At last count, about 40% of our members own something other than a skyline. This includes many 180sx's, S15s, S14s, WRXs, EVOs, Datsuns, various Mazda's, Holden's, a couple of BMWs and about 10 Toyota's Adam/Rob - Alot of our events don't require a fast car/skyline anyway. You can always spectate, help out or jump in someone else's car for a cruise.. plenty of people do that already. Grape grazing in Feb is a good example.. obviously you wouldn't want to be driving home, so there's an SAU bus

Thanks for all the feedback Appreciate the effort thanks I don't go for that new gourmet aussie chinese food like at Flower Drum though I imagine if you did it would be a great place to go. Want more like a 50 item menu etc with traditional aussie chinese like mongolian beef, chicken cashew, honey prawns and the like Moderate to expensive.. parents are buying hehe

Hey guys, can someone please recommend a REALLY GOOD chinese restaurant in the city.. I have some family coming down from Sydney on the weekend, and so far I've only been to yummy Japanese places really We are really picky/critical about food (and service!) so I hate just taking a guess as to where to go, and then regretting it All help appreciated Please let me know why you think a particular restaurant is good too.. About 2:30am our lights were flickering intermittently and one of our dogs was barking. We smelt smoke and I ran out the front to see smoke billowing down the street. Ran up about 5 houses to see a flat in a block of units on fire with 20 ft flames visible from behind the roof, windows all blown out. Called the fire brigade who arrived within minutes, but sadly too late for the man who lived there and was still inside. I don't know how long the fire was burning before we got there but it only took moments to engulf the unit basically, luckily it didn't spread further down to our house or any of our neighbours. The embers coming downwind from the unit were huge. Lucky for us we were awake either way, but a vivid reminder to check all your smoke alarms and have a plan in case of fire. As far as I understand most people suffocate from smoke inhalation long before the fire gets to them. Sorry for the cops and fire brigade who have such a shite job, and on NYD no less. RIP to the deceased, and have a safe new year everyone else.

I saw Tai rock up (couldn't miss that car!) but I have no idea what he looks like and I didn't see him getting out of the car.. was kinda busy anyway.. so you should have just come and said hi! The ones sitting around under the marquee drinking are always going to be the most vocal, overly friendly group.. always a good place to start.... Anyway if you guys come down to the meeting on the 18th @ Bells, come and say hi and we can introduce you around

(8/12) Members/non-members/everyone is welcome to come down and have a look at all the cars on display.. and current members can enter their car for the chance to win some awesome prizes from Centreline Suspension!! If you're not a current member and would like to enter your car, you are more than welcome to sign up or renew your membership on Saturday. There's also a FREE BBQ lunch for all current members, so please bring your SAU VIC Membership Card with you. We'll be there from 10am, leaving by 5pm.. so even if you can't make it til the afternoon, come down anyway!
