  10. hmmm im all out of ideas... id say then have a look at the controller, i mean does it spike up to 14psi? or does it get there easy then just drop? how fast does it drop?
  11. yeh but wat did they check wen they say "boost leak check"?? i mean its easy to miss something... doesit sound like it has an exhaust leak? maybe turbo gasket (between exhaust manifold and turbo)?
  12. also check ur intercooler hoses, i once had a cracked (not visible) cooler hose, the ones going into the end tanks that stopped my car from holding boost coz it wud split slightly on high boost. other then that u said u have changed plenum seals etc... i dunno maybe turbo or actuator
  13. are u sure the actuators are all working fine? no leaking while on high boost?
  14. thats really annoying... what are u plugs gapped to? u shud have them on at least 0.8 maybe 0.65 other then that id look at the boost controller

My cousin used to race in the TOCA touring cars (forget the name in aus, it changed a few times) back in 1999 (when jim richards used to race the volvo), i was apart of his team, and man the parts were expensive, i can only imagine wat the V8SC teams pay for a weekend. I mean they eat up so many tyres and the tyres alone arent cheap. to be honest i really think if u put it on the track again today it will beat its old time maybe not by much but i think it will by at least 1/2 a second. If winterbottom is good throw him in the gtr see wat time he punches out lol

  18. hehehe this is such a hot topic at the moment... Guys here is wat i think, firstly u cannot compare a 16 year old car to a 2007 race spec V8SC. i mean thats plain old ridiculous. The r32 GTR back in 1991 pumped out a massive 625HP which is a fair bit of grunt for a car back then. I mean if you were to compare a track R34GTR with similar restrictions to a V8 supercar and say make it rear wheel drive then this wud be fair grounds to go on. I mean the only way to compare 2 cars like this is to implement the same restrictions on both cars. Theres no point comparing a motorbike to a car true?? well the GTR was turbo'd, 4WD this alone already seperates the 2 types of cars. Its true the current V8's have big $$$ spent on them, and in my opinion they are pretty crap for that kind of money. But to be honest wen restrictions are in place and control tyres, suspension, engine specs are in place, then u can only do so much to a car to improve times. I mean if u were to throw the old 32gtr back on the mountain, with the exact trim it had back in the 90's then i can pretty much assure u that skaife and richards will run at least 1-2 seconds quicker then they did back then. The main reason wud be the surface on the track and pure driver experience. Not to mention fuel quality etc...

  23. thansk rich.... let me know if u find yeh i was thinking the same, but like i have said it wasnt driven. i mean it got washed on saturday, and all nuts were there, then monday i noticed it, and didnt drive the car since the saturday
  24. it wasnt loose, i checked them after i bought the car, so they were all tight, plus like i said i didnt drive the car for 3 days and it went missing before i drove it again.... anyways im over it so pissed off but need to just replace it
