  1. nice and COLD
  2. Dave, that's not too good, any reason why it failed, or you've just been waiting for it to do it?
  3. Jesus.. that's pretty quick, you guys using a steering wheel?
  4. Mind if I join in, only just bought mine on Monday.. So M3 GTR on Laguna Seca - your on!!..
  5. How much were they Tim, heard they're not cheap..
  6. Links

    Thanks

As everyone has said, always happy to help out.. Everyone did a fantastic job!!
  7. Might be worth flushing your brake fluid with some Motul RBF600, it's only $25/bottle (need 2) and probably 1/2 hour to flush at a mechanic - probably good for piece of mind knowing that you won't boil your brake fluid..
  8. Any more to come richard, fantastic photos, makes me wanna go away over there..
  9. Thanks everyone.. unfortunately unless I can go down there with full confidence I won't enjoy it, also a couple of other things needed to be done to get it ready in time including new tires + gearbox oil change.. so i'm going to save the cash, get the box done and head too the next one.. Your right that the gearbox could let you at any stage, however i'm a lot kinder to it on the street than when doing flat out laps around a track Anyways, will definately still be down there watching + getting some photos.. And now i'm feeling more relaxed not having to rush stuff..
  10. What ECU are you running, as said above the stock ECU redline is 6800rpm..
  11. Your on, just had it niggling in the back of my mind, well actually it was whining in my ear the whole way home Maybe you can take us out for a lap in the 180sx.. Show me what I could have been doing
  12. Afternoon peoples, i've decided to pull out of the trackday this weekend as i'm not 100% confident in my car staying in 1 piece (mainly my gearbox which as everyone knows has been bad for a while)... Hopefully everyone understands, as i'd much rather get everything fixed up, including better pads as Oz GTR suggested, some decent tyres and than hit the track.. Unfortunately i'm not in a position to have anything go wrong especially down at Goldburn... I'm still going to come down and spectate (maybe even jump in for a passenger ride if people are still willing to take me out) and hopefully i'll have the car ready to go for the next event, which I believe might be the Texikhana.. Thanks for everyone's help getting the car ready, I was originally hoping to have the gearbox fixed, however time passes and $$$'s dissapear.. I'll catch you all down there on Sunday (just at a more reasonable hour)
  13. Probably more dangerous empty than full as it's full of gas vapours - something to think about..
  14. Nooo. mona, what's going on you can't pull out..
  15. Looks slow..
  16. 2 questions for people.. From what I can see, I need a helmet and EITHER a L2S License or a Wakefield Yearly license.. For both of us.. Is it too late to get an L2S one? or should I just get a 2 x Wakefield, 1 for me and my brother... Also - I need a helmet, i'm going to borrow one off my brother, what standards does it need to meet, also does anyone have a spare one for my brother to borrow on the day??? I'll post this up next week as well.. Cheers Links
  17. Mines been doing it for over a year, i'm going to rebuild it after the track day.. I got a quote from Gearbox Factory, $1100 + gst for a full rebuild, this included pulling it apart, sand blasting and replacing bearings + seals + (I think synchro's) Personally, rebuild it, that way you KNOW what condition it's in... + you'll get a warranty - 6 months..
  18. Just trying to work out as Jon said how with all wheels turning it doesn't try to pull left or right on the dyno, must slip a bit or the hooks hold it fast in place
  19. How does the circuit racing work in a AWD/4WD car?
  20. Good example of a launch/drag testing on a dyno is the one of the evo with anti-lag.. it's on youtube.. i'll see if I can dig it up I believe they only have RWD dyno's though @ Drag Tag - is that correct?
  21. Yeah they do, you have to have the brackets fitted to your car and they have hooks that lock in and pull down a bit I believe.. Wheelspin wouldn't be able to be prevented though i'm sure..
  22. 2rismo - what times did you run on dragtag compared to on the track??
  23. Ticking isn't your lifters is it? Could be the oil your using, would just get a couple of mechanics to check this first..
  24. Yeah, that would probably be right, it's got something like 10 radiators in the car..
  25. Click on the link, they are the intercoolers.. Remember they are exposed to the outside on the veyron so it will have a fair bit of airflow going past them..
