There was someone doing copy do luck wings a while ago... they looked pretty good to. They were on ebay. I wish i'd seen them before i got the genuine item.

From what i have found early R32's (ie mine) use a H3C low beam and a H3 high beam. Later R32's that i have looked at are H1 low and H1 high. As for replacement H3C globes with a whiter/bluer light, decent ones are hard to come by. Philips or Narva don't make them. I tired a set from ebay which had a nice coloured light but only lasted a couple of months. Then i tried a set of Autotecnica ones and one of the globes blew within 5 minutes of putting it in. Then when i pulled it out again it basically disintegrated in my hands. Might be worth saving up for HID's unless one of the Japanese manufactures makes a decent quality replacement globe.

2 questions... How much mucking around to get them on a 32 GTST and Whats the rough price i'm looking at for the calipers?

Priced these rubber thingy's up at Nissan today... $70 for the set! Oh well it has to be done i guess.

I just pulled my injectors out of my RB20DET cos a couple had leaky O-rings. Now i've notived that underneath the o-ring there's another rubber seal looking thingy (see picture). I'm wondering if these need to be replaced as well as a couple of them seem pretty shagged. Cheers guys, Simon.

A little off topic... but who else can i get good engine mounts for an rb20 from besides Nismo?

Tein super streets are the go if you're after a more comfortable ride. They're probably a lot more suited to our bodgy aussie roads than the HA's and HR's.

What's the best way to get the old sealant off? Just plenty of scraping and cleaning with solvent?

I had a similar problem and it was a timing belt idler pulley that had siezed up. Happened after car hadn't been driven for a couple of months as well. Doesn't take much to pop the cover off and check.

They gave no reason why they need to be changed. I haven't had a look yet but if i can't see anything obviously wrong with them then i'll try and avoid changing them. As for the sump... that's good news! Any tips for doing the gasket? I never had to do one with a sealant before... only ever used gaskets.

In a recent rego inspection i was told of a couple of problems i have to fix. Most of them i have covered but there's a couple that have me stumped. Firstly, engine mounts have to be changed. Car is an R32 GTS-T. Is this a hard job? Am i right in thinking the whole engine doesn't have to be copmletely removed? Secondly, leaky sump gasket. Can this be done with engine and crossmember in place? Also, as far as i'm aware there is no actual gasket, its a chemical sealant. Would Permatex Ultra Grey be the right stuff for the job? This is with super streets on lowest setting and 18" rims. PM NathR32 on this forum for more info... it's his car. I think he said he got a quote for lower springs that could be fitted to the coilovers but i don't remember the details.

I need new tie rod ends for my 32 GTS-T. So far all i can find is genuine Nissan ones which are quite pricey even after a hefty discount or aftermarket items such as the Just Jap ones which i'm not sure of their legality. A guy i know thinks N15 pulsar ones work on the R33... just wondering if i'd have any such luck with my R32? Cheers Simon

Well i haven't hit anything hard recently... only slightly clipped one of those angled gutters. But..... about a year ago i was ran off the road by some clown and went straight into a gutter at about 80ish. I checked at the time but there was no obvious damage. The only thign i can think of is maybe the first incident weakened it. I found it odd that there was no damage at all to any of the other suspension compenents! :s
