  1. HAHAHA!!! Business name: Kashmir House Location: Narrabundah shops Food Type: Indian Taste: 10/10 Service: 8.5/10 Value: 9/10 this place is just awesome. once you've eaten this curry, anything else tastes pretty bland. the best ever rogan-josh, great vindaloo and good service. the resturant seems a little 'cheap', its pretty old, but it won best indian resturant the last 2 years running..... Warning: curry could potentially cause dis-comfort to the rectal area. if a stinging sensation persists, see your doctor.....
  2. i used to race karts. you can heaps of fun for about $3000. buy a 2nd hand kart and racing gear and get into it. i cant remember how much a club licence/membership is, but it ain't cheap, and you've also got to do some marshalling too. but its all worth it. if you want to be competitive, then you've got to start spending big dollars and take the time to test and configure your kart to each circuit you race at. tyres, engine rebuilds (after about every 12hrs worth of use!) and basically not stingeing on anything which you might have in the past.....
  3. nope, the restrictor trick didn't work. im really stumped. im gonna try a different solonoid tomorrow. the only other thing i can think of is that i haven't wired into the solonoid properly..... anyone else come across this??? also, what settings are other people using? load points and duty cycle %. im just curious.... cheers
  4. thats why the old system was good. the best team was really well rewarded with 4 points over their closest rival in 2nd place. renault seemed to settle into a 2nd place 'rythm' towards the end of last year. was a little disappointing....
  5. HELP! HELP! HELP! WOW! i just installed the boost controller and it works. it works a little too well. i just changed the plumbing of the wastegate actuator and solonoid to what SK had it on the 3rd page and no matter what settings i put into the unit, i cant keep the boost under 15 psi! dangerous... YES!!! what have i done wrong? any help would be great. have i plumbed it in wrong? i can post up some pics you like....
  6. anyone doing the whole 'driving' thing tonight? well i say driving, i mean stand around and freeze!!! i'll be out and about.....
  7. i think there is no doubt that the williams is fast this year. not championship winning, but good enough to be on the podium. webber is driving bloody well, he just cant get the reliabilty he needs to finish races and score points....
  8. maybe he should take up a career in demolition derby? (sato...)
  9. i haven't been out for a while, so i might make an appearence, but dont hold your breath.....
  10. damn nik, thats a flashy new radiator!!! spotted a red R32 gts-t 4 door with a shopping list, chromies and wing which looked like an R32 GTR wing on steriods! it was huge, yet manage to retain the factory shape....
  11. i'll put in, if we wanna do something like a group buy/order thingy....
  12. i once had a lady stop me in a carpark and ask me to slow down. i asked why, i was only doing 10kph? she said that "children run around and play here...". i simply said "then get your kids of the streets and learn how to watch and control them...", then i just drove away.... im sorry, i hate kids.... another thing that sh1ts me is that when people are walking and talking on their mobile, they become entrapped in their own little world and forget that they are walking through a carpark or crossing the street. they dont even look sometimes and just step out in front of you. NEW LAW: When operating a mobile piece of equipment, ie; mobile phone, sony PSP, personal organiser etc, you are legally required to stand completely still.
  13. just thought i should say that i no longer work for the ABC. they wouldn't re-new my contract, so im back doing what i did before. working at Good Guys in tuggers....
  14. pretty much.....
  15. my coilovers cost me about $1600. thats it! they are great. visit the otomoto website HERE... my knowledge of LSD's is also very limited. but basically, Beer Baron is correct. serious drifters will always use a 2 way LSD, as it locks up in both acceleration and deceleration. you dont so much need it for circuit applications, but serious racers will also use a 2 way LSD. i cant tell you why, i just know that they do. correct me if im wrong though.... maybe some of the more experienced guys could tell you more?
  16. the 1st skid pan day i went to was awesome. it was with aaron mcgill and all he said was "i ain't gonna give you advanced driving tips or tell you how to do it. all i'll say is what to do and watch you do it. if you come un-stuck, i'll tell what you did wrong and how to correct it, but the best way to learn is to just get out there and do it..." practice makes perfect.
  17. do you have sway bars and strut braces? they will help with body roll and the flex in the chassis, but they wont solve all your problems. i recently bought some HSD - HR coilovers for my R33. these, for the price, are surprisingly good and are adjustable in spring, dampening and height. along with adjustable camber kits, control arms, sway bars etc.. made a huge difference to the car, especially with regards to 'body roll'. its fun being able to play with your suspension settings when your at a track day. my car also spins the inside wheel when its on the track. playing with your suspension (if its adjustable...) wont make to much of a difference. the standard LSD in the skyline isn't that great and wasn't really made for hard track work. i'd recommend a 1.5 or 2 way mechanical LSD, something i'll be doing eventually. even though this is really expensive, it'll stop the problem of spinning the inside wheel when cornering and it'll make your car a whole lot more fun and challenging to drive
  18. i was wondering how long it'd take someone to post this up. its very nice. seems cheap, but i happen to know that the reserve price is close to $40,000.....
  19. spotted a yellow R33 gts-t with chromies and red number plates. looked hot. gave a wave, but the driver was too far up his own arse that he probably couldn't see the sun, let alone another skyline.....
  20. HA! i think your right. i didn't even look at the website, i was just trying to find a picture of the tyre
  21. i understand where your coming from on this, but still, i bet the majority of 'lines out there are rev limited. and the ones that aren't (mine included...) just have to be careful and use some throttle control. i regularly put my beast on the track and even when drifting out the corners, i still manage to keep it under the redline. i'd be lieing if i said that i haven't had my car over 7,000 RPM, cause i have, but because i take excellent care of the motor, i dont worry so much when it happens.... look in the end, were all different. if you feel the need to buy a shift light, then do it. im just enjoying having a friendly discussion about a topic which has so many sides to it.....
  22. no, those are the 595. they are the street tyre. these are the 595 RS (semi-slick).... Link... if i'd had known about this website before, i would've bought em from there!
  23. depends on the width of the rim..... 235 is only the width of the tyre. i've got 8inch wide rims on the front of my car and i run 235's on them. you'd probably struggle to fit 235's on anything under 7 inchs....
