  1. im a ferrari fan and a big schumi fan. the guy can drive. in his 1st year for ferrari in 1996, he managed to win 3 races in what was an extremely slow car. i was a bit suspect on the damon hill incident, but i reckon that the incident with villeneuve was more of a 50/50 thing. i haven't seen the footage for a while, but if i recall correctly, villeneuve moved to the inside going for a gap which was closing pretty fast, and locked his inside wheel. schumi turned in, which he was intitled to do. villeneuve hit schumi about 2/3's down the side of his car (towards the rear...) and damaged the ferrari's right rear suspension. racing incident, in my eyes anyway. schumi could've given room, villeneuve could've waited longer. but if you were going for the world title, you'd probably do the same.... my 2 cents.....again!
  2. here here! HA! will this ever end?
  3. ok, i'll see if i can muster up a cameraman to ride with me.... Jerra Pub at 9.45am for a 10am leave. NOT A MINUTE LATER!!!

  9. um, this is this weekend isn't it? so is anyone still interested in going?
  10. well i've been using Federals for some time now. the 595 for street and the 595 RS for track days.... Federal 595 (street) Dry: 7/10 Wet: 8/10 Value: 9/10 I bought these through a friend in tyre industry, even though i got a discount, they are still a hell of a lot cheaper than other brands for the same kind of tyre. these are the top-of-the-line street tyre in the Federal range, which is one below the semi-slick. when i 1st got them, they weren't that great, but once they wear the top layer of rubber off, they are just awesome! however, once they reach their peak, they drop off quite a bit and you dont have the same amount of grip again, but for the price, i would definately buy them again. i paid around $600 for a set of 4. (Front: 235/45/17 - Rear: 255/40/17). "regular" prices i've been told aren't that much more expensive.... Federal 595 RS (semi-slick) Dry: 9/10 Wet: 8/10 Value: 8/10 I bought these from the same friend, but he couldn't give me as much of a discount as with the others. these are the semi-slick version in the Federal range. i bought these recently for my track day at Wakefield last saturday, and i gotta say that i had so much grip that i didn't know what to do with it!!! i had them on the car a few days before so i could wear them in. i used em in the wet and dry and was surprised to find that they had extremely good grip in the wet. i paid about $1400 for a set of 4. (Front: 235/45/17 - Rear: 255/40/17). these tyre's are supposed to be good for about 10,000 km's or more. i'll definately be buying these again.....
  11. i wouldn't be surprised if you see him there next year. i think ferrari were a little to optimistic about massa and if he continues to make mistakes, they wont re-new his contract....
  12. well that was just awesome! shame everybody else missed out. am glad i spent my money on the suspension and brakes and not on the motor! was good to see so many other cars on the circuit too. Glen, nice to meet you mate. i'll be trying even harder to keep up with you next time..... MIVEC rocked up late. supadan was the only other skyline at the meeting place on time. but was a good day had by all. got some good footage and pics too. Mark, feel free to post em up.....
  13. i think as long as it complies to the safety regulations of Aus roads and has a little red and silver sticker on the side, it should be fine. im using an open face helmet......
  14. well i hope its not raining tomorrow. i'll still go if it is. my semi-slicks are surprising good in the wet. i mean, they are awesome. was trying to get them to understeer and oversteer, and struggled to do both. wow! anyway, hope to see you all tomorrow......

  16. you running on the track MIVEC? i've got a couple of the SAU guys coming up for a look. i like the idea of meeting at the Shell Servo at EPIC at 7am for all those on SAU that are coming. Glen, if its easier, i can meet you at the track if your guys are going the back way. i'd prefer to go up the highway with the new coilovers....
