  1. Hey Chris, Is that your car mentioned in march MOTOR under "What's in your garage section"??? I've just noticed that while reading it last night if so that's cool I would keep a copy to show my grandkids one day. Perhaps you could use that as a sales pitch with prospective buyer? Good luck with sale. Dave
  2. About 3 weeks ago mate of mine and me went to Lithgow with boys for some go kart practice, while there we went to holy land Bathurst as well. Also we droped in motorsport museum and took only few shots from all the exitment absolutely amazing. I couldn't really put my foot down anywhere as people were using the track to jogg?? Even if I could coming down the mauntain is no joke let me tell you! Enjoy Dave
  3. Come on you GTR lovers who didn't get his march copy of MOTOR it has to be colectors item. I tell you at my two local news agencies not to many left in the first week! I've got 2 one for safe keeping and 1 for reading in my library (bathroom). Nice pictures too Loved it. By the way anyone with original Wheels or Motor with 32 GTR on the cover I'd like to buy let me know! Enjoy Dave
  4. I agree with this reply 100% and just to add to those 20 or so possibilities you could have leaking intake manifold gasket as I do and sometimes misses on idle. Good luck! Dave
  5. Mate my 2 cents is you are over doing it with 300v in gtst unless it's heavily moded rb20. I had gtst and Motul 4100 10-40w is just fine if you change it every 3 mts or 5k wichever comes first. Of course if money is no issue then go with 300v. Also any good quality semi syn oil is fine if you change it frequently and if you buy bulk (20l) can it's even cheaper! Oh and don't forget after any track work oil change is a must. Dave
  6. Hey mate how u goin, Look like someone said before there is not a lot of mula goin around for big play items like cars etc... Anyway I'd like to know what condition is your floors panels the usual rust spots eg. rear guards (inner), or corners front and back of your rear wheels, jacking points??? If all good I'm willing to beat your last offer of $14k, My offer $15k................? Let me know your thoughts. Diamond PS. Good luck with your wedding and don't worry to much.
  7. Hey dude, I'm after a drivers side window seal rubber that goes around the frame. If it's not ripped. How much? Cheers dave
  8. You have to believe and think in perspective. I'll never forget my neighbour buying XYGT in 96 or 97 for less then 20k, how much can he get now? As well me selling my 74 HZGTS for 6k in 93 hmmm ??? I think you should put your N1 away and buy another one to use, the reason I predict people will pay around 80 to 110k by the year 2020 for the mint low k's non modified N1 gtr with supporting paperwork and number match. I also think that some people on this very forum have some clean and rare gtr's tucked away as long term investment!? dave
  9. Funny that I own that dvd as well? along with bunch more other jap ones r32gtr related. I also have few stickers "tooheys 1000" the great race and one is on my front windscreen!? I'll go and search for that gtr. Dave
  10. I'll have to disagree with you on that one. I'm saying in 10-15 years from now super clean non moded rusted or dented stock 32 gtr will pull more then double then you will pay for one today that's if you can find one. Of course clean v-spec or nismo will demand more and not to mention aussie delivered one, but in proportion plain gtr will go up as well just like replica ford gt cost anywhere between 40-80k restored? compare to stupidly high $ for HOGT and so on. Hey I could dreaming but time will tell and given the aura that this car have plus when 35 gtr comes along there will be more demand due to the media exposure. So people will think 35 gtr is to far for me but I can afford 32 and still have fun. Dave
  11. That would be April '89 issue with red gtr on the cover. let me know if you keen to sell it ? I've been shoping on ebay for one but non available!? Also Motor was reviewing one in August '89 but same non available? Your lucky busterd. Dave
  12. I've just come across this month's MOTOR and on page 120 4 page spread on 32 GTR wow! I thought it was very positive and objective write up on a legend car and also good insight if you looking to buy one. I love the "Good" part where they say that 32 gtr offers top bang for your buck and excellent investment potential which I've been sayin for a long time. Infact I'm looking for another clean stocker (harder to find now ) to clean up and put away for few years. I love it Diamond
  13. Yea it was a great relaxing day and well organised thanks John and Ben and helpers. Great to meet some of you guys and I didn't meet slim again I'll catch with you at christmas cruise. My young boy loved it and he scored a new sau hat (thanks goldzilla) I was happy how my stock gtr runs only 202.1kw but more importantly air/fuel curve was great. smooth stuff. Can someone post the results? Cheers Diamond
  14. I was always coming along to see what my new toy can pump given all the fresh service she just had. So Diamond is in 100% oh and my minime is coming to see whats doing. See ya there DD
  15. Hi Shell, Can you please confirm receipt of my payment. Thanks Dave
  16. Hey Shell, I have deposited money into SAU account today for renewal and additional stickers and PM sent. Please reply. Thanks Dave
  17. Hi all, Just wondering if so are we having this years Crissy cruise or is that being replaced by some other or is scraped due to having to many this close to holidays? Anyone please shed some light please. Cheers Dave
  18. Come on people give the guy a break and be helpfull if you can and this forum is not HSC testing trials. Instead of helping some of you sound like smart assses. Anyway all I can suggest is give a call to good mate of mine Robert from TUNEEXPRESS (0414 23 66 99) He is mobile and for a small fee he can go out there and do inspection and e-mail the report. Good luck buddy David
  19. Hi there, I can highly recomend a good mate of mine Robert from TUNEEXPRESS contact: 0414 23 66 99, he is mobile and he will do it much cheaper than State roads not mention you can rely on his report. Also he will point out things that are not to hard to fix but good barganing tool. Just mention that I've sent you and that you are from SAU; Good luck David
  20. On the white GTR I would go with black/gunmetal rays g-lights 57 pro. That would look insane and very mean.
  21. Yeah I would pass on this 32 as well. Sand blasted plenum can mean that car has had a hard life or driven at full potential for a long period like track work. Also you have to be sure that floor, inner guards are not rusted. However if you can not get more detail info/photos then it has to be very cheap if you really like it. When I got mine looked very clean but later I've had to invest about 6K to remove all the rust from underbody it was a total resto whole interior removed and all. Just be carefull. Good Luck mate Dave
  22. No man this is not stupid thread, All of your hard earned cash is melting away and it doesn't take long with GTR but now that you know whats done it must feeel good when you first fired it up after so long. I've just picked mine up yesterday after 5 wks at panel shop getting rust cleaned up (6K later) but I'm happy knowing she's clean. Good on ya and now that it's all good mechanicaly how's your body so to speak did you check all the usual spots inner guards, floor etc..? Good luck Dave
  23. No it's all good boys. I just thought to share my discovery with you and just to raise some awarenes for people that intend to keep their car for long. I do agree that rust level depends on garaging owner in Japan and also area of Japan as well. I think mine was sitting/ driven on mushy salt/ice roads given the rear quater panel holes. Once it's all cleaned, plate welded, treated, primed and painted it will be just like new again. I'm also removing the seats and carpet to check the other side of the floors. Deren's signiture (my restoration thread) sums it all up as GTR's and empty walets go hand in hand. Cheers Dave
