HAHAAH nice one, i have been trying to do that to my 33 but it won't suit my mags... HAAHAHA! only a car of that calibre could get away with doing that! if i ever see a skyline or supra like that i will cry! :lol: I will be going past Marlows in Balcatta on the weekend i will ask how much for a small can to be made up.... i have the burgundy colour AN0 i think the code is but i can't see much of a cost difference between colours.... correct me if i am wrong...

Oh no I live around there aswell, actually in Iluka about 5 minutes up Marmion Ave but i know exactly where you are talking about! I have seen many cars congregate around there skylines holdens at the maccas some nights.... can you remember what the guys look like? Did crimestoppers manage to get any photos of them in the paper? If so i will keep a look out for ya and call ya if i see em! Yeah that is my work associate Brendan. he has posted on here before a couple of times. It was very nice! i went in it a couple of times and drives beautifullly! he had keypad security on it which i don't blame him after some of the recent posts i have read! Yeah as the site says he sold it. His latest project is doing up a sylvia standard at the moment but i'd say slowly but surely things will be modded...... bit of a change, but those sylvias aren't bad for bang for buck!

How much did they charge you for the respray in the end?

Heya dude, I gotta say it's people like you that saves me hundreds of $$$$$! not ever taken the front bar off and thinking about getting a respray myself i will definiately keep that $150 figure in mind! Panel beaters are shonky as! the 2 that i have been to basically bogged over about 30 cm of my old cars door, did the worse colour matching i have ever seen and charged me $650! I was only just 18 so i didn't realise what good panel beaters were, i would rather not say what company it was but they are located in Kingsway....... I would be interested in knowing how the job goes for $150!

Hi everyone! I am chasing after some mesh style 17's or 18's (preferabbly 18's) that would fit on a R33 gtst. tyres would be nice to have aswell. Attached is a picture of something simliar to what i am chasing after! Attached is a pic of the mags i have now. I am chasing for ones similar to the ones i have now because my rear right hand side mag is missing a small cap which i am unable to match. Also if anybody would like to trade for ones similar in excellent condition and earn a few extra $$$ let me know!

Well i kinda agree with what your saying, however is it fair for me to say that whilst going around a corner it's not just (please not i have said "it''s not JUST") tyre grip that matters to stop you for sliding out, lower centre of gravity, harder suspension are factors in stopping you from losing traction? As far as going in straight line, i have standard turbo.... and... I HAVE NO TRACTION! i have 240HP at wheels and my 1st gear just rips my tyres to shred, you are right in saying that it all matters about control and I admit I aint that best take off expert ever created but until i figure out my exact throttle control I HAVE NO TRACTION. I think also when the lag goes and turbo kicks in that is hard to get it right coz just when you think you have the perfect take off along comes Mr turbo and nooo traction ..... I do kinda agree with what you saying slip it is a matter of traction control but in learning that control it is hard to get grip :-)

I know this is a kinda obvious thing to say but i have honestly spoken to my girlfriend about it! if ihad the extra $$$$ i would definately be there. I hope in future another event will be organised like this coz it would be a trip of a life time for fellow motor enthusiasts....!!! I hope something similar to this is done next year coz it sounds like an AWESOME trip!!

Couldn't agree with you more dude! the lines on a 33 are just sooo curvacious! Yeah the R34 looks nice but for now if i had the chance i would still go for my 33! i love the lines of my car!! i would never trade it for a 34.... until i blow the engine on it :eek:

Heya Adam, bit of a late reply i've been a bit sick for the last couple a days! To tell you the truth i am not too sure, i think it might be the standard rear but my car is just so dam low it's hard to tell :-) normaly the aftermarket ones hang a bit low but the rest of the car has got skirts and stuff so it's hard to tell..... By the way guys i have thought about the coke can think but it won't fit. at the moment i have all the caps off to make it look as though nothing is missing ..... wait umm yeah aaahh you know what i mean, so they all look the same! A friend has taken the caps to a guy near Morley to see if he can make a replica cast. fingers are crossed!

