  1. i've only used em for a short time, but they do grip really well for just general street driving. they are great in the wet too. however, they are reasonably noisey when cruising around or highway driving, but the stereo should fix that! they dont 'screech' either....
  2. a good driver and a good owner knows exactly what RPM's his or her car is doing just from listening to it. im not that saying that you are bad drivers for using one, but seriously, unless you have a high powered race car or drag car, you really shouldn't need one. most lower catergory of race cars dont use them, as it a good way to teach the driver about their car, by using their ears and the feedback from the car rather being told when to do it by an automated sequence of light(s).
  3. i had the exact same thing happen to me yesterday. i was going straight from the right lane, she was going straight from the left lane. just about to give it a boot full to go past her, as she doing 20 kph under the speed limit, and she decides that she wanted to turn right all of a sudden! didnt even look or indicate! i had to hit the skids and swerve right along side her. i went off my brain! i can understand the idea that she may have been lost, but thats no excuse to dis-obey the basic road rules..... not happy jan!
  4. shaolin, the place where i bought them from hasn't sold too many of them and couldn't give as much of a discount. i bought em from a wholesaler. you must've gotten yours hell cheap.... damn canberra's stupid high prices duncan, i heard about these from a couple of guys down here who know their stuff. i took their word for it, cause i trust em and it paid off. i looked around for a link, but because im lazy, i didn't get very far. i can tell you that on my car around wakefield they were pretty damn good. i drive a near stock R33 gts-t with lots of suspension work. for my 1st time out i managed roughly a mid 1.12 lap. i couldn't pick a fault with em. however, they did start to go off towards the end of the day, as the temps got warmer and warmer.
  5. i'll vouch for this car. its damn nice and surprisingly quick too! sorry to see you sell her glen
  6. what a entertaining race. the ferrari is a genuinely fast car this year, i just think that bridgstone need to put a little more into their research. aside from the 'graining' issue with 2-3 lap old tyres, they just dont seem to have the bite that the michilens do. i think jenson button will be the most sucessful un-sucessful driver in F1! he just cant seem to pull it all together on race day. well done to massa too, who drove rather maturely considering what he had done in the prior few races. and webber just stuck it out to hang onto 6th which was good. dont you just love the way that montoya just tells it like it is?
  7. ahhh.......
  8. yeah thats true. brakes and suspension win races, well not drags anyway.... BTW, how many of those fizzy lollies do you have left???
  9. yep, in wanniassa. you stalking me?
  10. i'll take you for a spin when i next put the semi-slicks on should have put em on for saturday..... you did well going over the "hill" mate. i know what its like to have "soggy" suspension, thats why i spent so much money on it. you got more power than me though
  11. cant wait till tonight, its gonna be awesome!
  12. well that was a sweet drive! the clyde is so much fun, if you got a car that can handle the turns, like me HA! seriously though, it was great day and a shame that most of you missed out. ah well.....
  13. ferrari always seem to do well at imola. this year should be no different. MS has been 'talking it up' over the past week, so ahould be a good show. however i have a feeling that it might be the same as last year. a close fight, but a renault on top....
  14. PM sent.... these things are gonna look cool!
  15. spotted a white R33 GTR with white enkei (spelling???) wheels going south on tugger's parkway at about 8.30 last night.
  16. how the heck did you come to own something like that???
  17. well you gonna ride with me then?
  18. mmmmmm.....F40 goodness mad, spot the evo 6.....
  19. mick is coming too..... im trying to get bluprint along as well, but he isn't driving. c'mon, put your new diff to good use ok, not to put a downer on the whole thing, but i hope everybody doesn't think that we'll be hitting the highway at 160kph! sure have some fun on the clyde, i know i will! but pls be safe about it. a big group cruising down the highway is a reciepe for disaster, just ask me, mark or mick about a certain r31 cruise a few years back. not to mention we will attract plenty of attention from the boys in blue. 2nd thing, i hope you all bring a CB radio as this will make life so much easier to communicate with.... cant wait for saturday!
  20. we're gonna have a good turn out boys.... sin, i hope she's ready mate. its been too long
  21. i understand what your saying, but i think the chapter in the history books of ferrari which include MS would be one of the best chapters in ferrari's history, cause of what and who he brought to the team and in bringing them back to winning form. even if MS does move at the end of the year, (which i dont think he will...), you'd have to have a 'soft spot' for him? webber stated right at the start of his career that his dream would be to drive for ferrari one day, but having a few years in F1 now, maybe he's changed his opinion.....
  22. damn! i wouldn't complain if i went home with either of em....
