  1. Thanks mate. I know what you saying I was always expecting some rust here and there but not holes.I do agree that all GTR's have rust as some people are what you don't know you don't know. I'll say if you are keeping your GTR for a long time have it checked before it rusts under you. My car is still there getting repaired (2-3 wks) but once its done it will be like new. All in all not to faul when I add purchase price and pro rust removal job, other then that the car is good no rebuild needed...............................yet! Dave
  2. I received a pair of the group buy leather gear shift and hand brake boots today. For $55 bucks it was worth it. They got fitted to the console and look pretty good. Hey Deren, Just wondering where did you get leather gear from as mine are pretty bad and needs to be replaced. Buy the way I have been following your thread for while now and I must say you are from planet GTR you are not for real good on ya. Oh and don't ever add up or think about the money you've invested in as your GTR is trully a masterpiece one of a kind Cheers Dave
  3. Hey all, Thought I'll share my disapointment with you all to make myself feel better. After purchasing my '93 gtr I thought it was a bargain (dealer sale), However it turned out not to be after my panel beater had a good look over today . Mind you outside panels are very straight and the car feels stock and very good mechanically. To cut it short rust found in four spots in middle of the floor along the shasis rail and at the rear guards (inside) where some fabrication required (holes). Also some rust around and behind the petrol tank. Not to mention some surface rust around suspension parts and in the boot. O and the whole underbody was freshly sprayed with that tar stuff so I couldn't see properly So anyone buying a skyline be aware or if you just got one have it checked out to avoid disapintment. So the pain and cost of owning one of the great cars ever produced continues.................................. where does it stop? Mad Dave
  4. Thanks Shell, I'll do just that on Monday. the old design is fine given that I'm old so perfect match! Cheers davo
  5. Hi Shell, How are you/ Can you please let me know what is the best and quickest way to get one set of stickers for my new GTR one for the rear window long one and two for the sides. I'm not to fussed about if it's the old design if you still have them in stock? much apreciated. thanks Dave
  6. Spotted this morning on canal rd St Peters of Princess hwy black R34 *AN-36-DR* with body kit and that high wing. It looks OK because it has the whole kit so the wing blends in shame about the rims, nice one. Dave
  7. Hi there, can you give us a bit more details like K's , servire record general condition, Rego? etc.... Thanks Dave
  8. Hey no big deal I've got at home. It's kept enclosed at all times.............................1:24 scale However. It's Kyosho #6. Just looking at them exites me more then '69 mach 1 stang. Even replica's are good like the one at PowerPlay shop. "Keep the dream alive" Dave
  9. Not quite yet as I need to check everything and service so it doesn't wimp out on me at the outing I would hate that. However I will need to wait so I can save some money as my budget for my play toy is empty. Dave
  10. Thanks namo, I know she's not perfect example and yes it is basic respray but I guess you always get what you pay for. For the money it's OK and I'll clean it up a bit. I've already had to replace main switch for lights and fix the side skirts and it apears (making noise when cold) that I will need new starter motor as well just for starters. Oh and I hate the coil overs (JIC) great for track not for Sydney roads. Also twin plate cluch not very friendly in traffic! As I said before the fun has begun. *being sarcastic* Long live the king... Dave
  11. Here is some pics of my GTR..................................
  12. It's always good when people post up some good stuff for members use. Good on ya Gazza.
  13. Just give a call to mate of mine Robert from TUNE EXPRESS his got mobile business and has done R32gtr inspections for me and he is very experienced as well for any mechanical repairs on skyline or any other car. His number: 0414 23 66 99 Robert@TUNE EXPRESS MOBILE MECHANIC Good Luck Dave
  14. Oh and make sure there is no holes/rust in the floors or underbody right Dave??? To be sure to be sure Dave
  15. I've got one "SQUEAKY CLEAN" corporate cleaning services You have to keep it simple yet catchy and to the point to what you offer as a service or business. Good luck Dave
  16. I have picked up this arvo my new ride R32 GTR in nice all white with unmarked 5 spoke NSgt2 rims. I bought the car from Carizma in Melbourne and it arrived here as it's being descibed with no nasty suprises......... so far. i was beside myself when Ceva rang me (car carriers) that it's ready for pick up. I felt so empty since my black gtst was sold and so uncomplete. I'm all good now and the fun starts here Wooohooo. I'm baaack. I just had to share this with you since my wife is not happy for me (she can't see the diff. WTF?? beetwen cars) Happy Dave
  17. Mate, If I was down in Melbourne I wouldn't mind helping you out as my day job is negotiating (Purchasing Mgr.) but I'm sure you can negotiate a few G's of the price as every dealer likes to move the stock and the timing is good given that it's a bit slow in general and people are not spending big at the moment. I think I got a great deal for R32 GTR from them and I've seen few dealers and private cars. Also it's worth paying little bit extra for the right car as well. Good luck Dave
  18. Got it! Ta mate.
  19. Hi all, as the it says I'd like some feedback from our Victorian friends on Carizma at Richmond. Has anybody bought a car from them before? They seem genuine to me. If yes have you had any big problems with the car afterwards?? Cheers Dave
  20. So V-Spec GTr has no cut outs in the bar? Thanks for clearing this up. Dave
  21. Hi people, Can someone help answer the trivia on R32 GTR front bar? How does some 32 GTR's have 2 cut out holes in the front bar and some don't? Is it because "plain" GTR has flush fron bar and type m or V-Spec does have a cut out for cooling? I think it's "N1" GTR is that has cooling holes. Anyone please shed some light on this. Cheers Dave
  22. My guess would be fuel pump as well, given that it's not happening in the first gear. i've had this with my other car where fuel pump was tested and working, However the flow rate was wrong and once the new pump went in it was OK. Could also be something to do with you turbo comp. surge like Primordial said. my 2 cents Good luck
  23. Can you give me a bit more description of your car condition, mods etc.. is there anything wrong with it or needs to be replaced soon, service? rego? cluch condition, boost stuff like that? I am after as stock as possible GTR and I do prefer 32 shape however. Cheers dave
