hi. Ive just installed R32 GTR Sutimoto front brake calipers onto my Stagea replaces 2-pot single sided stock calipers. Ive connected the line up to the R32 GTR calipers, all good there. No leaks (now). There is a loud metalic rub noise 0-10kmph. The pads are brand new A1RM trackpads, against slotted rotors I had to bend the ends of the dust guard to fit the longer calipers in - should I simply cut it out? Goes 3/4 around the rotor I cant think what else would be making contact against the rotor Car is out atm, wife needed to babysit & my mate had already borrowed her car. So Im a little worried that its been driven (5kms) without me knowing whats making contact (somewhere) on the rotors. either pads are damned noisey at low kms, or dust guards somehow touch somewhere thoughts? cheers

I'll be leaving my place around 6.30 to be at mallala for 8 just need to check the front brakes again, perhaps cut away the brake dust guard (as something is noisy at low speed) must test tomorrow - knackered atm. no knees makes it SO hard

5stud, 2-pot single-sided fronts, 1-pot rear's fixed a leak at the caliper (thru the bloody thing, nuts that keep the caliper together wernt tight enough) the dust guard seems to be making some noise, something....... unless it's the pads against the rotors

cheers, discs are all good, got spares. put the r32 gtr calipers fron the sedan onto the stagea just now. probably sell the stagea calipers and grab some r32's to replace the track cars so, the stag has 4-pots now and new a1rm track pads, got a spare set too. going to test drive now and bedin. penrite sin 600 brake fluid

mine are like that have to use a multigripper unit to grab them, one of the real good ones that claim to grip anything. in fact, Im going to try to take the front r32 gtst rotors/calipers/a1rm pads and braided lines OFF again, same with stagea, and install the r32 gtst fronts to the stagea I do NOT want to run bendix pads with 2-pots at the track. 40mins = no pads. just that I AM a neanderthal with no knees

$50 for 3-days gets you an unregistered vehicle permit, so can be driven. would require an ID check, such as at the Lonsdale depot near the rspca, to confirm vin/engine # they signoff on it, you then register and get plates pretty easy painless process

yes from me, although it isnt important for a good day out dont you lose $$ on it mate

yeh Id like to, all in good time. it'd be good to DIY but Im not sure Id be able to, bodywise..... what would happen is this: r32 engine/trans out, seperate, sell trans, sell tein suspension, sell sedan shell, build up rb26, when ready build up stagea trans, then rb25 engine out / rb26 forgie in. split rb25 engine out to maximise $ return. injectors, computers, ported head with cams, turbo, bottom end, mags etc.....

yeh, the gearboxes would need to be out as well. stagea box to get strengthened and the r32 manual to sell. later down the track tho..... stagea can wait 'till the rb26 is out and built. as for parts, I arranged thru ebay tbh, once I bought the halfcage for $200 I was told shipping was $300 for a pallet & a container space. so to make it worth it I added in a bride seat and rail for $200, some electronics, grex n1 "street special" camshafts for $250, and some $40 mags $40 ^ can add to it from some lengths Ive got out of the $5 rollcage

awesome luke Ive got my shipping docket, 2may the boat comes in from japan with my wheels, cage, chair, brace, electronics & camshafts. Tomorrow I should receive my hks 87mm pistons, h-beam rods, ati balancer, hks step-2 cam springs, hks oil pump, greddy cam cover, apexi multichecker & acl bearings How much should I budget for to remove an engine from the r32, remove engine from stagea, install rb26 into stagea? Doubt my knees / mobility would allow me to D.I.Y.

I guess it wont work because the power-fc doesnt have settings for Q45 under airflow * R32bnr * R33bnr * Apexi super suction * RB25 * VG30 are the only airflow setting options. going to have to rebuy stocker afm's . . . . . grrrr Is it easy to reflash the firmware on r32/r33 gtr power-fc's?

ku36 are around $180 ea delivered from Option One garage, QLD, for 17x235's They are on my track car ready and unused, as are the A1RM track pads, however I wont be able to bring the track car out Will be in the stagea
