thats at least four canaries and a couple of EPAs coming your way....
-
Graeme, its a good opportunity to find out what is generally seen as a problem and could warrant a canary. Is a carbon bonnet cool on an R34 GTR?
-
same as speeding man, against the law.. seems all good things are. The euros have it right, 140 is the typical limit for the freeways. 110 is silly these days.

Do you sell illegally copied games ?

the support in this thread and others like it I have seen continues to leave me completely shocked..

Brand New Volk Racing
Aaron34 replied to mxfly's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
these rims are too good. I miss my set. Had to sell for the bucks... -
170K for an R35 which is no quicker than a mildly modded R32, R33 and R34 seems to me to be pretty heavy. Still bloody good value t 170K when compared to a Porsche or the meagre performance on a M3 V8 for similar bucks. You'd probably be better buying an EVO10 and throwing 30K at it.

R34 Gtr Extensively Modified To Mines Specifications
Aaron34 replied to Aaron34's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
not sure how to edit posts. It's also got Nismo AFMs, Nismo Super copper mix twin plate, HKS ignition module, big injectors, I also have most of the standard parts, including the bonnet. -
Here it is again with more information. I can't remember everything but the main points are listed below. Before you read any further, I am looking for offers in the 120K region. It's a killer beast and I totally love it but I use it more for charging my kids RC batteries than I drive it these days. The new rules in the bitumen rallies allowing Z-Tunes means this car now qualifies if you wanted to cage it up. So, here we go... 1999 model VSpec with around 40,000 genuine ks on it. Engine has less than 3000 ks on it. Most just driving around town. It was built this year with the following parts: New N1 block HKS 2.8L Kit Step 2 Rated 588kW(800ps) includes the following Forged piston kit (nickel plated & piston surface has a final molybdenum coating). - Fully forged & balanced counter crankshaft. -H cross section connecting rods. PISTONS Piston material is specially forged to HKS specifications. This ensures high strength, durability, reliability, and produced to high dimensional accuracy. As a result, this forged piston enjoys tremendous weight savings, and a well balanced part. The piston crown has a balanced & symetrical concave section design which ensures higher engine response. Any larger concave section will result in a drop in compression ratio, and will affect engine response. To reduce abrasion resistance, and to improve performance, the top piston ring is titanium coated. In order to acheive an overall low piston height, piston design with two thin piston oil rings is adopted by HKS. This ensures minimum friction, and a low tension type piston. CONNECTING ROD With the use of high pressure forging for the material, the part does not requires much secondary operations except for the mating bearing surfaces. High tensile bolts are used to prevent cap opening during high inertial forces generated at high RPM loads. CRANKSHAFT The strength of the crankshaft is ensured when the metal fiber flow is not affected during the forging process. It is a full counter form, balanced to high tolerances where smooth revolutions are ensured. This results in loads being evenly distributed onto the metal surface, and reduces frictional loads. It is extremely light and strong compared to the factory item, and other aftermarket performance crankshaft available in the market The rigidity of the pin side is improved with the addition of a rib to the connecting rod pin. The crankshaft manufacturing process is completed with a special hardening process according to HKS specifications to ensure increased reliability at high RPM loads, and reduce fatigue. Tomei Oil Pump Big 9 litre sump N1 water pump head work done by Ben at Racepace to his latest spec. This is crucial to the low end response. It feels like a V8 at low revs. 2860 turbos Suspension fully modified to give a nice ride around town without harshness and to also outperform most other cars at the track and through the hills. Includes: revalved Tein RA shocks custom upper control arms delivered mega caster and lots more Diff has been replaced with a shimmed up mechanical Brakes are HARROP with braided lines front 381mm rotors with 6 piston callipers rear 343mm rotors with 4 piston callipers Bonnet is genuine Topsecret single skin carbon Front bar is genuine Nismo Side skirts are Doluck Large trust radiator. Oil cooler... Has the Nismo multifunction display with 2 bar map and G-Meter page etc Nismo 320km dash with 7,000 ks on it. Comes with original dash with 33,000 ks on it. Exhaust is completely hand made 3.5 inch. Even has a working cat converter in it to keep the EPA off your back. Super quiet. In fact, while driving down the freeway, I can hear the climate control servo making minor adjustments occasionally. Every other big power GTR I have seen is loud and attracked the wrong kind of attention. Rims are 18 x 10.5 + 12 TE37s in black. Comes with 2 sets of tyres. The list goes on.... It cost me a fortune to get set up this way so it will kill at the track and be a really nice standard feeling car on the street. Looking under the bonnet the only clue it isn't stock is the combination catch can / washer bottle and the silicone intercooler pipes. It still runs the standard intercooler, airbox and plenum. Interior is tip top. Only the odd small scuff by a careless japanese guy around the ashtray. Currently it is producing around 390 rear wheel KW on normal pump fuel and is tuned safely so it can be driven to the track, take the win and drive home without breaking a sweat. The power delivery is amazing, it is strong from idle due to the capacity and top secret work on the head. It pulls hard from nowhere and hits around 300 rwkw at 4000 rpm. Most cars are only coming on boost then. This is very difficult to achieve with a working catalytic converter. Remove the cat, retune and the power will jump over 400 rwkw instantly. If you have the money, or know someone who can afford it, pass on the info and feel free to PM me for more specific info. I don't need to sell the car, but having it sit around doing nothing is a bit of a waste.

