Well... as of last night I think the problem is worse than first thought... with the clutch anyway. The gearbox seems to be behaving itself now. The clutch on the other hand isn't. Last night while just accellerating in 4th on the highway to get to the speed limit the car went a bit funny like revving and not going anywhere... Then got onto the main road and accellorated again not thinking of what happened before.. but it happened again. Do this mean my clutch is absolutely and utterly rooted?? And if so, should this problem be fixed sooner than we thought?

Well I've devided to just get one synchro fixed and get a brand new clutch. Easier that way. Little bit cheaper too.

We've got a superdragger on our GTS-t with two resignators.. and you woldn't eve know that you've got such a huge exhaust on it. It's not loud and it doesn't sound like a bumble bee... The tough pops out of it are pretty cool but.

I think all R33's are meant to do that. Well mine does and every other one i've seen does. Unless all of ours are broken... But yes. I pretty damned sure that they are meant to do that.

Well.... I'm sure Farmer Joe (mAJ0RDude) knows a far bit about this engine... But he actually bought it like that. He didn't do it himself. Althouhg, as far as I'm aware, I think hes changing the engine into something else when he gets the time and money.

I got the final quote today and I'm not too impressed I think there is only going to be one synchro changed and thats it. I can't afford the money they are talking!

I agree.. I was looking at it today thinking ... WOW... i like a ford I've always been a holden girl (yes a bogan) but when i saw that I actually quite liked it. Except for the price tag. Young people who are the "target" range for these cars can't afford a price tag like that.. Maybe its a good thing??

Gavin is at labrador down the coast.. I've referred a few people there and all have had nothing but praise for him.. I should start charging commission. Even though its about a 30-40 minute drive... its the best customer service we've ever had. I can't say one bad thing about it. Except I dont get discounts for sending so many people his way :lol:

Get a HICAS compatible BOSS kit and put that on. The standard steering wheel has hicas sensors in it... which the aftermarket steering wheel doesn't have.

Well.. after speaking to the mechanic today it looks like I'm in for a gearbox rebuild. AND as I'm as mechanical as a potatoe and so is andrew... hes maybe as mechanical as a spud. We are going to send it to Gavin Woods (our trusty mechanic ) He quoted me today that it would cost around $1100 to get all the synchros changed in the gearbox and $600 to get the clutch "upgraded" as I spoke about in my first post. Is this alot?? I wouldn't have a clue. I wasn't expecting it to be this much but oh well... thems the brakes! Sooo.. anyone wanna donate some money to the "Help Erin fix her car" fund?? :uh-huh: Course you all do...
