  1. I understand that, however when I got my commo i got done 20k over once, 3 points, and had to spend a year till they came back on 1 point... Then later when I had my 32, I got done for 13k over, which is now the new start of the 3 points (big difference). It is not hard at all to do 13k over in any car, but like you said, you will be more likely to do it in a skyline... We have all been like you and wanted the best car straight up, but what you do now will make more of a difference in the future that what you think. Or even if you know that, I know it is hard to see the forest through the trees. I lost my license 3 months before i got my opens and they added an extra 11 months to my P's... Dave
  2. Who uses the auto button? The auto butting just equals full fan to the head... constantly... no matter how cold it is. I hate that button
  3. Settle it on the drag strip? You want to buy the biggest HP car that you can under the law then settle it on the drag strip? Please... No one is going to take an NA 32 / 33 to the strip to challenge a stock commo... When I was 19 or 20, whatever it was, it was going to cost $1900 to get full comp on my NA 32. Got 300 to 350k to the tank, which will cost you about $55 (at current prices) and up to $70 (if it inflates again) to fill. And when your young, that will last a week or less i rekon. 2 options. Get the NA Skyline if you dont care how much it will cost just because it is still a dream to drive. Yes, every commo and even a lot of imports will line you up and then waste you... or Get the cheap car, tell ya mates they gay and they bought a commo because they have a small penis (just cause thats fun to say to your mates). Then you can rape them sideways at the strip when you finally have your worked 34. Even better, with the money you save, you may even be able to get the 34 earlier and start working it / taking it to the strip before its legal to drive on the road. But thats just some more money wasting...
  4. Just a note with that. On the very first page it says "This is only a guide and cannot be used as a reference to a point of law". Otherwise, congratulations. I would kinda like to get pulled over while my GTT is still stock, and see if they would try to defect it for anything... Except for the legal crap and costs etc that I would have to go through to get it cleared. I also don't think today tonight would do anything to help about cop's giving out bogus defects. Although they like to try and shock people with their stories, they are still normally stories that most of the public agree with. In this case, it would just be the majority of automotive enthusiests. I think the majority of the public would still want "hoons" off the road... As we are all targeted as hoons...
  5. I'm in two minds about this thread... I am 23 and had a vk commo when I was 17 till 19, got an R32 with RB25DE till 3 months ago, now have R34 turbo. I have $0... but ever since I had the R32 I just loved to drive the car. Every time I got in it was just a pleasure to drive... Obviously the 34 is even better to drive... I still don't know whether I would have gone the cheaper way around like some have. Although it is a very good idea... You may still be able to get an R34 turbo when your 25 or whatever, the difference is you may then have the money to put all the mods you want on... Lastly, you only have 4 points on your P's, so if you want a car fast enough to keep up with your mates commo's etc... it will only take 1 sting at 20k over to make you lose your license... it will push your 3yr P plate adventure push out to 4 years +.
  6. I would also say good for the price, but not for any real high end stuff...
  7. Wow that was quick. I did start a page before with car, engine, mods, comments etc that people could enter their data into. Then they could search/view the list of cars in the database and select the tickboxes for the cars they would like to see on the graph... That was the idea. I have only done the page which drops the info into the database. Sounds like you got this under control Willo, but shoot me a PM if you want help anywhere. This would be very easy to implement a login using SAu forum name and password to keep it locked down to memebers only, however that will need access to the DB to check the encrypted password against...
  8. BAHAHAHAHAHAH Thats fantastic! The people in the black people mover get out holding their necks and the last guy cracks the windscreen. ahahahaha
  9. I would say they are average to good. nothing great tho. I used to have a 75w x 4 amp and was nothing special...
  10. Sorry for not helping your sale but, do you know that you can buy an SAFC2 from Nengun for $360 Delivered?
  11. I use the auto timer, but sometimes I think it should run longer than what is on the timer. If I have been giving it a bit, I look at the oil temp to guage an idea of how long it should stay on for... Under 90 deg then what is on the timer is fine. Just over 90, I run for about a minute 95 +.. up to about 3 minutes Im not sure if this is a good way to guage timing length as I have no idea where the oil temp guage is before / after the turbo, but I would assume the turbo would heat the oil quite a bit, so going off oil temp should be ok to do...
  12. defect notices? j/k sounds like a good day!
  13. The altenator doesn't kick in tho to keep up with the current draw tho does it? I though that it just span at the same speed always spitting out the same power... But what is an extra $90 for a ground stabalizer to help the electic system keep up...
  14. Are the RPM steps the same every time or would you have to go through and fill in: RPM - RWKW - Optional: PSI & AFR for each step? I could host it on my site, and I only use if for email and I have like 20gb storage and 50gb / day data transfer. But I dont really have an efficient way to lock it down. I can integrate it into the forum if it was hosted on a section of SAu, then you would have to be registered on the forum to use it...
  15. Anyone want this turned into a PHP / MYSQL page? Would it get used enough? Could have the option to attach a JPG of your actual Dyno as well... Then maybe tickboxes like: Compare: Bass Junky Abo Bob Lithius So that when there is a heap in there its not just a huge mix of graphs... Let me know. Cheers, Dave
  16. Looks like a tops group of people to be running the show. I have only been a member for a month now, so looking forward to see how the QLD club goes! Dave
  17. I'll be there. Elios at Underwood is great too!
  18. Haha I bet you will They are fn hot wheels... I took a photo of one today on my phone... They are currently sitting at the wheel shop where he got his new ones fitted, so im gonna drop my car in there tomorrow and get them to put them on and see how they go... I haven't had my car lowered (rather engine mods first...), will it make my car sit much higher? And how do you think a 19" wheel will look on the skyrice... Have attached for those who haven't seen them...
  19. Hey, A freind of mine has some 19" Enkei RP03 with Nangkang SuperSport tyres on them going for an absolute stunning price. I have always thought that I wont bother changing the standard R34 turbo wheels unless I can across something very good. However, after reading about what tyre sizes / widths / offsets etc in the other thread I think there was someone with similar widths but in 18" and not 19 I dont have the offsets which I know are probably going to be the biggest factor but im pretty sure they will be +30+. EDIT: Actually I think the offsets are +40. So fronts we are currently running 245/35/19 and rears are running 265/35/19 and these came off a 350Z. What do you think my chances of getting them to fit as is are and with the guards be the biggest problem? Cheers, Dave
  20. Sorry, can't now... Being sent to Sydney for the weekend for work :| Enjoy the shoot, it should be good!