Forget Superlap - Lets Do Supertrack
Aaron34 replied to Snowman's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
you need to be able to edit the "I'm in" list at the start of the thread. Both Crazy Frank, his brother and myself can be included.... -
Those concrete patches on the inside of the kerbs are way too nasty for my R34. The rims and shocks would be in agony. Super quick little beast though. Love the way it hooks up..
-
then I'll have to go back again too !!!!

Hey there Brisby. FYI, you're one funny dude to be around. You cracked me up on the weekend. Should I include a time I got in Franks car? If so, 1.31.1 around Winton in an R33GTR... New Phillip Island time, 1:44.8 Oran Park time, 1:20.4 And, coolest of all, Nurgburgring, Nordschleife in a Golf GTI, 8:52....

It was my first shot at a good lap in the third session. I was letting the other cars in front of me get some space before hitting it which allowed him to get close on the lap before. I saw him hovering all over the back of me from the bridge but this was my first real flyer and his lap was already finished. He wasn't going to pass me on the straight without me backing off and if he tried that it would have killed both our laps. The knob should have rolled off like I did on the prior lap. I reckon he cost me a top 5 finish. I got pushed out of the top 5 in the third session by a 10th... Next time I will research tyres better. I had Falken RT615s. Jack (JAGR33) aka the Stig had RE-01Rs. I just did some googling and came up with this. RT615 = UTQG 200 RE070 = UTQG 140 RE-01R = UTQG 180AA RE55 = UTQG 40 (this is what we are set up for) Toyo R1R = 140AA. We should of bought the Toyos instead..... No wonder we were slipping around..... It was fun, but certainly wasn't quick....

Stunning pics Peddler... the talent on the day wasn't isolated to people in cars....
-
The 35 is insane. I was cheeky and asked the lady in the camper truck for the keys on Friday night to do some night laps of the track... Once one of those things get the boost wound up and a few other mods it'll be hard for anything to get near it. Even the Lotuses won't touch it.

Thanks to the local exhaust place, my car is now running again and able to be driven. Next stop is the panel shop for the rear bar and supports.... Some great photos getting around... 3 seconds before impact !!!!! Rear shot of complete tosser... "jeez Brett, the front of your car doesn't look too good" says the old dude

I hope the event gets more positive than negative feedback. I thought it was fantastic. I'm cool with any driver in any car in any class. If you can pull a better time, then who better to brag about beating... Plus if you can get on the tail of an expert, its bloody good insight into how to get around the track properly..and then knock them off, maybe.... I must admit the commentary was killing me... I had to sit in the car with the windows up to get some peace and gather myself for each session. It was so loud I couldn't even understand the dude.. Well done Nathan and Ian for getting it happening....You can take my entry now... FYI, I'm still pissed at that knob for ramming me ..... grrr.. what makes it worse is his head is so annoying...

Great event, awesome trip. Thanks JAGR33 for the lift in the truck... Was a bigger challenge than I thought it would be, new tricky track for the first time on street tyres. I'm more used to the power, braking and cornering of RE55s... Was plenty of fun though. My feedback.... AWESOME event. This is what has been needed in Australia for a long time. A great way for all the tuning shops and customers of tuning shops and the backyard mechanics who build great cars to get them on the track on the same day and battle it out.... I hope that the event picks up momentum and becomes a regular thing. There are some serious cars getting around in Sydney. Only damper was Brett Middleton, who happens to be a complete tosser, ran into the back of my 34 on the corner before the straight wrecking my hand made exhaust and damaging my rear bar. What a fricking idiot. I thought this was a sprint event, not a hardcore race for 100K in prize money. He tells me it is a racing incident and it was my fault for braking too early...mmm.... Farking stupid muther. A good few grand damage... I am now shopping for an old rusty WRX to enter into every event he enters so I can ram him into the wall and call it a racing incident...

I'd love to get my 34 to the ring for a shot. With a couple of whiskeys for courage it'd have to blow the new 35 in it's stock form. Maybe I could twist Theos arm to drive it. I'd have to "three ring of death" at least 10 Xbox360s to get to his level... Heard one of the new one's pulled 350 at all four with nothing more than an ECU..... Someone needs to buy my car so I can get one....Snowman, you need an upgrade...

I ended up selling them on ebay for 420
