To exchange or obtain foreign currency I just go to AMEX, there's one on Collins St inside the Westpac branch.. 360 Collins from memory, near Queen. Some Westpac branches will also accept FX and exchange to AUD but they will not give it out, as they do not keep any at the branch. Both Westpac and AMEX charge $8 fees for each currency (last I was there anyway). You can ring AMEX and get them to give you a rate over the phone for the exchange, you can also book ahead and they have online options so you can book Foreign Currency before you travel.

actually we were followed quite a way through eltham by a marked car, didn't get pulled over but he ran the red caus we went slow over some bumps turning right on the orange lol then we went through a breatho on edgars rd and they let us through with a 'have a good night' so that was nice of them.. we get followed through eltham all the time actually, but they don't pull us over, in fact the other week they flashed us to move so they could pull over a ute.. har har

Always worth recording it, just 'in case'.. if it all goes wrong then you have something to back you up. Best method is turning it on as soon as you're pulled over and putting it in your pocket, if you are asked to exit the vehicle and pop your hood then you are still in audible distance of your phone. Actually I have a recording somewhere from the time I was pulled over and told "it's nothing personal, its just this type of car you drive, theres lots of 17yr olds hooning around here with all these big exhausts hanging off the back, big enough to stick your foot in..." Nothing personal, being discriminatory and harrassing import drivers is all ok though apparently. I haven't really had any issues where I would need to take it further though. I think most ppl that have issues with TMU are usually rude little pricks that do nothing but get themselves into more trouble and then wonder why they are constantly pulled over. Keep in mind that you are entitled to refrain from making any comments and ask that they submit any questions to your legal representative. However saying this may cause them to look for more issues, so it may be worth just answering their questions and complying. Depends on the situation.

no, you cant drive forward. You need to park in a completely different 'zone'.. ie you need to drive past a pole basically. Generally if it's the same zone, then those 4 parks will be within a set of 2 poles with the same sign. You can park on the other side of the street.. but if you move forward and are still within the exact same poles/parking signs.. then you will get a ticket. Some people will move forward and the chalk will be on the underside of the wheel.. but some of the vultures write down plates and whatever, so it's not the best option. And yes they do sit and wait. In suburban council areas they will literally sit in their cars at 8.45am every single day and wait for parents to stop in the no-standing zone for all of 15 SECONDS to drop off their kids (caus theres nowhere else close to the gate to stop legally!) and then send a $100 fine in the mail. That's because they are not only vultures but sneaky scum-of-the-earth Fckrs too. I don't do a U turn and come back, no way to prove that I left the spot and I'm sure they won't take MY word for it..

agreed with greg, should only be one nomination per person, doesnt really matter tho I guess, ultimately no-one has to vote for them. I dont think anyone who was nominating is expired.. I usually check and point these things out before the night... esp members-only events.. and would remind ppl they've expired (eg members only cruises)
