  1. Why not do the job right and use the RB30DET piston from CP?Other RB pistons have the wrong pin height making them a very dodgy option.
  2. Steve Maitland from Maitland performance fabricators is the man for your job as his done many and his local and his work is proven in Wa rally and race cars.

Can compare both Turbos on the same dyno.TDO6 have trouble with their thrust washers also.About 6 weeks ago we did a GTS club car swap from TDO6 to GT30 as the TD06 was way to laggy.Was chalk and cheese being a much more competetive car now.We had the same power with both but vasty wider power band with the Garrett.

  6. PPL say to pull the oil pump and fit the JUN oil pump drive on?How can you do the machining needed with the crank in the car? Its an old girl so dont go for more power, stick with your idea of suspension, brakes etc.
  7. What year is your GTR,can check what we have but 32s have 2 different styles,Push or pull.
  8. More linear power curve. If the cam changes to soon you can loose power and torque,if you can changes at 4500 and it needs to be at 5500 for example then you are giving up max power for 1000rpm right in the guts of your curve. Do a power run with the vvt off then do one with it on from start to rev limit and its easy to see where to switch at.

  10. 5500 has been the lowest point with some as high as 6100. Im not talking small gains either,its real worth while.
  11. Ill print out some graphs with Garret GT turbos that show how good they really are during the week.
  12. I do this on every car i tune to find the best changeover points. Usually on at about 1400 and of again at about 5500. The car in the first post would be the boost stepping up.This detail should be on the dyno graph.Ask if the can see you what your boost was doing.
  13. I find the only cars that ask the question when driving the GTR is P plater VNs V6s.Why would anyone risk Hoon laws in such a miss match?
  14. I left at about 4 and there was a group of cars going nuts at the new housing area at pinjar-neves road so id say you can thank them or the cops turning up. Import laws are crazy now anyway,we had 2 EVOs fail pit inspections at the welshpool pits in 3 weeks for their stock bonnets,Cant have holes in your bonnet they said.Was up to us to prove these bonnets are factory.
  15. FUCHS 0-30 is hard to beat but dont come cheap.

  17. Ive found 10psi to be peak power from these turbos on the Dyno.

Ive done this.Keeping the sump strong enough to support the front diff takes a lot of work and planing,Aircon would be near impossible and finding room for the oil tank in a wagon would be intrusive. Bloody expencive but as the race car its all in cost about 15k to fix every time it destroyed its self it was worth it.Dont think it would be any real value in a street car as Trust sump extensions and your JUN pump are up to the job.The thing i like tho is being able to pump up full oil pressure on first startup and being able to adjust oil pressure in seconds.Next time the cars in ill give you a call so you can look if you want to copy it.BDG in perth have very nice pumps also.We won last sundays Autotrader cup at barbagallo last sunday with this car.

  20. Just fitted a HKS version same as Brads to a stock auto 2JZ and had a hard time keeping its power at a level the Auto could live with(mid400s was as low as it would go at gate value).Boost was in just under 4000rpm.RB30 twin cam would be much the same
  21. Damage control or Dalcos tho Dalcos are not to keen on rust repairs now.Damage control made 2 new rear guard. to clear the 10inch rims and theres no way anyone could pick they had been touched or fault the colour match.Anthony Arnold @ Damage control is the man.

  23. I just put 4 Rcomps on the GTR,The best mod ive ever done to it by far. What your going to do for traction with the high boost setting?Rcomps wont be enough.It will need slicks when you go to the plex.

  25. Late VVT 1JZs are CT26.Still think its to much stuffing around.
