HI guys a link to vid of Mark screaming round bathurst, man it was fun
-
i can tell you now there was a brake before the chase. interesting how much down force the car was making over the crests, the car was pulling down that hard on the road it was try to lift you out of the seat. 280 odd up mpuntain straight too. lol it was great to watch. definately plenty left in it, and if it was a race weekend and some close competition it would have found a second or two, but was not worth taking any risks. on the incar you can see he is leaving quite a bit in reserve. the hardest part was how fast he was passing cars & quite often they had no idea he was coming(not watching there mirrors), there were some close moments.

your best bet is just to forget the warranty on the brakes, it shouldnt effect the rest of the warranty just the brake aspects and buy aftermarket pads and rotors, mine also failed after the first trackday, i have since switched to AP rotors and project mu pads & no further issues at less than a third the cost. try racer industries on the gold coast

R34 Gtr On Warm Up Lap At Eastern Creek
giant replied to giant's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
wooster...i'll spew if you get to drive it before me!! lol well i just broke a record i reckon....brisbane to darwin in just over a day and a half pulling a caravan! haha average speed was above 130 and got booked at 137 at roma ( damn it). highest speed was bout 150 on the highway the other side of mt isa! but back to the r34 , yeah the tracktimes were good but there should be atleast another full second or so in it yet. the steering was locking up on some corners, not sure whether this is due to rack being severely bumped out or fluid surge but need to look at it. also need a better rear diff and a rear swaybar. and for eastern creek and bathurst in two months a taller diff ratio as it was hitting the limiter at the start /finish line on the front straight. and of course, up the power which has not been touched since the initial tune.( but of course this wont be touched until the thing is handling as good as we can get it) anyway hope to see you guys again soon bloody hot up here!! cheers russ -
hey guys as the title suggests, this is a bit of mark on the outlap at eastern creek the other weekend, not much footage but does show how fast it can pick up speed! cheers russ

i thought you can make changes to the exhaust from the first cat back within a certain percent of the original I.D? oops....apparently i had the loudest r35 at targa!! spose it doesnt matter when your not fast!! oh well i had a bloody good time...recce was heaps fun too.

how glenny's time!!! 16.1 in a nearly stock evo!! amazing -
good job paul! 182 for mark is just awsome!! when berry is on the strip with the ppg he flat shifts first to second, clutches second to third and flat shifts third to fourth, so basically the both straight back pulls are where he flat shifts. trying to 2nd to third flat shift can get pretty ugly ! lol especially if it decides it likes to go back to first.

very nice screamin!! fantastic
-
great stuff mate!

totally agree! bloody barstards!! i was at a 4wd winch challenge a few months ago in rocky and i could not believe the amount of spectators there on the friday night, was fantastic to see a few thousand watching. 50 odd competitors , some with superchargers hanging through the bonnet, nitro's etc. crazy stuff. they also had an event a few weeks ago called cliffhanger, some amazing machines, huge horespower, awsome setups, prize money was 30 grand! split up really well, 5 k for first some for 2nd & 3rd, also 1k for each person for a stage win! if you win an ARC round i think you get about $300 . lol the sad thing is rallying can be the most amazing to watch & has some of the most talented drivers.
-
it would be excellent to see the all comers events become more popular than a couple of stock evo's that we currently see running around in ARC & winning. currently the ARC couldnt be more boring if they tried. bring back group A (with no restrictors , the way it use to be), better still group b & group G!! until then all comers.
-
or enter all comers rally events (which look like the most fun anyway) and run no restrictors at all, run anti lag , breath fire , 4 wheel roost everywhere!!!

GTR R32 all the way!! i'll build one with ya benny, but cant do it till next year. (dont know who drives it, might have to take turns, but i'm not getting in that silly seat) i would love to hear a properly built r32 gtr screamin through the forest. i have never heard one in more than 12 years in that scene. gtrs have an amazingly good 4wd system, great response when geared right with good turbo's( even with restrictors) & super tough drive train when the box is replaced, main prob;em i see is making the chassis strong enough and getting a faster steering rack. mmm sounds like a plan

maybe stop shagging so much!
-
the australian delivered cars are a soft launch anyway, should not be an issue at all. but i do understand your caution.
-
did plenty when i first got it, 11.3's & 11.4's mostly, with speed limit still active
-
hey roy very cool video mate, lucky barstard!! good driving too.
