  1. Yeah, I was thinking more of a structured modification history / blurb about each thing you put in there. So you talk about what was done at the latest tune, what things were found / what you tried and the results. Not just. Tuned to 200rwkw. That way you can sort of timeline the history and changes made to your car. But anyway, I will just turn it into my personal 34 project site. Cheers, Dave
  2. Oh well, I guess im turning it into MY car project Thanks Guys
  3. Crap. Everything I searched for I used "project" in, but car domain is pretty well exactly what I was looking at building haha. Any other ideas for uses of mycarproject.net ?
  4. Hi All, After the SCC06 QLD Skyline Cruise on Sunday, I had a look at everyone's cars and heard some stories etc... And thought, how good would it be for people to be able to publish their story of how their car got to the stage it is now. So, yesterday after a bit of looking around and not finding anything other that personal sites people have set up to show the world their unique and individual machine, I registered www.mycarproject.net and plan to make it into... well, a lot of things really. You would be able to blog (I hate that word, but thats essentially what it is) the entire history of your car, document your mods, upload pictures, journal its path from how you got it, to how it is now, comments / mini-forum - topical discussion. Another way I think of it is like a myspace for you car without all the gay yuppie shit (Not that there is anything wrong with being gay) . It is in no way limited to a particular brand or model of car, although it would allow searching for a particular make/model/year/engine type/size etc... And I want to give people the ability to show and express their interests in their own car. It is not an open forum like SAu, however it should have the ability for other people to express their interests in other peoples cars etc... So, I'm just after your thoughts on how you would think this would go and what idea's you think would be good to incorporate. I also emailed PranK about creating something similar for SAU only. Let me know what you think, Dave
  5. My mate got t-boned by a girl driving on her L's in her dad's company car. He was on 3rd party so he couldn't claim it through his insurance, and she definitely wasn't covered. When he got quotes for his car, they gave him a "You pay this much" and "Insurance pays this much" quote, depending on how he tried to do things... So I say, you are liable (as you know) but fight the 12k as I too think repairs for that much are way too steep. Dave
  6. Sorry for all the questions. Is there any technical differences between them? I was looking at a 2, just wondering if i might as well go with the original one...
  7. I'll just have to buy a second skyline... I wish...
  8. Hey guys, Pics are uploading... gonna take 2hrs for the full size images to be up. The thumbs are up there tho... Click on the (rather large) thumbs to get the full jpeg. The page full of thumbs alone is 14mb, so dialup beware. Let me know if there is a problem with the page, I only just hacked it up then... http://www.crimps.net/scc Cheers, Dave
  9. Well done organisers. Looks like a good day had by all. I had to take off early cause my daughter was ... well, being a bored cranky kid... Went back through mt samford & mt nebo. It was a good drive! I'll have a link to the photo's I took up soon. Cheers, Dave
  10. anyone got any tips for taking photo's on overcast days to get the best... umm... stuff that you want out of a photo? :| I borrows my old man's Panasonic Lumina which has crazy aperture, shutter and exposure stuff that I know nothing about... I would have posted in the photography forum, but i dont think it will get a response this morning...
  11. I'm checking with a couple of friends, so we may come along. We were going to book a unit somewhere and get hammered but this looks cool too... Will let you know as soon as I can. Dave
  12. Guys, the modification PDF CLEARLY states on the first page that it is to be used as a guide only and cannot be used as a reference to a point of law. You can't keep it in the car and tell the police it's ok cause it is in that PDF...
  13. Hey guys, I am looking into it today. Apparently there are 10 different keys for the R34 so you need to call up with your chasis number and model. I will get a price and post it up. Cheers, Dave
  14. Thanks mate. I was watching that thread at the start but stopped before it got to that bit. Was very helpful. I have taken a bunch of photo's so will do a complete how-to for everyone. Cheers, Dave
  15. Hi Guys, I am currently installing my stereo into the 34 and have done many installs on a 32 and commodores. But just hoping to get a quick answer on how to get the battery cable through the firewall. The drivers side has a heap of crap that runs on its side, is that where you guys run it? And is there an easy way to get it through there. Thanks, Dave.
  16. Now you can't have double standards like that... I had a great time at schoolies on the coast. We boozed up in the units then headed to the beach / streets... and you've got to expect that kids these days are no different. However, kids these days only want to destroy things and piss peope off which is what schoolies it turning into...
  17. No, $60 for the pair, $30 for just one of them if someone else takes the other. My old man has a pair of these in his drawer that he doesnt use. I thought they were walky talkie's... *yoink*
  18. I will express my interest in your standard R34 rear wing... Not sure what price it is worth tho.
  19. I haven't used any but I believe fulcrum has a good name. I think they are a bit pricey, but are good. Dave
  20. I wouldn't say that as you really have nothing backing you up to say he did it just to make the government money. He may be doing it as a personal grudge against "hoons" as his father may have been a car enthusiest and touched him in when he was a a little boy... But I wouldn't say that in court either...
  21. With the paperwork that he has received from Dep. Transport to clear the defect, he will clearly get that revoked. Whether you could persue any further for damages etc from QLD Police is another matter. As stated previously, because the officer was on duty, you cannot sue him personally for anything, however if you go after QLD Police, you may get him in the shit at work. I might ask my auntie who is a detective senior sargent if cops get in the shit when people try and sue the force. Dave.
