  1. Sorry - I must have missed that! I recommend just converting his current setup to flex, then spend the $$ on other areas to improve handling, braking and traction.
  2. Yeah, but these cars are doing it with ALOT more capacity and engines that don't require lots of RPM to make power/torque. Not to mention most factory cars making north of 300kW these days have a lot of technology that you simply don't have in an RB engine... Direct Injection, variable cam timing, variable geometry turbos, etc... You honestly cant really compare them.
  3. Have you thought that maybe some larger injectors, new fuel pump (walbro 400), Haltech + Flex sensors, fully flex tune might be all you really need? Run some E85 through your current setup with a good aftermarket ECU. Should be able to find some additional power and torque without loosing the drivability. Also gives you a better base for future mods. If you have any spare $$ after that you could always invest in a good LSD + MCA coilover... Maybe a brake upgrade (alpha/omega evo brembo upgrade)...
  4. I have some Cheap 285/35/18 Hankook RS-3 if interested?
  5. Although not true semi-slicks, I will be swapping my 265/35/18 AD08's for a set of 295/30/18 AD08R's. I haven't used the AD08R's, but apparently it is supposed to be a lot better then the older compound??? Anyone tried them?
  6. Looking forward to your results bro, also looking forward to hearing how you go with the new pads...Really looking forward to seeing that 1:06!!! Remember to not to go hard for a whole session. Do 2-3 quick laps at most and then cool it down. Your braking might last a bit longer! I think some more braking thermal capacity is needed!!!
  7. Who is flaming them? Department of Fair trading? Besides, what info do you need other then they have been convicted in a court for doing dodgy business? Regardless, I think that the fine they need to pay is pathetic. There should be higher fines for this type of deceit.
  8. I have heard that another dealer is about to be done....
  9. http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/ftw/About_us/News_and_events/Media_releases/2014_media_releases/20140625_burwood_car_dealership_convicted.page Department of fair trading DO NOT mess around.
  10. Said it a few times mate. Love your car. Nice stealth look to it bro!
  11. ^ Agreed. Although I would have thought Super 94 and EFR9180 would have been a closer match... Either way, BIG power setup! Looking forward to some more EFR results!
  12. Yes, it was a nugget. I can get a HTA3582R or GTX3582R to spool as fast as a T67 on my car... and it makes more power everywhere.. So I don't understand what fuss behind the T67? The compressor is cast (ie heavy), with aero designed 30 years ago and is only 60mm in / 78mm ex. That's a similar size to the GTX 76mm wheel which is a lot more efficient. The T67-25G might have been respectable 5-10 years ago, but it is simply old technology these days...
  13. Please, as soon as you go billet, you no-longer have a standard GReddy T67. I stand by my statement, in that the T67 is a slow spooling nugget. I have tried it with a number of different combos, and it just didn't work (cast Trust manifold, 8cm housing, Trust tubular manifold, 10cm housing). I was better off with a stock frame billet turbo. I think there are FAR better turbos out there these days. I would take something like a GTX3576, HTA3582R or even a PTE6262 over one anyway of the week. I don't BELIEVE it is a dog, I know, because I have used the darn thing.
  14. ^ TBH, stay away from the Greddy / Trust turbos. They are laggy by todays standards. Get yourself a pair of GTX2867R like Lithium suggested or a big single like a PTE6266, EFR8374, PTE6466 or even a EFR9180 (all in in twin scroll configuration for response)
  15. There are so much better turbos out there then the T67. That thing is OLD SCHOOL tech. 20-30 years old now. Much better options out there today. I had one on my evo about 3-4 years ago for about 2 months before I got rid of it for a HTA turbo. Picked up 30kW and about 700rpm in spool. T67 is a dog.
  16. ^ As above.. Also need to understand what your car is used for and what you expect out of it in regards to drivability. As much as I love twins, for big power like 500kw I would lean towards a big single like a PTE6466 or EFR9180. Whatever you do, stay away from the T67. That thing would be nearly 20-30 years old by now (technology wise)
  17. ^ Twin scroll? Didn't think Forced performance liked the twin-scroll housings?
  18. What HTA did you end up getting?
  19. Seriously love this car! Looking forward to joining you on track mate!
  20. Brakes....??? Less brakes, more boost!
  21. Dude, you did f**king awesome. Honestly. 1.07's is damn quick mate! You will be deep into the 1.06's in no time at all! I know you love it.....
  22. What? I thought Anti-Lag would be a good idea!
  23. Deffo gotta try to pick-up the throttle earlier. If that isn't possible due to car reaction to earlier throttle (oversteer or understeer), might be time to start thinking about a little bit of aero to keep corner speeds up a little more... a few more kph might make the difference!
