  6. Well well well.. Got my car from streetmachines (DONT GO THERE (this has two meanings)) And get it serviced by Gavin Woods at Auto Tech down the coast. Top bloke.. Top company. The dealings with them that we've had have been excellent. Nothing what so ever to complain about. Prices are excellent and their work and customer services is brilliant. /plug
  7. I think you's two are talking about two different Dyno Days Cam is organising one in Toowoomba. Subzero hasn't followed up on their offer. And I think Cam was talking about SubZero turning up to the dyno day in toowoomba

  12. Well we have just taken the aftermarket one off because of a defect. But before that we had both aftermarket and standard on there working fine. Car was running fine. But this afternoon we will swap the pipe back over and see what happens. In the next few weeks we will be getting a decent plumbback put on and removing both of the ones on there now.
  13. Cost me nothing I didn't get a fine.. only the defect notice
  14. The people I work with... or the people I work for
  15. Hahah Thanks Christian Well andrew did them up so I might check them. The pipe we replaced it with looks smaller so this could damn well be the problem. I'll check it out. Thanks Evil-Christian

  18. How do I do that? Might just re attach the BOV for now and see if it fixes it. It's idling really rough too
  19. Nope.. I know where stop go and clutch is But I was looking out for cars and by the time I realised it was dropping.. it cut out. I wasn't expecting it to do it because it hasn't done it for ages. Kinda embarrasing too
  20. I know theres been a few threads lately about zorsts and them being too loud. Well heres an indication for you. Today at work I got mine checked. The requirements are rev car to cruising rpm (i did about 3 of them to see what it came up with) Then just let it rev at that for around 5 seconds. For an older car the limit is 96db for a new car is 91 db.. Don't ask me what the specifications on years are because I don't know. I think older than 9 years is classed as the older bracket.. ANYWAY. My zorst system is as follows. 3" turbo back with 4" tip and two resignators (they were on there when we got it) The results were as follows. (Could be lower because of the resinense(noise) of being in an undercover car park) 2500rpm == 76.5 db 3000rpm == 88 db 5000rpm == 96 db I was pretty happy with the results.. HINT: Apparently theres going to be a blitz on exhaust noise in Brisbane. The machine they use costs $18000!!!
  21. Well. I think I did the best thing I could have possibly done. I went to Darra and it was actually a Truck inspection site so they didn't really know what they were doing. SO... I handed him the slip... He said that I needed to take him for a drive around the block to check it. BUT there were two trucks in front of me and only 30 minutes till knock off time. So he took the defect slip.. Asked me to pop the bonnet. I think he tried to catch me out here saying that he didn't know where hte BOV's were.. could i show him.. So as the mechanic that I am.. I showed the inspector where the standard BOV is and showed him the one we took off sitting in the back seat. Then asked me to rev it. So I revved it to 3grand and then let of slowely so it didn't make a noise and thats it.. I drove away! And thats my exciting trip to DOT!
  22. Right.. well heres the thing. As some of you know I got defected for my "Turbo Whistle" (BOV) and I went to Queensland Transport today to get it checked. We took the Blitz off last night and replaced the intercooler pipe with another standard pipe. Driving to work this morning it cut out at a set of lights. AND NO I didn't stall it I was engine braking and the revs just dropped and dropped. By the time I realised I couldn't rev it. Then when I stopped at the next set of lights the revs flutuated (sp?) between 500rpm and 1000rpm like Up down up down up down until I revved it. Question is. Is this from removing the BOV or is it something else. We had this problem when we first got the car but fixing the wire from the speedo to computer and the speed sensor working stopped it? Is removing the BOV whats causing this? This is the only reason I can think of because it's all we touched. But I can't understand by just removing the BOV and having the standard one on it would do this?? Please help.
  23. Its already been sold Luke bought it. Sorry
  24. Nah I rang DOT and asked questions and she said I had to present the car to either Zillmere, Bundall or Darra I think I might choose darra..
