  1. Sorry for taking so long to get back to this I had a lot of trouble making a group booking, but we now have a booking for 6-8 people (between 5:30 and 6:30) on Thursday the 1st May (earliest group booking available) at Pelican Plaza Donor Centre (North East Rd just past Tea Tree Plaza) - although the city is more central parking is almost impossible and too high a chance of getting doors bumped. If you can make this date can you please post or PM me.
  2. I understand why people are concerned about using too much water to wash a car (because you have swallowed the governments spin hook line and sinker - how can a planet with 2/3 of its surface covered in water have water shortages - really.) I thought this thread is about maintaining/restoring the paint finish on your car and getting the best shine possible. I dont believe any top quality car detailer would touch waterless treatments. The reallity is that the water prevents further damage to the paint when it both acts as a lubricant (with additional ingredients added) and carries away the contaminants safely. Some people like to wash their cars with dishwashing liquid or hair shampoo, I dont have a problem with this as long as they dont try to do it to mine.
  3. FW1 is just another waterless car polish, nothing that special. It wont remove any blemishes, and being waterless I'd expect it to add fine swirl marks. Save your money and use a bucket and soapy water.
  4. Congratulations Mark
  5. :laughing-smiley-014: - this comming from someone selling overpriced shoes that are "immense and definately an eye pleaser!" :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014:
  6. I guess those who hate scissor doors dont park in a carpark. Getting out of a coup with cars/poles next to you is next to impossible for a big fat fu*k like me. If you like them - get them
  7. No... i just dropped off my timing cover to be chromed on North East Rd. I was thinking of getting other stuff done later, so I'll check out Gold Star next time.
  8. I understand what you mean, For those without dogs try this experiment: Lock your wife/girlfriend and the dog in the boot of your car for one hour Open the boot and see which one is happy to see you Dogs are vary under rated, but the friendship and companionship is unconditional (on the pluss side a new dog won't ask questions or compare themselves with your old dog)
  9. it was a huge turnout, even if light on from SAU. If you didn't go, send an email to your local MP and tell them you want a track here in Adelaide. Its good for the econnomy, brings visitors to the state and reduces antisocial behaviour on the streets.
  10. We pulled out of health insurance. If you work it out the premium is based on the amount they expect to pay out (an average) plus a healthy profit margin. They assume you will pay more in than you get out. (if you are an averge healthy person) If you dont have private insurance you can still go private, and medicare will still pay its normal rates (you will have a gap to pay) Most of the really serious stuff is handeled by the public sector anyway. You can choose to have a baby in a private hospital, but if there are complications you will end up at the Womens and Childrens regardless. In our case we had one child with private health in a private hospital and it cost us a small fortune in gaps. The second was public, cost us nothing, and the service was just as good (but I didnt get free meals) My wife had to have a third knee reconstruction, so we saw the top guy in Adelaide (paid to go private due to her complications), had the opp inside 2 weeks and it cost us very little after medicare covered their component (around 2K from memory and much less than a years payments) I would consider private if they didnt have gaps (I figure thats why i pay my premium) and gave me the choice to see who I like (not a minimul group of budget doctors and hospitals)
  11. The carpark at magic mountain
  12. Rock Wallaby - on TV Ink wells in schools full Hoop Skirts Crop rotation in the village common Dodo birds hunting mamoths making stone axes having gills and no legs evolving into multi celled organisms (did I go back too far?)
  13. I will change the others as well, but I doubt I will be able to get Silicon. The only kits I have found in silicon so far are for the GTR's so I think it will be OME for me. (I prefer the look of the blue Silicon)
  14. I pulled the rocker covers off and its much more accessable. (but still a pain to reach) I'll try Nissan on Monday to get a collection of hoses, most of them are more like PVC pipes now rather than rubber. It's also given me an excuse to paint the rocker covers and change the plugs.
  15. bump this, i am looking for the same.
  16. Give Joel a prize, you were spot on Just went out for another look, and to follow the turbo coolant lines and I saw the leak. Its one of the 8mm hoses at the back of the head that feed/return from the turbo. (why didn't the use pipe instead of hose ) Now I'll have to get some replacements. Has anyone found aftermarket hose kits for the GTSt (I have seen them for the GTR) preferably blue silicone to match the other hoses, or will most of the GTR hoses fit in the GTSt.
  17. I found a heater and cooling diagram for the 33's but I bont think they have the pipe you are refering to. I did a few searches and read comments about the pipes under the 32 plenums, but they indicated 33's are quite different. Still a hard to reach hose would be preferable to a cylinder head off to get to a welsh plug.
  18. Driving back from the city today and noticed steam comming from my left wheel arch. I pulled over to find steam and coolant leaking from the back of the head. (between firewall and cylinder head, and up high) I can see that its comming from near the heater hoses, (but cant clearly see the source) and wondered if there is a welsh plug or hose on the back of the cylinder head. Has anyone else had this problem? Can you advise on parts; costs and options.
  19. Did yours have carpet on the underside of the bootlid? I'll take it if it fits a 4 door
  20. This was taken from a spot near my seat (I reckon they are the best seats at Clipsal)
  21. I think I got pics and a phone number
  22. I also had a great seat to watch the race, here is a short quicktime clip from just under my seat. How do I attach quicktime files? Its only 10MB
