Well, if thats a good buy (not imo) then Mikes S2 is the bargain of the year. I wouldnt pay 12k for 155000kms S1 that needs alterations to get thru complaince.

Most of it is still dirt. Back of States Rd etc and top of Upper Penneys Hill Rd. Yeah, back then as a 16yr old I used to do silly things on that road (where my oldies live) in my awesome 1960's VW Type 3 wagon (gripped sensationally - thank god!) and then my 1.6L Celica '77 mustang hatch. Stupid me. Since me wake up call in front of the Judge, I dont believe Ive ever done anything silly in a car on a road again. I owned a 5Ltr VR SS and not ONCE did I ever do a burnout. True. I grew up. The bike is a different story - but Im thru with riding, wont ever ride again, and now need to sell my bike soon. Anyone know anyone looking for a hi-po sports bike for under 11g's?

R33 Series 2 Parts For Sale
Tangles replied to Tangles's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Duno - have to check Anyways - how about $30 plus postage for either a Cat-converter or the intercooler, both R33 standard. -
OK Im going to base it on the R33 airbox, and get a snorkel made up to suit that. ie itd have the same funnel opening into the airbox, but the funnel opening at the front of the car on topof the engine bay will be HUGE. Might look silly, but it'll surely get some air. With the template one, I'll have to bend it or something to make it fit the stagea (due to maxx's cai unit being at a slightly different angle compared to normal. But thats all good. From then, I might offer a group buy or something on them? Only drawing board stage but Im sure 100 SAU forum users out there with standard airbox's might want a 'ss induction' type snorkel air feed.
-
With the current $150 price for 98ron fuel Im totally over petrol usage. ie it doesnt matter, either way I'll be reamed when I fill it up.
-
Ok. Got Maxx's CAI box unit, very well made so can see where the $$ went. Side part fits up with a slight bend to one fixing tab. But the lid definately wont fit, looks like I have to cut about a thrid of the lid away to make it fit snugly, that includes part of the perspex cover. Also, due to the angle of the box in the Stagea the snorkel air feed now wont fit. So, Im going to talk to a local sau member about making up One MASSIVE BIGARSED air feed, ie like the standard snorkel, in metal with the correct angle I need to fit, but big like a SS Inductions / HSV aftermarket air feed. So it'll be sit in front of the engine bay like one of those Falcadore aftermarket units. Will update with photos once the lid is cut back and the big snorkel air feed is made up. Brendan

I was on Ps back in 1995 and was followed by a car thru back dirt roads at 1am in the morning, car had high beams on right up my arse - scary shit, I thought they wanted to mug me for my oldies car. Real scary. At the time had no idea it was Police. Anyways, lost em (knew the roads lol) on Piggot Range Rd but 5 cars / 8 cops caught me on States Rd. Frisked, searched, almost gang-raped lol. Refused to sign the black book as the cop was scotish anc I couldnt understand a word he said, made me seem like a real wankewr so I refused to sign the book. They were ropeable (senior scottish fella and brand new young fella, wankers). Got done for dangerous driving, driving with undue car, speeding 90 in 60 zone. I talked to the prosecuter and had a big meeting with him, he threw out the speeding charge (no evidence) but went ahead with the dangerous / undue care charges. I took photos of the dirt road which showed everyone drove in the centre of the road due to slippery gravel and overhanging trees. Got thrown out of court. Prosecuter was pissed, made a rant and rave act in front of the judge, he got held for contempt of court LOL. Judge told me to leave then gave the prosecuter an earful. LOL. Funny. Everyone in Christies Beach courthouse looked at me in wonder / awe. I reckon after that everyone was a winner. Previously, Id been done on Ps coming down Willunga Hill at 144 in 100zone, stupid me had my VW in neutral and didnt realize my speed. Lost 3 points as I went to court to say I needed car for work (with letter as advised) and with bus route maps. Lived in the hills at the time so I had no buses and no way to work. Fined $100 court costs plus speeding fine of ~$300 back then, 1 point left on Ps, and an extra 12months on Ps. Go to court, state the facts, dress well, be polite, pleed your case - you'll be ok. I hope. Depends on the judge I guess. Obviously we dont condone illegal activities on SAU forum but as we all know, mistakes happen. Be honest, be upfront and cop the punishment on the chin. My guess - 12months extra on Ps, 3 points lost, $$ fine. It was a school zone, so they will come down on you. Good luck.

Anyone Have A Rb25 Highflow From "sliding Performance"?
Tangles replied to joe2548's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That info is appreciated, cheers Slide. Man now Im really thinking about buying one. I dunno tho, money is too damn tight thesedays, and I dont have any of it anyways. -
Thanks Lucas, yeah sounds like thats probably the go. I guess I'll contact some engineering firms down south and see what can be done. If I could kneel then Id take out the drivers seat and start measurements, etc, and go from there. As it is thats impossible for me, so I'll measure up my wifes seating position vs the very forward position, get the difference in length, and then go to an engineering firm and say "alter either the seat bolts or the seat rail by xcm" Ta for your valuable input. Need some $$ now. LOL

Tangles replied to joe2548's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for the input Gary, thats pretty cool info. Yeah, I guessed it must have been in Drive (auto) or 2nd (wrong! if manual) and just idling on a dyno to read a power figure from idle. never thought that youd have an increase in power at idle! lol -

If You Could Pick Any.....which Would U Pick?
Tangles replied to R34NRG's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Maybe, but each to their own. Im a ebay type and it hasnt done me any harm up to this point. Check out my bike link below, mostly ebay, totally high-performance. Anyday of the week Id rather spend say $900 on a full exhaust system that Ive customised, then $1200 on a cat-back only system. JustJap stainless steel dump pipe ~$250, 3.5inch catconverter ~$250, mandrel bent acms exhaust ~$500. easy. High performance, good power upgrade, better then brand name cat-back IMO. At the end of the day, if the 'noname' exhaust is too loud then add a resonator, or if its too quiet then change the muffler. All depends on your wallet really. Tell the noname exhaust shop what ya want with the mandrel bent cat-back system and go from there. -
Not at all! Yeah, Ive always done everything to my own brakes (on cars and bikes) EXCEPT bleed them as Ive always been iffy about getting it wrong. Cheers for the links - ebay, I should have known!

No problems the info was all there, he said he was buying one, then he said it was on and he was happy...... =) I mean, not being rude, but why ask if its in when it can easily be read? and then be sarcastic when I point that out to you? geez -

BS My exhaust is a noname as described above. All 3inch diameter, stainless steel dump pipe and cat converter, and a ACMS noname catback system with no resonator and a just a big muffler. My exhaust is EXTREMELY QUIET. Just how I like it. No droning, no backfires, no loudness, just nice, just right imo. Cost me bugger all too. If I wanted it to be louder Id take off the big muffler and put on a canon free-flowing muffler, would be loud then. From what I can tell anjo0 wants loudness anyway. He wants loud induction noise from the pod filter and a loud exhaust (from what I can tell). Or am I incorrect? -
