    Autech And Rb26

This is what I understand: The rear axle (since the front end is essentially a R33 GTR) might snap There are structural reinforcement with the Autech's So... What axles are the Autech running? I am guessing it's GTR ones as well and what are the structural reinforcement to be exact? Just couple of braces here and there or are there additional welds to the chassis/body? My plan is, bring a Stagea in and comply it then slap all the parts over from that wreck including the manual box then engineer it. If the 'ordinary' Stagea is too soft (in terms of suspension/chassis strength) then I'll scrap this idea and forget it...lol. Thanks for the information so far
  3. Bought the unit overseas but had receipts and no warranty obviously. The unit itself is in fairly good nick, just a light scratch on the back of it. In regards to the map, I think it is around $170 from Navman. Located in Sydney.

    Autech And Rb26

Thanks Terminal. Looks like slotting in a RB26 isnt as easy as I thought..
  5. Howdy guys, /yeah I've searched for the answer but nothing useful or related popped up.. What's the difference between the Autech version and the ordinary Stagea's besides the obvious? What I mean is, was there any mechanical or structural differences between the two? How different is the engine wiring between the? Also, will the brakes (I mean the rotors and calipers together) from a R33 GTR bolt straight on for both front and rear? Is the exhaust off a Stagea anywhere close to what a R33 Skyline might be? Yeah mate got a smashed up GTR being pulled apart at the moment and thought maybe it is a feasible conversion. If not then no worries. Thanks ^_^
  6. See update on 1st page. May consider swapsie + cash.
  7. Thanks for the heads up mad34. Buyers: please be aware this will not work with a R34. All PM's will be replied as soon as I get the pics ready tonight.
  8. Item: Nismo blank key..you know, the one that cost 3-4k yen that is blank and needs to be machined for your individual car. It was bought for a R33 but according to the part number, it should fit other including R32 and R34's. Location: Sydney Item Condition: Brand new unusued in its own paper box. Reason for Selling: No need for it. Price and Payment Conditions: $45 or near offer. Pickup preferred or COD at your cost. Extra Info: PM me for pics. Contact Details: PM me thanks.
  9. I think most of you guys have took my words out of context. All I was trying to question is can't the buyers be a bit more careful? I know sometimes theres wool in front of your eyes when you wanted something badly, maybe it's cool to stand back a bit to think things thru. This is probably what it shouldve read: "Granted, they should take care." (thanks teejay) Did the buyers taken much care? Surely digging up some of his post might revealed what kind of character theyre dealing with. One thing I do believe is, majority of people on SAU are honest blokes. Like that one time when I've sold something via COD, I have farked up the COD form and the guy actually got the part for peanut as I forgot to put down how much to remit back to the seller. I didn't realised that until weeks later so I contacted the guy and told him the situation, within half an hour I got screen capture of the bank transfer. 2 days later the money is there. I don't think anyone sure is this guy actually is Alex. One thing I am certain he is the pump_king aka Martin as he PM'ed me over something and the e-mail address he gave me is exactly the same as Cefiro_PWA's bank account name. On the other hand, Alex is known to buy cars from time to time for resale (so he dont deal with J-Spec anymore?) He PM'ed me wondering do I have cars or parts to sell....and that's typically Alex's behaviour I gathered. Why isn't he busted by now? Maybe his parents is a bit like Quoc's by paying the victims back to keep things quiet?
  10. Sorry for going off-topic but mods feel free to kill this. Maybe the buyers should cop some of the blame as well when that farker was selling "Walbro" for $145 but it's about $30-40 (20-30%) more from some reputable place. I too have done a search and doesnt looks like he even posted any pics. No pics is a bad sign IMO...
  11. No wonder his phone number looks familiar...I almost got burnt by Alex elsewhere. FYI: he's been flogging those pumps on Fast Forums ages ago under the name "milk" but no one complained about it. He also used to sell fake Diesel jeans and some hippy caps too.
  12. Cheap ECU upgrade: http://www.mth-powerchip.de/ Get the cable, pay for the software then copy your existing DME map then send it to the guy named Franz. Tell him what it's got etc then he will send you a new map for you to upload. All up, $200. There's quite a few different intakes available but the Gruppe M probably looks the slickest. Hope this helps.
  13. Pretty sure K750i has been released. My mate just got his gf one 2 days ago but that's Sydney not Perth.
  14. I suggested something like Shan's idea in another thread but I was grilled by another member...it works but that means the mods will have tonnes of work on their shoulders.
  15. Higher octane but lower energy output per (something unit..I failed chemistry) Correct me if I am wrong, just having a stab at the question.
  16. I think a better question to ask is..what's so bad about them and how come (generally) people are so scared of the word rotors?
  17. Have anyone actually got a Skyline running on gas? I'd be keen to find out also...
  18. You know what I said to ya...ha ha ha. I think mentioning the S8 to you over the weekend was a bad move You've heard my bitching about getting rid of the whale GTR last year and bought my current car....hopefully you won't be doing the same thing! ie bitching moaning and whinging when the S8 is parked on the driveway.
  19. I suppose it's a risk some of us might have to accept when we bought our Skylines. With better security, sure it's harder for them to steal but it doesn't make it 100% safe.
  20. I am still scratching my head - how can these things fix up a behavioural problem? Even driver training isn't going to fix it either, merely reducing the amount some of them might hurt themselves. Kids will always be kids..
