will be re-signed? i know its his 1st year and all but would they be annoyed that their last two drivers were at least finishing near or in top 10 and the 2 newies are nowhere near it? I want him to be the next Webber but will RedBull allow for a long amount of time for him to adapt? His first race was a good one, then in went down hill.
  16. P.S. nice cooler that one. If my xigmatek dies i will be annoying you very soon :-)
  17. Sorry to say mate but i would be taking advice of what the guys have been writing above. +1 to them all. If it doesnt repair like "Iamhe" has written, then you will have to get yourself a new one and once up and running place your old one as a secondary, if you are lucky enough that it picks it up then copy your info accross and ditch it. Hmm actually just read again your using a laptop, take the advice of "sofreshsoclean"
  18. can you not just get a mobile inspection done, and do a revs check or whatever the equivalent is these days. there are services now that go to the seller rather than having to take it to the mechanic
  19. May i ask why you needed to buy a torpedo? In this instance actually sounds like a "pro" rather than a "con" if filtering is in place. Not sure i am too happy with random torpedo purchases to be honest. Then again it would be great fun in my local pool. Charge $10 a ride!
  20. Hmmmm, personally speaking we never use BMI anymore, but if we are just wanting to do a general analysis of an obese person it can assist. Of course the same cant be used for an athlete with high muscle volume etc as the pic showed above. ( P.S. i really liked that pic you posted Ghost run, sums it up nicely.) Not many (if any) fitness proffesionals use BMI anymore, except for what i mentioned. scales, calipers and blood pressure normally gets the point through But good question, I dont know why doctors are? you will find the more newer docs in the industry are using "Tanita" style scales that assist in taking Body Fat percentages for you in under a minute. I personally dont see doctors over here still using BMI unless if physically overweight/obese. You can always use the fat calipers (pinch test) but of course inaccuracy can show easily should two different PT's do it, eg scapula is a common mistake area. There is advantages to it for people who are overweight and could be at risk, a simple graph showing the general population then where they are at could be effective in creating pain to motivate said person. We still have one of these in our PT office to assist clients who may have high needs. I stil remember watching the Louie Theraux documentary on body builders when he says "Are body builders not fit then?" and the trainer said "Oh absolutely, in a different way but they are still unfit" There is parallels in extreme obesity and extreme body building - stretch marks, pressure on the heart, difficulties in running, chaffing. obviously things such as diabetes is reduced but I am sure i could bring up some more parralells for both the extremes.
  21. She's a keeper!! Catch and Latch on that one.
  22. P.s. all going to plan and my pc gets fixed, a nice new gtx 670 will do the trick, with borderlands 2 and hopefully fallout 4 on its way, there is no better way i can think of spending it on :-)
  23. Why do you have so many icons on your screen/s? I tend to be a little OCC with my icons as it takes up my desktop space.
  24. Ha ha, thanks loach. I didn't want to post it up like I was ranting and raving but I think it's important that people know what's right and wrong and is just so surprising they have continued without changing their business practices. If its happening to me, it's happening to others. I know msy a while ago was in trouble with accc but because of this any of my dealings with them have been great. They have changed parts under warranty no questions asked and even helped my friend while I was there diagnose the part that was under warranty and replaced. So thumbs up to them. If only the store I am dealing with now could learn the way they have.
  25. Thread revival! Well if you have bothered to read my journey thought this thread basically consumer protection stood up for me from a well known oc store here in WA. Basically I told them what was wrong and the parts were under warranty but they wanted to charge me to confirm the parts that were under warranty were faulty which basically under certain circumstances breached consumer law. Well sad to say but 7 months later AND still under warranty my motherboard has blown and.... Well..... Exact same experience. -My motherboard has blown which is still in its 12 month warranty period. -Leave it with us we need to run a diagnostic check which costs 65. -I have already run diagnostics checks., you can turn it on now if you like and it won't even show the bios screen - we will see this as part of the diagnostic check - no problems, but I assume if I am correct that the part under warranty if it has failed then I won't be charged -no - ok, is Jason the store manager in as I encountered this situation 6 months ago and consumer affairs had to get involved which ended up with your store refunding me on the exact same issue. Your store rebuilt this 6 months ago and should also have labour warranty - look if your not going to pay for this then we are not going to fix it I then recalled Consumer protection telling me the first time to pay for it and they will call them to organise refund. Sorry about the long post, I need to vent. It's just so dissapointing that even 6 - 7 months on nothing has changed.
