Have you blocked up the air ducts that would normally bring the air-con/heater through. Block them up behind the dash with some fridge insulation that you can get from bunnings. Just incase it is entering through there.
Chris
People say that N/A skylines will beat turbo skylines and I am sure that with a little tinkering of the engine and suspension they could. But not in their standard form.
But you still get all the looks of a Skyline, and not to mention better Fuel econemy with a N/A line. I like all Skylines, not just Turbo Jobbies.
Chris
wrap the turbo with a turbo insulating bag and the exhaust manifold and dump pipe with heat resistant tape, that should keep a little bit of the heat in. Line the inside of the firewall with some insulation mats and cover them up with carpet.
Only a few suggestions
Chris
I am not saying that there is anything wrong with a NA skyline. My point is that I purchased my GTST because I wanted a Skyline for its performance and looks not just its looks. I think that they are a fantastic car (NA or Turbo) and I also wanted somthing that I can mod in the future to become a "hi performance" car. I also like the better brakes and 5 stud wheels and the other extra features that the GTST has over the GTS.
I got my car from Clayton at AJM Motor Sport on Main St Kangaroo Point. they offer a 1 year warranty with all cars. Very happy with their service.

Saw about 10 skylines last night in town. a Black R33 with a GT wing, a yellow R33 GTST, grey R32 gtr, Yellow R34 GTT, White R33 4 door gtst and many others as I was drunk and cant rememeber number plates.
any of theses you guys?
Chris
Its all about the Power Waz. My mate has a n/a skyline and he has done extractors, POD, ECU, Exhaust, he has even lightened the flywheel and variable cams. After doing all of this he still only made about 175HP (not KW) at the wheels.
I have an Auto R33 gts25t and all I did was install a POD for about $100 and now I get people asking me what BOV I have, and they are amazed when I say its stock.
If you power on the pedel and jump off, it still makes a BOV noise like a manual.
cheers

I was given a Speco Boost guage and I installed it myself, its really really easy, I dont know what I was worrying about.
Thanks for the advise guys.
Cheers

Move to QLD, you can own anything here.
But keeping to the post POD, Exhaust, ECU, Tune should give you few extra KWs, but in my opinion keep it stock save your chash and when you get your opens get a GTS-t. Instant power increase.
cheers

I would like to know who people have purchased Boost gauges off and who installed it. I could possibly install it myself but I spent years working on my Valiant that doing fiddily crap like that is just not fun anymore. I heard that Autobarn is the place to go, but can you get them cheaper elseware and get them installed at the same time?
thanks in advance
Chris
I have to make a trip to Townsville somtime between 7th and 9th of September, I was wondering if skyline owners would be out cruising the streets and if they are what nights they go out, as if all goes well I willl be driving the line up from Brisbane. So I might tag along if all goes well.
Cheers

I got an Auto box in my line and it beats STOCK manual lines off the mark, but for trackwork (drifting ect..) it aint that great, it depends what you want really, I only got the auto cause I wanted a 4 door and to find them in a Manual is pretty hard for the price I was after But I am happy with the auto, Plus it is easy to convert them to a "quick shift".
Cheers

I have a stock Standard R33 gtst and I got 136kw at the wheels, its an auto, but I would assume that 145kw with all the mods you have done doesn't seem right. Does anyone here think the same?
