  2. how bout a nicely creased panel????
  3. a cheap way to increase swaybar stiffness is to get another stock one, 8 of those rubber mounts, 8 of those metal horseshoe mount holder things, 16 decent bolts cut the ends off the swaybar (ie the bolt up links) and put two mounts in teh middle, and one on each end match up the remaining 4 on the original swaybar, then bolt them together alternatively use 4 agricultural hose clamps (big strong ones) and clamp them together you will be suprised at the difference
  4. they were for the 400r i believe ask user [Michael] he just got one with a ej-1 and he's got contacts that might help

  8. fark that now you know why they call them crumple zones same with my car when front on - the bonnet just concertinaed whats the go with insurance???? i almost had that the other day with my excel you know albany h'way and nicholson road intersection - i was turning onto nicholson right (ie coming from carasoul), and traffic ala sudden stopped cause of lights, chick on P plates screeched to a halt about 10cm away from me - not once, but twice (traffic surged forward, then stopped again, and she nearly hit me twice) mind you, i wouldnt have really minded, my rear bumper is crap, and side panels are slightly dinged insurance would have been a bitch to follow up tho
  9. you take two pictures one with bonnet on and one with bonnet off using photoshop you 'cut' the bonnet area (can be a bit bigger as its all the same anyway) off the photo with it on, and transfer it to the pic with no bonnet as it is a different layer, you can use the eraser or blender tool to remove the bonnet layer and make it look like the bonnet has a hole in it tada....

  15. heck - for the drags take everything out your spare tyre, jack, winder, nut remover thingo, the carpet covers would equal about 20-30kg of weight plus then if you want to get really serious you could take out the rear seats and the passenger seat
  16. could ya rustle up some free passes kermit?
  17. good thinking cubes ohh - it seems an ecu reset or re-jetting seems to be the answer then often but surely there is a 'too big' size for an exhaust (pulse width and scavenging have an affect on power and too big would reduce that surely)

  22. out of curiosity then how do you explain a lose of power on a hyundai excel after a 4 inch CAT back exhaust was added ive seen the results(on the excel)- and had seat of the pants experience (on various other small engined cars) that have had big CAT backs put in place - and they suck big time have a read of some autospeed articles if you can get your hands on some www.autospeed.com.au they know what they are talking about theoretically (well, most of the time) and test it out too
  23. fark me attention to detail or what would be understandable if it was a show car but..... i do like the diamond cut on the lights tho - looks very cool
