Got a Mio168PLUS to get rid of which is identical to the Navman PiN. As pictured, got just about everything as the new one except 2 bits: * the boom thing that stuck onto the windscreen (that went walkabout..) * got a copy of Navman but that's not original (I am keeping the original that's why ) * It comes with a 32Mb SD card instead a 128Mb and you really need a 128Mb if you plan to store the entire Aust worth of maps in there.... It is currently loaded with Navman ST 2 with 2004/5 maps rather than the latest ST 3 and the current maps. Good enough I suppose. Asking $350 firm. Reason for sale: I don't get lost often enough to justify keeping it and need the moolah to install a few things onto my car. Paid helluva lot more than $350 when I got it.. This thing can double up as a PocketPC PDA, that's what the TomTom can't do. Oh got a screen protector on it and it comes in its original box as well. Pics as attached. If they're out there to scam, no matter how difficult these new rules gonna be they will still do it. It only filters out the some of those after a quick buck but the ones that are more patient will still be able to scam. Afterall, what's so hard to post a 100 posts if they know a bit about the Skylines in general or they could keep starting n00b threads asking questions? I agree with the stat dec that could be forged. There's nothing really fool proof, that's the problem. As to who keeps all the stat dec? PranK possibly or another mod?

Husnu's idea is working except the cops bit. Every seller will need to get a stat dec and get someone to sign it ie aussie post staff or whatever..except I don't want to imagine how much paperwork someone will end up with and filing them.

False declaration saying it's a gift is an offense. Where in the law book and how, not sure but I've been assured by a number of Customs officers that it is. Better be safe than sorry. I've bought things from Greenline and they refused to mark it as a gift for this reason and it's easily understood I suppose.

E-mailed Garrett and took them 10 days for a reply but at least they said ATP is one of their resellers. Any thoughts on these turbo? Some of their combination sounds like a missile in a RB26.

Well if Customs won't release the car then what can you do? Export or destroy or, whichever cost less I suppose. I know a guy personally that forged a couple of de-gas and got away with it, I suppose if DEH is cracking down on this and demands to inspect his cars, he'll probably flip with a huge fine and for defrauding the Commonwealth with the fake cert's. Then I asked them what if they don't like the certificate being provided? It has happened once to me already and they couldn't answer. Now I can tell you it's gonna become a bit of a lottery.

If the users gonna be this naive then no matter what sort of safety implementation will save them from being ripped off. Just got a phone call from them today (to chase me up for a few piece of paper) and they've mentioned a few things what they will do in the future. 1) No more undertakings will be issued "eventually" meaning any cars that got in and haven't got the work done properly will need to be destroyed or exported. 2) Cars that have already arrived and cleared out will have random inspection done to see if the work is done as it's suppose to be. How that's gonna work, I don't know but if a Govt Dept tries to do something, I am sure they will have the time and resources to locate these cars. Not meant to scare anyone but I thought just a courtesy to let you all know :cooldance:

Sounds like Captain Obvious but...is it possible to make it compulsory that if the user has less than x amount of Trader Rating, COD is compulsory? I know COD isn't fool proof but with Quoc, all the guys requested for COD saved their butt. All I am thinking is, it's a lot harder to pull some sort of scam when you gotta send it COD. More evidence for them to get roasted and meet Big Bubba.

What happened in the last few weeks, we grabbed a personal loan to bring the Stagea over while waiting for the Skyline to sell. Not the best option IMO but it's the only one left besides someone buying the 'line.
