  1. Sounds like a fun and busy year ahead for you, it's always great to set goals and even better when you achieve them. The more gtr's running the better, looks like the skylines will finally out number the evo's at world time attack as I see a trend happening.
  2. Great question Stevo, let you know shortly.......
  3. Great question Stevo, let you know shortly.......
  4. cheers benny, would have been great to see your car compete at the flying 500. congrats on the 8.39 super quick time also. Cars weighing 1278 without driver or fuel, we will be back next year running a 2 car gtr team.....in 2 different classes, can wait.
  5. The winning lap of open class 2013 and to say thank you to all for the event and our sponsors. And the car has now officially been dubbed as 'THE MONSTER', GTR.
  6. Cheers Chris, will try our best. Hopefully next year we aren't busy when you swing past to say hey.
  7. Lol didn't turn the boost right up, was close but always had some reserve that wasn't needed. If we did I know it would break into the 1.30's with some more drive time, but it really needs handling not more power....also played it safe as most people blew their engines up, like the vsport evo 10 on the Friday, and half the field. Well I didn't plan on doing another wtac next year and now that we most likely will. I don't want to reveal the figures just yet and that way we can keep the evo's, wrx's, and the rest of the field guessing but I think we have more than most that attended, even the pro cars.
  8. Cheers Andrew, wouldn't have been possible without people like you. When we needed parts ASAP you were the one that made it happen the next morning, not many suppliers or businesses in my time have been so supportive and just get things done when needed. And a big thanks to all for the kind words, I knew all along that this gtr could do what it did, it just took some time to find the right people to make it happen. And to all those that doubted me along the way (you know who you are).......told you it's possible!
  9. It's a rotary, it's supposed to do that right? Lol
  10. I think speed week will be showing it at some stage.
  11. Oh and more girls are needed.......lots more.
  12. Watching time attack is a little slow if you or your team isn't involved, they can definitely improve on it as I'm sure in time it will get better. Some things to make it better I would suggest sector timing with light displays similar to the v8supercar top ten shoot out. A big screen to see this and if funds available to film the timing with in car footage. Cars that leak oil or smoke etc must be scrutineered prior to be allowed to head back out as this slowed the day, also caused most cars not to set a personal best or better their time, this was evident again in the last pro session as tilton and under Suzuki were sliding around from the class before them. The drifting was awesome to watch and I enjoyed the flying 500. Overall I enjoyed it and can see huge potential in it.
  13. Car looked fantastic James, gotta be happy with a new pb, much more to come out of your car dude. Hope to see it out again shortly.
  14. Position #1 in open and 12th out of 82 cars, hell yeah. What an awesome experience to be part of especially after all the long long, did I mention long, hours that where put in by the whole team to make this happen. Saturday started off with a very early morning with hardly any sleep as the gearbox selector forks needed attending. All fixed and ready to go for the first session out, car was on for a low 1.32 when 3 corners from the finish line a turbo clamp popped off...damn! Especially cause the v sport evo pulled off a 132.4 taking first place, and it was morning which was perfect if we would set our fastest time as most teams do. The vsport evo stuffed their gearbox so their day was done but at least they pulled off a fantastic time. So fixed the clamp and ready for second session, firs lap out dean comes back into the pits with a misfire....farrrrk. This part was so cool to see, boys jumped in and did a magic plug change in pit lane to try and rectify the issue before the chequered flag dropped in a super quick time..out he goes and before the flag dropped, but didn't matter as the issue was still there. Second session wasted again. Found out it was a coil, now that's 2 coils that failed on us in 3 days, replaced it with the last spare coil we had and car was again ready for third session in 4 hours time. During this session the byp integra pulled a super fast time, high 1.32 I think which put us back to 3rd spot. So finally last session came and I my heart rate was going..so many people come to these events and the whole day is stuffed by the little issues not allowing to show what their cars can do. I couldn't watch so I went out behind the garages to hear the results on the pa. Deans out and he's on a flyer, (prior to heading out I tried to give him a motivational speech but failed miserably...note to self don't try this when exhausted as shit comes out wrong). Anyhow he passes the start line out lap which means he's all good so far and he was moving, he passed the finish line and over the pa comes the 1.31.78.... He'll yeah I was pumped, we all were. Great feeling when it finally pays off. Going over the data and dean hit 295.2km down the straight, stuffed up a couple corners and had to work around the teins not doing a good job but that will be fixed for next year, with a couple more little tricks that I'm hoping will see a 1.29. Massive thanks to all our sponsors, and huge thanks to Brett and dean for all the hard work, without these guys there is no way that the result that was achieved in such a short time frame was possible. Big thanks to all that swung past to say hi and all that helped, shared a garage with some cool gtr's and overall most teams went out of their way to help out if needed. Seriously cool cars and I'm sure they will all be quicker next year. Now I need to recover and sleep some more before I look at that gtr again. I will post the vid shortly.
