  1. hhmmmm..... i dont know for sure how much the Stagea weighs, (Terminal will know), but i reckon it'd weigh around 1600kg.... like i said, thats just a guess . my brothers JZA70 Supra weighs around 1600kg and thats a manual, buts its also factory widebody but generally speaking, 15-1600kg is a heavy car. (from my point of view anyway...)
  2. My hero....hhmmmmmm....... i've got so many "hero's" and people i look up too theres too many to list! however, some of the people that i look up to are... 1. Mark Webber : he is living my dream of being an F1 driver. constantly under pressure to perform and having to drive a car that is not as quick as the others and out performing them is just amazing. keep it up mate! 2. Jayce!!! yes JAYCE!!! believe it or not, i do look up to you mate. your knowledgeable on many subjects and a great guy to boot. if i can have earned and achieved as much as you have by the time im your age (you old fart!! ) then i'll be happy. cheers.... Jayce, PS: you can pay me the money for sucking up to you later.....
  3. being auto and heavy, just be mindfull of your brakes. i probably dont have to tell you this, but when your on the track, just go for say 3-4 hard laps than have 1-2 slow laps to cool everything down. thats how i keep the temps down. otherwise everything over heats and you have to pull off the circuit....
  4. any advice that SK gives is always good....
  5. hopefully not too warm, want some cool air for the ol' hair dryer!!!
  6. i can tell you leech's car is pretty much stock. its a bloody neat example though... my car doesn't give a crap which fuel is in it, it just goes when i tell it to. Vortex is no different to the other fuels. in fact it comes out of the factory at 100 Ron and is blended down to 98...
  7. well 1 tank wont last you the whole day. i usually fill up in Goulburn at Caltex during the lunch break, not becuase im low on fuel, but because i dont want to be low on fuel at the end of the day and have the car to surge through the corners. doing that saves bringing jerry cans and will get you home without having to fill up on the way back... plus you can buy half decent food rather than be over charged for a 3hr old burger at the track!!!
  8. i was thinking the same thing. i reckon meet at the Shell servo at EPIC at around 7am for a 7.15am departure. by the time we drive there, sign on and remove all the 'loose' objects and stuff from our cars, it'll be just about 9am. so im thinking that should be the go. plus its a saturday, so im thinking it'll be busy at the track, so the earlier we arrive, the better.....
  9. Damn right. you know you've found a good thing when you see him working on Jim Richards racing Porsche!
  10. both teams suck...
  11. if your not sure, then take it to someone who does know what they are doing. i never make my own adjustments cause i dont have a way of accurately measuring how much adjustment i make. if you play with it and get it wrong, your car will handle poorly and your tyres will wear very unevenly....
  12. DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!
  13. This is true. by simply lowering your springs, yes you may have lowered the centre of gravity of your vechicle, but you've actually increased the 'roll centre' of the car. basically, you've induced more body roll. however, this does really only apply to cut or lowered springs on standard 'type' shocks. having coliovers, this really shouldnt affect you that much....
  14. What brand are they? are they dampening adjustable? do you have a camber castor kit? simply lowering the height of your car won't give you 'great handling'. you'd also have to play with the dampeners, camber angles, spring rates, toe angle and sway bar settings.... sound like its too much? do a quick search in the suspension and brakes threads and you'll find more than enough info to help you out....
  15. theres a open practice day at wakefield on the 21st of october (saturday) if anyone is interested..? me and some of the ACT boys are going for a blat. just thought i'd let you all know incase you wanna 'brush up' for the day of battle!!! HA!
  16. Welcome guys Hope to see you out cruising soon, like this friday night perhaps.... nice one jayce... Tridentt150v: well said!!! HA!
  17. Well as the title says, there is a track day at Wakefield park on Saturday the 21st of October. Its just a no speed limit day, so its open to anyone and any car. It'll cost you $90 for the day and $40 if don't have a wakefield licence. These days are great fun and a good chance to see what you and your car are made of!!! You'll need full body clothing, as in long sleeve cotton shirt, jeans (or pants) and enclosed shoes. If you don't have a helmet they are avaliable to hire on the day for $10 with a $50 deposit. The track opens at 9am, but its always a good idea to get there a little early to sign up and get yourself organised. I can't wait, its going to be such a good day. So who's interested? Its a Saturday, so most of you don't have 'work' as an excuse..... Hope to see you there! Meeting Place: Shell servo at EPIC Time: 7am for a 7.15am leave... People coming... (if i've not listed you, just post up that your going... ) Frink Bullet32 leech (maybe) R34-GTT Terminal Supadan
