  1. ^^ Mad082, if anymore progress has been made let me know. am very interested as your suggestion above would be better in alot of areas over a SAFC2 but more bang for buck than a R34 GT-t PFC. I have a SAFC2 but am yet to getting around to have it installed and i can't see me spending $1200+ on a apexi PFC. after re-reading that previous thread Nathan provided the main problem was copying the data off the NA ecu. geez, i hope someone has managed it. Reggie.
  2. i've got the same problem and it's really bugging me. i'm using IE7.
  3. castrol edge 5w30, as thats one of the weights listed in the manual.
  4. Hey Rianto got my rotors today. big thanks for your efforts in keep this GB going. +ve trader feedback left. Reggie.
  5. ah, good point Mark but surely Resh knows where he should be looking. I've had the adjustable Selby front and rear swaybars and whiteline pineapples in my car for over 12 months now (from memory) they joined the Aus-spec Tein SS's. I installed the rear bar and pineapples myself but had to take the front swaybar to a shop to put on. I couldn't believe how much the swaybars improved steering feel and stability but they also increased ride harshness. the front bar is on the softest setting and the rear bar is on medium (again from memory). the teins are also on their softest setting. i really can say, 'the car handles'. the amount of corner speed i can maintain is awesome and it always feels planted giving remarkable feedback. i remember a cruise i was on towards the end of last year up north of brisbane going through some good twisties to get to the final meeting spot I had a GT-t behind me which couldn't keep up although I'm unsure of the GT-t's level of mods and drivers experience. also as a reminder my car is a GT-V.
  6. no other reason than that. driver shouldn't be watching any movies/videos while a vehicle is in motion. you and your friend would've seen it if you read the manual for the dvd player. there'll be a warning in there. i get a similar warning msg when i turn my navman on. i have my handbrake wire connected to a switch. and to answer your question, no the handbrake light won't be on constantly, if you disconnect the dvd's handbrake wire from the handbrake itself.
  7. spotted a black 33 coupe towing a boat not long ago collingwood park, heading towards the plaza. first time i've seen a skyline coupe tow anything.
  8. you've had your exhaust on for a lil while now. just wondering if your new setup drones at 2500 rpm?
  9. the old hilux held up alright. not commenting on anything else as it will probably attract me a warning.
  10. guessing you didn't really look through many pages or search before asking your question the thread nathan mentioned is here - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ex...Na-t261791.html
  11. i seen a 370z coupe on the streets when i was in vegas last month. it didn't look to bad but the sound it produced wasn't what i expected. it sound alot more meaner and gruff than i thought it would. whether it had been modified or not, unsure. i only seen it driving up and down the vegas strip.
  12. what Nathan said +1 unfortunately NA Skylines weren't catered for much by the aftermarket in the exhaust department. A custom job is the simplest way to go.
  13. i'd be very surprised if someone else out there has added/done the exact mods you've listed. be a pioneer. do the mods and come back and tell us how much you gained.
  14. Gee Scott, thats very strange about the Splitfires. I have them also and am glad they've been good to me. I'm struggling to understand though why cold or operating temp idle rpm has any effect on overall fuel usage. the car is stationary at idle, yeah, not working/revving to propel the vehicle forwards. Ive been noting my fuel numbers since i've had my full exhaust installed and slight timing change. I'm still averaging 500-510K's when the fuel light comes on, still averaging over 620K's to a tank and my best out of a tank is 680K's. the reason i manage such no's is because my travels is 95% highway.
  15. i'm sorry but this would have to be the epitome of laziness. asking an internet forum such a question. whatever happened to lifting the bonnet and using a ruler or tape measure, taking a few measurements? ffs! or is that common sense?
  16. i highly recommend a double din 7in jobbie in short - what Rush said + 1
  17. bought a 1Tb seagate Sept last year and it died on me Nov-Dec last year. It was meant to be my backup drive. I lost everything. It's since been replaced but I havent installed the new drive yet as I'm afraid that it too will die and I'll lose more stuff. So I'll have to check it before using it.
  18. willl the 34 sedan be catered for as well or just the coupe? because i desperately need a new set.
  19. this is frustrating me but i've got to ask can't you afford to go to vic? or can't you be assed? it's a neighboring state if you've forgotten.
  20. that would be 'I'. can't remember seeing your car tho Kate.
  21. poor some old sump oil on your rear tyres but you probably don't even change your own oil right? got any more stupid questions?
  22. I weighed it up after looking at how much it would've cost to get one imported in from Import Monster and found that if I could win that auction for less than $800 excl. shipping then i would be infront over getting one in from Japan especially in this current economic climate.
  23. yeah John, new bar will be on before the wheels
  24. is there a press release or a link to a media site to back this up just a lil coz i'm finding it a bit hard to believe. don't get me wrong, it would be awesome, yes but atm it's just seems like a rumour on a car forum. am happy to be proved it is true.
