  1. I bid $2 :headspin: And you pay for postage ok ricknismo??? jk Thats a pretty rare pic you got there mate, i recon it would be worthe a bit to the right person but if it was me i would be holding onto it
  2. The stock amp is underneath the rear parcell shelf in the boot. Open the boot up and stick ya head in there and thats where it would be if ya got one. As for speakers it depends again on the vehicle in question really like the amp. It maybe driving just front or rear or both. Installing a new amp/sub is pretty easy, just time takes time, common sence and some patience really. Give us the heads up on what you want to do and im sure that you will get plent of help for what you want to do
  3. It would be hole heap easier if you were to just use cardboard to wrap around then fibreglass that instead of the cloth!!! Thats the way i built one of them and the other out of PVC just to see which one was better. Working on those pics
  4. You can't go wrong with who ever you go to down south really, be it Griffo, Geof or to Andrew. All top blokes, all know there stuff and will look after your wallet as well
  5. Thats enough laughing at me from a distance PHat MR30  If we get the car ready then i'll have a drive, if im not there to partake then i'll be there to party
  6. Its all personal preference really tin, its if you like the HU, its got the features looking for and will do for the install you looking at. Its the price range and easy to use. VDO are a good budget HU but dont go past the JVC MP3 range either. Pioneer are a good deck with dual and sub pre outs (sub control) and are fairly easier to use. Any HU that has at aleast 2 pre outs (and sub control if your running them) that has a frequency range and mp3 then your laughing all the way to the bank mate
  7. BWAHAHAHAHAHAH, DLuded your killing me I can't believe that there is :bs!: like this out there and people get suckered in and loose there hard earned $$$'s to a scam
  8. You guys are lucky. On the 32's its located directly behind the instrument cluster. You have to dismantle the dash to get to it so you can snip the wire. When your looking for the cef one, if you remove the door/light chime you will this will affect your alarm/central locking (if you got it) the only way to over come this is to wire them into each other so you still have a closed circuit. But this will eliminate your warnings by doing this.
  9. Yeah you can bypass it and use the existing speaker cable that you have wit ya new amp, just make sure that you have segragation so you dont get any noise through your speakers. You can yank the old one out if necessary as its just an anker weight anyway, about all its good for
  10. Yeah i got the "How-too" that Marc wrote. Very good article and has put me in the right area to do what i need. You got any pics at all of yours DLuded???
  11. Go and check out you local plumbing store as they can get it for you or do what i did and went down the road where there are some road works being down and water mains being replaced ( found this method a lot cheaper too  ) You cut up MDF rings that you screw/glue to the inside of the PVC and cut the inlet out for the sub and screw the sub to the MDF ring. My tubes are ported so no baffling and i dont think you need it as there a small enclosure to begin with. I have carpeted one and sprayed the ends that i got and i have made up some mounting blocks so i can strap it down in the boot. I think they look ok for what they cost me and the job there doing. I have only hooked them upto a friends amp so far which does not have a low pass filter or a inbuilt x-over either but they both sound pretty good. I'll get some pics up asap and let me know if i can help ya out at all if you decide to build on???
  12. The stock amps are all varied. Some are Alpine but most are Clarion. They are around 25 - 30W X4 i believe (although that would vary too) they aren't that flash and your new HU would have a higher output (generally 50WX4) which is around 23wrms, so run new wires from ya HU to ya speakers and it will sound 100% better. You wont get bass at all out of your speakers as the stock amps dont have any filters and a vairable gain at all. SO its again all got to come from your deck. Hope this helps :headspin:
  13. I have built 2 now. One with cardboard and the other PVC pipe. The PVC sounds better in my opinion but everyone is different. Not much to them really and it doesn't take all that long to make them, just have to be precise with your measurements and cuts and screw/glue it all together. Tell me what ya want to know and i'll try to help ya out. I'll post some pics up when i get my camera back and if i ahve time i'll put up a vid of what they sound like
  14. Can you get turbo parts, i was thinking of just replacing the turbo wheel in my stock RB20 with a steel one instead
  15. Anyone recieved pics at all??? Want to know what they look like and some specs on them if there is any
  16. Ok so all components aquired for the system and i have the materials for the SD of the front doors. I have my cabeling and the only thing im waiting on is a maxiblade type fuse. I'll take a couple of pics along the way and let you know how it all goes. Im aiming to ahve the complete system installed and doors SD in 2-3 days. Depending on how much help i get from a certain SAU member
  17. Hey DLuded how long did it take you to do your doors???
  18. Best place to buy one from and the pro's and cons of a sequential BOV???
  19. I'll give ya $150 for it
  20. How'd ya go with it mate, sort it out yet or not??? I'll be up your way in a couple of days so let me know
  21. Yeah i hear what ya saying. The WRC screach is what im after or somethign similar, but the pigoen squealing sounds very interesting as well. Might be worthe looking into that if someone gets more details.
  22. Yeah mate that would be good if ya could
  23. What ever you dont trust the stock boost guage for any amount of money. A lot of people new to the turbo scene can get caught very easy with this.
  24. Yeah i hear what ya saying but this is a budget SD job and the Stinger was the only stuff (or Jaycar) i could get my hands on locally so i didn't have to pay to get it from the mainland and pay shipping. I got two complete rolls (that came in the box) and another one that has about half left on it for the 2 front doors. I dont mind that its not going to be a competition winning system as its not designed for that, and the way i figure it, having something on there is better than nothing. Maybe next time i will use G-Spot or Dynamate when i have more money to spend on the stereo :headspin:
