  1. Why have you gone the S13 crossmember? Is it to make thw whole thing easier or will the bluebird crossmember just not work? What about changes in trackwidth? I thought this setup increases trackwidth Car looks awesome I'm looking forward to seeing finished car. Cheers
  2. Can we see pics please? Have you driven the car with the steering conversion yet?
  3. K-Mac and Noltec both do adjustable strut tops for R30 http://www.noltecsuspension.com/files/cata...20Catalogue.pdf http://www.k-mac.com/
  4. I really like my DR30 & MR30, so if it can be done I want to do it. What has made the whole thing so difficult? Is it one thing in particular or is the whole thing just a bastard from start to finish. did you end up using the bluebird cross member and S13 control arms and did they need to be modified extensively to make the whole system work/fit? Have you done the whole thing yourself or did you get a workshop to do it? Cheers
  5. Hey, has anyone used these http://www.k-mac.com/imwinds/asmbly.htm to rear control arm adjustment. Would like to know how they perform on the road. Has anyone done the rack and pinion converion yet?? If so how did it go? problems?, comments? Cheers
  6. Dont forget that R31 have a steering rack and R30 still use old steering box. If you are going to use R31 control arms you might as well get the whole engine crossmember changed and use the rack steering system, so all the steering geometry works, added bonus is you get rind for that crap free play on MR30 steering and get much better steering feel. OR, DR30 (maybe MR30 as well) struts, they have the same 100mm caliper spacing, so most good brakeplaces could adapt something to fit for you. OR, use DR30 front brakes. I heard they fit straight on and should be plenty for your current power levels with some good brake pads. Cheers
  7. Please answer above question Cheers
  8. Are the Kaaz 1.5 available to fit an old long nose R200 diff (DR30, HR31) Cheers
  9. If you do the rack and pinion conversion using a bluebird crossmember and S13 control arms and S13 tie rods, then wouldn't be a good thing to use S13 hubs and coilovers geometry wise? Josh, is the rack and pinion conversion finished and on the road?? How did you sort out steering linkage? Any comments, problems? Also, I just spoke to Barry at Datsport. If we can get 20 people interested (including bluebird guys) they said he can make a adjustable rear crossmember to suit DR30. Cheers
  10. I would have to agree "SKY" on any other car is waste, and if you got SKY031 as a R31 driver than you are a lucky bastard. Hey my last set of plates said "ROK" and they now say "SPY" so I'm happy. What I talking is number plates for sale in the trading post for like 2 grand and someone actually buys them. It just seems like a expensive way to get attention. Cheers
  11. Thank you, someone that thinks with there brain, and doesn't need to do things to draw attention to themselves. Sorry, but every time I see number plate like this I think "wanker" wasting money (although I've heard it not much to get them made) just for show. This is just my opinion, and is not a insult directed at anyone. A reckon worry about getting your car working and driving the way it should and less about what other people think. Although I like Ghostriders suggestions. Make a great gift for Grandma this Christmas.
  12. Disco, your no fun!! (However you do have a point) But can you honestly say you would not enjoy driving a DR30 with a FJ24, not even of a second?
  13. Will somebody else please buy this before I do and run out of money for all the stuff that doesn't matter (you know food, shelter, medical care etc. All that crap that doesn't matter if you have a FJ24 Turbo baby!!! ) http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k23518568 Google translator here (not that it actually makes any sense) http://www.google.com.au/language_tools?hl=en I can not get the translated link to paste so tough. You got to buy, buy, buy!!! Cheers
  14. Hey, where are you located? I need left and right front control arms and front hubs (as long as they are in good nick not bent/cracked). Cheers EDIT: Sorry, just reread post. Ivanhoe!! I grow up in Ivanhoe, went to Ivanhoe East primary, lived on the Boulevard (with the Christmas light, oh my God if you were over 12 years old it sucked to bad. Bing Crosby singing white f@$#ing Christmas till 2 in the morning!!!!)
  15. Any to fit DR30 skyline (1983) Cheers

  18. Anything for S13? looking good set for conversion into DR30. Been quoted $1499.00 for a set of HD systems HR type. Can you beat that? Cheers
  19. Ghost rider, I have a adjustable frount strut brace (cusco I think) in my DR but is only 2 bolt per strut top. Don't know if this is what you are looking for. Cheers
  20. Anyone know a good place in Melbourne to get compliance on a 15 year old import (1983 DR30). Somewhere with resonable prices would be good. Cheers P.S. Anyone else in Vic with a DR30? Cheers
  21. Yeah, I have my DR painted in metalic midnight purple, similar to the GTR purple. I looks so good. Hey Josh have you got any further with your rack and pinion conversion?
  22. Anyone know a good place for DR30 compliance in Melbourne? Been quoted $1500.00 Cheers
  23. Yeah Cheers Man, I thought that picture looked a little strange seeing that people said R30 & R31 had similar crossmembers. I got the picture from the Jap ebay pages that RSX84 put up (Cheers for that). It was just the first pic I could find that said R31 and looked like to crossmember. Cheers for the proper pic. OHR-30T, as you have owned both (haven't you?), how similar are R31 and R30 crossmembers?
  24. Which model Bluey, local?, what year? What mods are needed to fit in DR, is it just engine mounts? The car is about to go to the workshop and I really want to get this all worked out so the whole job is as hassel free as possible. Cheers
