it depends on the power of the amp. if it will supply enough power for the sub at 4 ohm then that is best as it will give you the best sound quality. if the amp isn't quite up to it at 4 ohm and is capable of running at 1 ohm then run it that way.

hey guys, i bought my car a while back now, and the previous owner told me it had a hi flowed rb25 turbo on it. i am/was a bit suspect that it was hi flowed or even rb25 for that matter. i have since upgraded the turbo but now i want to sell my existing turbo. how do i tell if it is rb25 or rb20?? i am yet to take the dump pipe off so im assuming that when i get a look inside the exhaust housing and exhaust wheel ill be able to tell if its hi-flowed. but i have no idea what the difference in looks or specs between an rb20 and 25 turbo is. i could prob get some pics if that helps. Cheers - Ryan

Dr. Drift Re-mapped Ecu
vitz_n1 replied to vitz_n1's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
sorry mate, no dyno graph. im not even 100% sure on what power it made. as i said, it was in the car when i purchased it and i didnt get a dyno graph with the car. the previous owner told me it was making 18xrwkw. and that felt about right in the way it drove. prob had more in her but had standard afm and injectors. like i said im not sure on the price so if anyones interested, throw me an offer. Hey guys, i have a remapped ecu out of a 32 gtst. it was tuned for a hi-flow rb25 turbo running 12psi with exhaust, cooler and fuel pump. it was in the car when i purchased it and was tuned by dr. drift. I really dont know how much these are worth, so $200 just to put a price on it. if im way off the mark someone please let me know. im in melb eastern suburbs so feel free to pick up or ill post at buyers expense. Any questions pm or call me on 0422 034 450 Cheers - Ryan

hey guys. ive just installed a 2510 on my car and everything is sweet bar one annoying thing. there is a hole on top of the exhaust housing on the turbo. its just after the flange (where the turbo bolts to manifold i.e T3). i'm pretty sure its for some kind of sensor, i'm thinking exhaust temp..... problem i have is i just wanna plug it up but i cant find a bolt that fits. ive tried everything i can get in both imperial and metric. i have also thought about just having it welded shut but IF it is for a sensor than its prob not best and i dont really wanna have to take it all off just to have it welded and im a little concerned about fragments of metal falling in the exhaust housing if i have it welded with the turbo bolted up. does anyone know what the pitch of the thread is for that hole? its a real fine thread. OR if it is for a sensor, what sensor is it for and where could i get a cheap second hand one just to plug the hole??? Cheers - Ryan

rb20 are still not available through ap engineering though?? stick with it!! still quite a bit of interest for rb20 items. and there will be a few after the rb25 version i would imagine, as it appears this would be a cheaper option.

Dodgy Things You Have Done To Your Cars

a while back i ass ended a holden with a tow bar in my old 626 which dinted in the front-middle of my car in about a foot and bent my radiator nearly right angles. so we drove her to the nearest stable looking tree and tied her to it, wacked it in reverse and wallah. threw the bumper in the boot, disconnect the rad fan. $30 for a bumper from the wreckers and 20 000km later and still goin strong. -
very interested in one with usb converter.

excuse my ignorance, but im a little confused. this is a piggy back unit right. and i think i saw someone say that it is plug in for r32 gtst if you use the gtr plug in harness and cut a few wires is this correct? if so, how/what do i plug it into? if the standard ecu is plugged in then what does this plug into? im seriously interested in one of these, just concerned ill purchase one and my tuner wont get the most out of it. oh, and what wires on the harness do i need to cut? -