  15. Another massive day, loving time attack but wish there was more drive time but you get that with so many cars. First session out today and a lap time couldn't be set as a car in front had leaked oil in the track. Second session out dean pulled out a 1.33.0 to take the lead from the evo 10 go pro by 1 second. Top speed on the straight hit 290km/h on the 3rd session out but gearbox issue struck and ended that hot lap. Gearbox is being sorted so we can be back in the morning for an all out attempt. There's about 2 seconds in it as current set up. Have learnt a lot from this event on what's needed to be done to break the 1.30 if attending this track again...first thing is ditch the teins. Big thanks to all that have come past to say hi. Keep ya posted tomorrow.
  16. Cheers buddy, what a amazing vibe and bunch of peeps that I finally had a chance to meet, some top quality cars too. Had a laugh. Practise day today had little issues such as a fualty oxy sensor and a stuffed coil, had about 10 laps so by the last lap these issues were finally diagnosed and will be fixed in the morning before first session. Deans first time with the car at this track and had to work out the best lines etc, pulled off a 1.34.8 but not a true indication as yet as he hasn't had a full on go, traffic and issues held him up. Although what is apparent is our tein suspension is not good at all at this track, phillip island is flat and it's fine but here it's evident that it's not good enough. Might have to look into mca gear. Can't wait for tomorrow to hopefully lay down some good times. Will keep ya posted guys, cheers.
  17. Hey Russ, using the ppg dogbox with a Motorsport strain gauge. We couldn't believe it hit 300 and took a couple days to sink in what we have now built. All braking distances have now changed and need more test time to work it out. Car will now have a full maintenance program written out so parts can be replaced to keep it in good running order. Thanks to all for your support and kind words over the last few months, feel free to come and say hi at wtac. Garage 15A. Can a skyline finally take back the evo dominance at wtac? We're gonna try our best, and if that's not enough we will turn the boost right up.
  18. Yep getting excited, think I might even wash and wax it.
  19. Winton shakedown week prior, car suspension and gearing is not set for this track but great test day anyhow. Best lap time 1.26 mid boost.
  20. Phillip island 9th October first test day at this track since complete rebuild, best lap 1.33.5,
  21. Yesterday's test sessions, there is a good 1-2 seconds left with more time and better conditions. I really want it to break the 1.30 at phillip island but not sure if it can be done without a flat floor. We also had an additional 50rwkw we didn't use, like to play it safe for now. Thinks we might have to use all of it at world time attack. To get under 1.30 at smp... that would be cool but I think 1.31-1.32 would be on it without more test sessions.
  22. Ok guys great day and everyone's excited about the results today. We have smashed our previous record of 1.36.7. First session out dean pulled a 1.33.5 at a top speed of 298.3kmph, unfortunately paul and I rocked up late to record that lap and only have it on the go pro which didn't show the dash, second session out we did record a 1.34.2 and a top speed of 300.7kmph, will post this vid in a day or 2 when paul has worked his magic. The Audi r8 Gt cars were also out testing and there best laps were 1.35 as they too were battling hi winds today, their normal lap times are 1.30ish............so were freakin excited.
