  1. Kinda unrelated, but what about a GTX3576R with Tial rear housing.. I recon that would be bad ass on a RB!
  2. I agree with most comments here in regards to the 'Andrew Brilliant Aero'. While obviously working, all his designs detract from the look of the car and the spirit of time attack IMO.

  4. Wow, awesome results! Thanks for sharing!! When you drive it, make sure to report back and let us all know how different if feels on the road.. should beat the crap out of the HTA for transient response.
  5. ^ Theoretically it would kill some transient response. But not sure. Maybe Geoff from Full-Race can chime in?
  6. ^ Time to change it out for some hard piping!

All exhaust work done by performance exhaust in Sydney $1300 (will do package deal for someone looking for a complete system designed for big power) one new in box, one used, Tomei cam gears $250 New rare/discontinued HKS 4.11 final drive $950 There will be more as I find it!!
  9. Highly recommend the HTA3076R from Forced Performance. More power, better transient response (thanks to billet compressor) and better boost threshold (thank again to billet compressor).
  10. There are so many people that prefer a setup 'that hits hard' rather then one that is linear in its delivery. This logic is beyond me... 9/10 on road, track and offroad smoother, more linear power delivery is not only faster, but is less likely to break things.
  11. May I suggest something else. Borg Warner EFR 7670 with Divided IWG T4 0.92 A/R turbine housing.. It will flow MUCH more then your 0.63 up top, while spooling faster. Will make the engine feel a lot more linear, not to mention the bearings/seals they use the CHRA are much, MUCH more suited to your application (off road). Will need a new manifold, but you wont need wastegates, so you can save some money there, not to mention less moving parts and things too go wrong off road. Can also have integrated wastegate which will improve response, and reduce plumbing, etc. IMO - there is no other turbo out there more suited to your application.
  12. T3 0.63A/R would be super choked up.
  13. ^ Further more... I wonder if the compressor wheels on the Airwerks line of BW turbos can be interchanged for the EFR compressors. EG - Purchasing a EFR8374, removing the 62/83mm compressor and replacing it with a BW 64.5/88mm compressor... The turbine side should be large enough to still power that size compressor??
  14. Also very interested in this. Also interested if BW are looking at a 64mm turbo to fit between their 8374 and 9180?
  15. ^ Agree with #@34GeeTeeTee in that the turbo is only one piece of the puzzle. And as #@Lithium said, it is a solid turbo, but IMO it might not be worth it with the 'HKS tax' these days... You might be happier with a more modern turbo setup, such as a HTA3076R (look at #@34GeeTeeTee setup) or even a EFR7670 with internal gate (personally I would LOVE to see this turbo on a unopened RB25!!)
  16. ^ That's quite a neat setup. Too bad it doesn't go back much further though.
  17. It will definitely be exciting this year, that's for sure. I'm not convinced that RWD will take the cake though. Its going to be an EPIC battle between MCA S13 and Scorch Racing S15 that's for sure!! Tilton has been nice and quiet, like usual, just working away. They are making small changes to try and chase 1:23 ~ 1:22's, and given a clear track, They should be able to do it!
  18. Doubt we will be seeing Nemo ANY time soon. If at all.
  19. Kinda disagree. I had much more fun driving my mates 220kW Evo 8 around town then my 300+kW Evo. When they are lower powered they are soooo much more fun on the streets, but boring on the track. The faster and more focussed the Evo is the more boring on the street it actually is. They become waaaaay too overkill.
  20. TBH, My evo kinda bores me on the street. It is simply way to focussed, and even 'spirited' driving can get boring in it because it is simply too overkill. Then again, maybe Im getting too old. haha. Best bang for buck daily at the moment, I think you cant go past an Evo X. Comfortable, roomy, and damn quick with a few basic modifications. ^ Completely agree.
  21. ^ I wonder why we haven't seen any aftermarket VGT turbos yet?
  22. ^ Are those factory turbos manufactured by Borg Warner by any chance? **EDIT** After a little bit of research, the turbos for the McLaren M838T engine are sourced from MHI
  23. Was one of the first things I pulled off my Evo.
