  1. Selling off some parts that are laying around at the work shop off my gtr32, happy to sell off at best offers. I have heaps of other parts laying around that I'd be happy to sell cheap too, car was stripped and is a circuit car. So seat belts, wipers, abs, spare wheel, computers and wiring, old deck, etc etc are just all in boxes collecting dust. Private message me if you think the price isn't right for a sale. Tomei cams A2691N stamped, they are 260 9.15lift. $250 Standard plenum with throttle bodies. $80 Hks blow off valves, told they are sqv, need a clean though. $60 Doors left and right $100 without trims. Boot lid $140 Head Lights pair $130 Garrett 2860 -10's with standard dump pipes, one is damaged at last track day, looks like it needs a new core, exhaust compressor housing but haven't pulled it apart the other is in perfect working order. $250 for both with the dump pipes. Power steering pump with reservoir $50 Ignition coil pack $70 Driftworks solid conversion bushes- s13/r32 to s14/r33/r34, these are brand new in box direct from uk unused, paid over 200 to get em, $80 Whiteline polished strut brace $50
  2. Awesome, that's a shit load of weight. Great progress. Let me know what you get it down too.
  3. Good work buddy, could you tell any difference between the splitter off then on?
  4. Hey guys, been in contact with scott and Ian to clear up the front splitter rule in open class. Im not sure on the rules for clubsprint and how it affects you guys. Thought I'd post this for all of us as not only were we unsure, it seems many teams have a different interpretation of the rule, Scott helped write the rules and still waiting back from Ian but Scott has responded below with a quick document to try and clear it up. It's not official yet but as the rules currently stand the pictures show what is allowed under current rules by Scott's interpretation. Scott's response regarding front splitter, cut and pasted. I spoke with Ian yesterday and sent him an email last night re a few > changes I think we need to make but as yet haven't documented these for him. > This rule is one of them. > I'll put together a quick document now outlining the rule as it currently > sits and the proposed simple change I'd like to see. > The first two pages show what is currently legal. This is a direct translation of the vehicle profile forward up to a maximum of 150mm. The second page also include allowances for a winglet/canard as part of the splitter plate. I would deem this to also be legal. Page three shows the result of allowing the 150mm to be measured in any direction. This is currently illegal. Page 4 shows my proposed change, allowing the splitter to be blended into the winglet section and making it easier to measure and check for all involved. This should make the rule easier for all to understand. > Best regards, > > Scott Beeton Hope this helps
  5. Hey James how's it coming along. When do you think it will be track ready?
  6. Your front bar looks good, turned out good.
  7. We are happy to welcome a new sponsor onboard, VPW Australia. We now have all our proflow fittings, hoses, alloy bends and clampshell couplings to put it all together. There catalogue is a novel, they stock everything.
  8. Hey dan not worried, I was thinking about buying one as a track car already complete, if these guys can get them down to 1050ish on 350 reliable kw then that would be fantastic, 450 is another level, I had a 2000 model wrx and loved it, but was only a street car. Love the gtr and I wouldn't sell it ever, but if you guys had a choice knowing what you know now what car would you get for a circuit car?
  9. If they sleeve the blocks they can handle big power. Makes sense to get an evo or a wrx as a track car though, they're light without the need of carbon.
  10. Great question, car was supposed to be ready in July but had some unforeseen hold ups. So this time I don't wont to state exactly so I don't disappoint myself lol. There's heaps still needing to be done and guys can only work after hours at the moment. I'm gonna say completed by September. Ill post the vids up when its alive and tuned if I get a chance.
  11. Yep, needs doin. Pic of what they were like, should be a little lighter now.
  12. Cheers, Steve. Had a look and the autotech sti, best possible weight can be 1181, Harts car can be as low as 1054 which is crazy light. Not sure what they will weigh though.
  13. It varies for all, depends on your driving style, brakes, weight of car, track. If you notice you need cooling its not that difficult to do later. Speaking of brakes though... My rotor hats were just modified to suit v8 supercar rotors which arrived today.
  14. For sprints and time attack as they are usually under 6 laps its never been a problem, I've run alloy air guides in the past but took them off. I physically couldn't tell the difference between them being on or off. Not sure what the temps were at but it has not affected the braking what so ever as the brakes are fantastic. So now with the front blocked off it may be a different story, Bc don't think it will make any difference as time attack is only a few laps at a time. Recently read an article by Simon mcbeath in race car engineering, the short story.... They tested a wrx with a small front splitter and a larger front splitter in a wind tunnel test. Test showed there wasn't much downforce difference to the front of the car with the larger splitter vs the smaller splitter which is odd, they then blocked off all the front holes in the front bar and all the front down force then appeared. Seems previously not only was the open bar causing drag but the air was escaping through the bar and then under the car not allowing the downforce to occur.
  15. Would anyone know or like to take a guess at the weight of the autotech sti and Jason harts wrx's? , earlier evo's and Rex's are so much lighter than gtr's.
  16. From that pic your wing end plates look as big as your doors lol. We also made some bigger end plates and used the 7075 t6 alloy i believe, as we needed something strong and light. What material did you use to make them?
  17. Grew up with commodores, appreciate all cars and any budget, bring on the build dude.
  18. Thanks Adam, stay tuned as there's heaps to come. There hasn't been any need for brake ducting as yet, our last track day and prior to that the brakes were fantasic, now that we have blocked up the holes in the front bar and with more track laps it could be a different story. If needed one way would be to create holes in the front bar, attach silicone ducting to it and guide it to the caliper. Ill post pics up if needed. Only the drivers side is carbon, the left one is fibre glass from tomei. Justin from Revzone.com.au ordered most of my jap parts as he always gets awesome prices. Here's a link of what it looks like below. http://www.nengun.com/tomei/headlamp-air-intake-nissan-skyline-r32-gtr
  19. Bc attached the goodies to the engine, manifold, plenum, and dry sump pump.
  20. Our new engine courtesy of our sponsors. Cavehill engine services, Nitto performance engineering, Ross balancers.
  21. Brett and dean started working on the car again today, had some hold up issues with parts arriving, but I guess that's expected sometimes. They replaced all the bearings even though they are ok, best to do for reliability and its easier to do now whilst everything is out.