Thanks Heaps NIZ180! IS the offset the distance between calliper and mag? the ones i am after i see have an offset of 35 yet the specs that you gave from Taka Kaira say 37 & 42 other than that everything else seems ok. Is there a way i can adjust the offset to make the mags fit? :confused:

Hoooowdy Hooo! I am interested in buying a set of 18's for my baby and am unsure as to what mag size fits the r33 GTST. The only thing that has been done to my car is JIC coilovers so it sits quite low, however that shouldn't have an impact when buying the wheels. What i have been told to watch out for his calliper clearance and stuff like that. The following details are what i have been given : "18x8 front and 18x9 rear, 5x114.3 with 35 offset." Is anybody out there able to give me a hand on this one? i don't want to get them shipped over until i am sure these will fit thats all.... THANK YOU! :lol:

Yup thats the one...... I think i hopped off at Mill point roads then followed it round till i saw the carpark under the bridge, couldn't see any skylines there so went to the next car park with my friend, Harrased IMACUL8 and then no luck, Spewin i missed yas! would have been nice, Twas a beautiful day for a cruise. Ended up going to Cott for lunch with my gfriend and friend had lunch then mosied on down to Freo for a bit. I know this is besides the point but you know the famous pylon that people used to jump off at Cott, well they have now changed it and put a spikey point on it so no one can jump off. Cottesloe was always known for the pylon that everyone used to Jump off and now it is gone..... I have never jumped off it myself but man it looked FUN! :lol:

Well I think this thread will also help Booztor a bit aswell! I am missing my cap off my rear right hand mag? However this isn't just like a plastic sticker cap, my mags have actually got a metal cap about 10 centimetres in diameter, basically i have asked stores like Mr mag and speed wheels in Subi and Ian Diffen and they all said it would have to be made up? This really is a sore sight for my eyes when i see the missing cap and am goign to have to buy some 18's if i can't get it fixed, i would rather buy a FMIC than a set of 18's as besides the missing cap, the mags really are LOVELY! I AM GETTING DESPERATE FOR A CAP TO BE MADE ....PLLLLEASE HELP if you know of any companies that could help it would be MUCH appreciated! Attached is a pic and you can see on the rear the mag cap missing...

Funny you should say that. I am not having a go at any other dyno store at all, I am just stating a fact. A regular at Psi had a blue RX3 or RX4? VERY NICE condition. He had his car dyno'd at PSI performance around 210 RWHP that day he went to Myaree dyno to get something small done like a resonator or sumfin like that then also got a dyno there. MAGICALLY he gained 25HP on Myaree dyno and got a reading of 235HP. The guy was fuming that he paid money at Myareee from what he thought was a false reading! 25HP from a resonator??? I do trust PSI's dyno and am not puting down anyone elses dyno. Just giving the facts thats all........I was going to go i the rollaboyz dyno day. I should have done as that would have really proved if there was inconsistencies.

Yeah got fuel control but NO wheel control HAHAAH!! Yeah the SAFC did the trick! Ages ago c-red where trying to figure out a remap of the 33 GTST but they didn't go ahead with it so ordered th SAFC from Taka Kaira. put turbo at 11psi, dump & down pipe, high flow cat, air pod a YAY 240HP (238.7 to be exact!) PSI did it! Brett did an awesome job! he said he can't beleive the HP rating of the minimal mods i put on and kept a copy for himself to put in his personal file! so i was very happy! There was a HUGE difference that night on the way home about 50+HP at the wheels from when i took it in so you can imagine how excited i was on the way home! must say thanks to IMACUL8 aswell! he helped me a bit with the dump and down pipe and did stick his neck out for me... Thanks dude!

I have to agree with ya on that one! i don't think a petrol company is going to put themselves down. They just will tell you the facts that make them sound good not the ones that are the truth like from the Sydney Morning Herald. However they do say that we have some of the cheapest petrol in the world, perhaps this could be why... because we have the worst petrol in the world..... Man i feel like one of those conspiracy theorists! IN YOUR FACE PETROL COMPANIES :shake: ( i have always wanted to do that! )
