The GTR cooler is where the original intercooler is normally situated. It has been modified slightly to fit. I will be buying a new FMIC when i can find either a kit or a good price on the cooler and piping. So if you have the heads up then let me know. WazR32GTSt i have bought the car as is from Japan, so all work done was buy the previous owner/s from over there. Im trying to get some info on everything on/in the car so when it comes time to tune and dyno then it will make life a little easier.

All the gauges that came with the car dont work. As i have only had the car for a couple of days im slowly working everything out. As for slapping cash at other mods, the car came like imported from Japan. The only money i have spent is purchasing the car and importing it. As for smart arsed remarks like that, keep them out of my posts. You got something like that to say, PM me. For any other advice/comments or questions then post away.

Yeah tell me about it. As i only really just picked the car up (after importing it from Japan) it appeared to be running high boost. As the boost gauge didn't work (split line from the joiner under the hood) i didn't know what it was running althought figured it around 12-13psi, but after hooking up my tuner's boost gauge it was actually boosting at slightly just over 1.5bar. Yeah i got one of the original TD-06 high mount set up's with extra injector. (can see in pics) My tuner recon's 240rwkw's should be pretty easy once we know what the car is doing.

Sorry guys was in a bit of a rush when i posted this yesterday. Realised i had posted it in the wrong section and then reposted it in here. Just realised though that i cut over half the original post off. Hope this helps to clear it up a little now. Car mods as follows: TD-06 turbo with external waste gate (50MM i believe) bigger injectors (with extra injector for high boost) GReddy injector equaliser control (is what i've been told it is) aftermarket ECU electronic boost controller upgraded fuel pump and swirl pot adjustable fuel regulator Z32 AFM GReddy BOV (currently venting to atmosphere GTR intercooler (replacing stock intercooler) want a FMIC 3' dump from the turbo into rear muffler which is standard at the moment, with extractors. GTR rotors and calipers (is what i've been told) irridium plugs and upgraded ignition coils rods and pistons have been done as well as bearings (is what i was told) set of race springs and HKS front and rear strut brace. Apexi air intake with modded CAI /Heat shielding (thanks to SAU thread) button racing clutch and locked diff (want to change diff) Have not dyno'd the car yet as im still getting it on the road and everything sorted out. When i do i'll let you know how it goes. Talking to the tuner yesterday and he said if didn't have a couple of hundred kilowats after driving it he said he would eat his hat Can not wait to get it on the road although i have been re thinking it as a daily driver now!!!

I was waiting for this to come up. Thought it would of been a hot topic by now. I can't really see it doing anythign except raising revenue again with speeding fines from everyone. As for the proposed limits i really can't believe that it can go ahead with something so stupid. Its not the limits that the need to look at in all honesty. I know that speed has an influence on most accidents these days but when you look at what the person is driving/riding and the power and experience of a machine capable of what they are these days say's a lot to me. Maybe think of bringing in power to wait laws like other states for bikes and have a limit to the capacity and power that a leaner (L & P drivers) and a set age inforced as well. Like sav man said, make driving courses compulsory for people to do and that way then most people will at least ahve the basics down for defence driving. Just my 2cents but i can't see the drop in spped doing anything other than making the government money

My question are: other people with similar mods just wondering what kinda or power your putting out and how have you got the car tuned? What is it like on fuel? ( as this is my daily driver) Any tips on suspension set up and what tyres are people running? I have other questions but iahve been told that i dribble on so dont want to get anyone's back up at all. Cheers GMB

As mentioned above i cut over half the post off after realising it was in the wrong section. Sorry to dribble BHDave, wont let it happen again :cuddle:

Hey guys just bought my R32 from Japan. Car mods as follows: TD-06 turbo with external waste gate (50MM i believe) bigger injectors (with extra injector for high boost) GReddy injector equaliser control (is what i've been told it is) aftermarket ECU electronic boost controller upgraded fuel pump and swirl pot adjustable fuel regulator GTR intercooler (replacing stock intercooler) want a FMIC 3' dump from the turbo into rear muffler which is standard at the moment, with extractors. Ok so im looking into getting some gear for the R32 over the next couple of months and just wondering whats everyone running and where/who they got it from? Im looking at upgrading: FMIC tyres gauges (boost, oil pressure and temp) exhaust (turbo back) diff (as i currently have a locker) brake upgrade (thinking the DBA 5000 series) driving lights halogen globes (white light) upgrade but not HID as it costs 2 much. and a few other bits and pieces. The sky is blue because The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air. However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue. Hope that helps clear it up for you BADHABIT??? :cuddle:

BWAHAHAHAHAH i had better not drive my car on the road then hey TimmyB... They might not like me ripping up the Brooker in the R32 on full boost the way that thing screams its head off. WHITER33GTS-T thats some pretty impressive figures you got there, what mods you got???

cat back exhausts for hcr32 and bnr32
grandmasterb replied to CerealKiller's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Any luck on the search so far CerealKiller??? Im in the market for a aftermarket exhaust for my R32 GTS-t as well. After getting some quotes today i can't believe what they want. I said to one guy after giving me his quote that i already owned the car and didn't want to buy it again :chairshot $3300 for an exhaust  "tell him he's dreaming" -
TRUST/GREDDY TD-05 Turbo.. any good??
grandmasterb replied to blackfink's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah dude if you can afford it go it. I have a GReddy TD-06 on my RB20 and this thing farking fly's. It was set at just ver 1.5 bar when i picked the car up the other day (only just imported it) and it was crazy they way it just lights up the rear wheels. Have since cut boost back to 1bar and is still fun to drive. Need a FMIC and an exhaust and i recon it will be good for over 200rwk's Im going for 240rwk's. -
compliance duration
grandmasterb replied to philta's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
My mates R32 took 4 hours to comply and have it registered on the road. He used the stock belts and anchor points and just had the engineer test and sign off on them. MUCH CHEAPER. Had to put an Unleaded only sticker on the inside of the petrol flap and a gromet in the firewall. Took the inspection papers down to the local DMV and $700 later walked out with is plates rego sticker. Now having said all this mine is taking a little longer as im also doing bodywork to the car to get it 100% road legal (and so it looks the goods) but after that is done then its about 2 hours that the engineer needs my car, checks it over, take it to get the RWC and then off to the DMV and register my bad boy. I dont know what its like with other states but down here if you have your car "booked in" somewhere that it needs to go while your getting it on the road then you dont need a day permit at all. I have just spent the last 2 day in my car with no plates or permit and i was pulled over once (he was letting me know that i my indicator wasn't working right) but nothign else was said. "Why dont you have any plates on the car son?" "Well officer i have just imported the car and im on my way to (insert place here) as part of my compliance to get it on the road." "oh ok no worries then, take it easy then as i hear those import cars can be a handfull" "Yep will do officer, thanks for the warning :werd: " -
Ok so i took the car for a run yesterday and thought it was off the show (not able to keep it straight and just lighting up the rears) anyway i dont have my boost gauge yet and wasn't 100% sure what it was running. Figured it to be around 12 -14psi so i borrowed Griffo's boost gauge and "BOY" was i off. The little old RB20 was boosting at slightly over 1.5 bar. So we turned the boost back to 1bar and is MUCH better, still very easy to loose the rear end from time to time, just have to moderate it with the right foot. Im going for 240rwk's once i get the FMIC on an exhaust but i think TimmyB can back me up on this as i think i have one of the toughest sounding cars getting around on Tassie roads Pics to come guys.
