hey guys, need some help badly, since the flatmates car was stolen and recovered the tail and park lights dont work anymore, the clowns who did the job made a real f**king mess of it all, anyway we found this connector with two wires hangin loose under the dash and we are trying to find where they came from originally, the connector is on the loom side if anyone on the gold coast has any experience with the wiring in these cars and can have a look over for us it would help a ton too.

central locking is sussed, used the control motor and wire from old install

Hi, we are slowly repairing the damage done to my flatmates car and have start the install of a Fusion F3500 alarm. Can someone help me with the following, is it a - pulse or + pulse central locking system? can i wire off the control unit located above the ECU? or off the door wires themselves? we have the whole dash off at current, there is a single black wire with orange dashes hanging from the plug on the bottom of the assembly, but it has been taped/glued over at the other end so can not locate where it went too, te car did previously have an alarm in it if i get the door input - off the wire for the left door sensor, will opening the right door also trigger the sensor or is there a relay further up i should take it from???

im looking at buying a 1993 R32 GTR, but it has a tripple plate race clutch worth $3500 in it and is really on/off, I'm currently driving an Auto and want to get used to a more friendly clutch first, would anyone be interested in a swap if I did buy it (if I can find someone who wants to and will help me swap them over I will probably get this car). It is of the R33 GTR type (sorry forgot which is which but this if different to the normal R32 unless it is one of the later model ones)

Seams the only feasable way for the future, thanks for the input guys, was what I was thinking more directly - front bars shouldn't need Sikaflex to be attached, f**k knows what would happen if I fitted a front mount. BTW the glassers are great, we got a Supra done there recently and the bar came off with the 8 screws/bolts no probs, its the dodgey painters work that f**ked up the fitting the glassers did ANYWAY, will go see him next week and ask for the money to repair the skirts and bar which will be interesting, anyone want to buy a 400R front bar and Nismo side skirts with some cracks in them, should be repairable???

Hi, My flatmate just got his brand new bodykit for his S1 R33 GTSt, previously he had a 400R front bumper and skirts put on the car after an accident, he got the bodykit made & fitted though a fibreglass shop on the gold coast, who then sent him off to a painter to paint the bodykit. The painter couldn't fit the bodykit back on once it was painted so cut it in half and modified it so it would fit better, we did not mind as you could not tell the difference before and after, and the 400R is a GTR bodykit as we all know anyway. The paint work was below average, a couple sections on the skirts missed out on paint on closer inspection, some oversprays, and some big runs which he said he wouldn't fix unless my flatmate took some new work to him to get done at the same time. What has just made us flip the cannon, today after ordering a new front bar, side skirts, rear bar and wing my flatmate went back to the glass shop to get them fitted, only to find out that they had to break the front bar and side skirts to get them off. The painter had stiko-flexed them onto the car, that sort of epoxy like rubber stuff. We had intended to resell the front bar and skirts to help make back some of the costs for the new kit and the painting but now we wont be able too. Do you think this is acceptable? Should the painter pay the costs to repair the front bar and skirts, the painting is not important as they will probably be resprayed for whoever buys them. Is there any sort of legal proctection against the work or him not doing the work to a high standard when it comes to painting, or him modifying and fitting the front bar and skirts in a way that they wouldn't be removable even if we needed to install a front mount???

Look at his symptoms, points to coils of plugs, he replaced both, coils cost $600+ so obviously not just a patch up

-edit/removed post, was a maintenance related question i should have PM'd

How To Install A Handbrake: Terminals Way.
Keeper replied to Terminal's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
thanks, im very very close to buying a Rs4 and GTR box straight after, might look at getting the parts shipped over from NZ in the likes of the console etc, if you pay someone there to buy the parts, then they delcare them as motor spares for personal use and mark them around $150 a shipment the duty and taxes should be negligable when doy ou think you will have photos of the console in the car? -
Installing 3" Dump/front And High Flow Cat.
Keeper replied to FLYSLY's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Excellent write up, does it pick up a little faster? when living in new zealand i took out my cat and smashed the guts out then bolted it back in, it may not have made it spool up faster, but it was louder and it backfired a whole lot more... oh the joys of the RB motors -

bracket or console? the whole manual gearbox in a series one is starting to look more and more expensive every time i look at it -
I'm currently looking for a R32 without the motor or gearbox, i basically want a shell with all the interior etc so i can drop a motor of my choice and gearbox into it, how easy is it to come by one like this (I tempted to look at sedans also, would like a turbo for the 5stud wheel setup) know anyone who has one, and wreckers, or have any idea of the cost of one? I'm currently living in QLD on the gold Coast

for the record... the chances of you starting a fire through cell phone use on a forecourt is about the same as a jumbo jet crashing into your house i think most of it has too do with people humping doors etc in the countries where the nozzles dont need to be held on to pump (stay on until full)

note is doesn't recommend using the %10 blend in that quote, this fuel is %5 blend, i wonder if nissan australia have a say on this??? 98 octane is available in NZ, but not refined here, shell and all the fuel majors offer AGO 91 95 98 (BP & Mobil only) there is talk of the octance going up, or Shell & Caltex offering a high octance fuel option as well, as the entire high performance market has almost completely turned to BP/Mobil from what I know

haha funny, I work in the fuel industry and we get reports all the time of people starting fires through stupid reasons, answering cell calls, jump starting cars on forecourts, take there car that is on fire to the service station for assistance, static build up etc. etc. the chances of a mobile starting a fire are slim, but the guy who was trying to pull his mobile out of his jeans and his croutch got 3rd degree burns probably aint laughing...
