  3. I am still getting over how awsome that event is!! cant believe some people have done it nineteen times! Awsome driving Ben!!, like i have said how do you possibly go back to work and explain what you just did when some asks "so how was it?" so far i have answered with," i am still alive! i didnt crash", "i went passed around 60 + crashes in stage"," it was the most exhilarating thing i have done & the most dangerous" etc etc it's a credit to anyone who competes in it! learning pacenoting was a great challenge and it feels fantastic as i learnt to understand and trust the calls. once again awsome speed shown Benny!!! and of course would never happen without Tim on the left!!
  4. hey guys had a quick read through this thread. the r35 is truly a masterpiece of engineering, yes it's weight is against it but the new evo 10 is 1600kg too. the main thing at this point in time with the car is knowledge or lack of! my car broke as a result of around 150 plus launches hmmm. maybe a few too many? i call it destructive testing. it also went into limp mode but only because i was seeing a missfire in the engine, they also seem to go into a limp mode ocassionally when everything becomes abit busy , it seems to get confused, in good time these issues will be sorted. i have a real soft spot for the complete mechanical car that doesnt control too much but this car allows an awful lot and is just amazing when the pace is really on. the devolpment on these cars will be fantastic to watch and be part of.
  5. yeah .. true before we dry sumped, we were upto 13 engines... and we were so close to giving it away we have only built two engines in the last two years now , the one in the r32 is still the same donk we fitted before Tsukuba ( it's almost two years old now) and the one in the r34 hopefully it can become two years old too..lol but yeah dunc, it's a bloddy pain in the ass when it's different things, how were the oil temps? also i reckon if you can run an accusump , bloody good idea, rules permitting ( if its cracked oil pump one word, REIMAX)
  6. wow.... it's coming up on us quick now!!! how cold is it down there guys?
  7. haha....your a classic fatz!! i remember how much you gave it to that car of yours !! awsome i had a great weekend back then i really want to do that again some time ah yeah ....slip a fiver down her knickers for me too ( mark just got engaged ...so we really should have a huge bash and send him to thailand or somethin!! )

  15. thanks jason reason i thought it must have been my third run, is i was sure that car 79 had gone quicker than me, but i probably just read the board wrong cant wait to get down to targa, atleast the conditions are the same here at the moment!! i took some pictures on my phone of a gorgeous 1200 coupe, i will try and upload.
  16. ahhh good to hear ! some absolutely stunning cars on display
  17. yeah mark came back in and said he decided not to hang around and wait for them to touch again so he shot by them !! lol
  18. one thing i found a little odd was the car of the show being awarded to a holden powered vehicle. not taking anything away from that beautifully prepared car though!
  19. car 79 was very fast!! looked good too!! would love to have seen marks or jp's times on slicks! the r35 had quite abit more in it , as it laps there on street rubber at about the 1:07's, the 1968 2ltr atmo car getting 3 sec's off me has more to do with my driving skill (or lack of) & caution (as a few cars came together , which was unusual) & my car leaving for targa tomorrow. also think that 3.37.09 was my third & last run which was in the rain!! which makes me happy.
  20. yep great event for sure! i only got two sessions for time ( as first session had an issue with a boost hose) first full 3 laps were 3.37 i think, my next session wouldnt have beat that as it was raining. (damn it) i love that track!
  21. hey guys just got home. nice to catch with most of you guys. i really enjoyed saturday! the carshow was really good! some beautfully preped z's and dattos , fell in love with 1200 ute had a good night drinking(slept in the trailer at the track) and catching up with stuart saturday night too . but the fun police were a bit out of control, mark was told no more racing as well(warned), i dont care who they are(john or otherwise) i would like to see them try and not turn tyres in the r34 and keep it straight maybe they should look at the laptimes too. sprints were fun today but packed up when it started raining. the r35 was getting serious brake knock off today so need to fix by tuesday!!
  22. congrats snowy! and all the other guys awaiting there cars it really is a fantastic street car, you will love it even more when you drive it! when i got mine the expectation was really high ( so i thought i maybe a bit dissapointed)but driving it even outstripped that.
  23. maybe we could sponsor you with a motor dunc? it's not an n1 block though, its out of out r34
