  1. thanks mate, should be able to just leave it off then? i have a couple other breathers blocked up, one is off the water/air rail near the oil cooler and the other is one of the lines from the ACC valve
  2. cool, can i find it if i pull the instruments out? if this is busted will it not return the signal to the ECU? in which a consult cable should show 0km/h all the time? i looked and looked for heavy steering but everything is hicas related

Hi guys, When I start my R32 GTR the power steering is normal, once I get up to 70-80kph the power steering gets heavy as normal, but never loosens back up when it comes down to slower speeds or stopped again. After a little while longer the HICAS light comes on. I'm not overly fussed with the HICAS fault, the system is about to come out anyway, im concerned something isn't working right as when instrument fuse is blown (i think my power windows do it sometimes) the steering will stay light and not get heavy I saw this picture/diagram can someone describe in more detail what the vehicle speed sensor does, and if it is a replacable item or not. as I think this or the instrument its playing up (im hoping the speed sensor is the problem!)
  7. hi guys, what different type of lock bars are there? will a gtst and gtr be the same for a r32?

  11. used 3 good coats of primer, about a 7-8 coats of colour and 2-3 of clear, PREP WORK GUYS! my finish is very let down by the preperation time, used a 200 grit to rough it up, a 320 to smooth it, a 800 to ready it for primer, a 2000 after primer before paint (wipe down thoughly every sand too!!) and long even strokes of paint finishing the spray OFF the item

  15. i got high temp engine paint, as im doing cambelt cover, cam covers and plenum, should i still use primer and clear?
  16. i cut that hose myself, replacing it as it is f**ked and for lack of better words glued to the block not sure on coil, there looks like a breather on the tranny is loose though, going to call a friend over to look over it today
  17. did my first trip recently between the two, 10hours with a second driver, left sydney at 2am after chinese new years so took years to leave the city... if travelling at night be careful with fuel stops
  18. went top side in, too much oil under but the exciting news is it looks like its coming from everywhere, almost an engine out job! great news is my car has been raced before, the lockwire on some components is evident too this. thanks to the useless roadworthy dicks who said my car looked good and my mechanic who assured me it was probably just driven hard on the road

  20. im thinking of buying some wheel ramps, im really unimpressed with the idea of going under though, i already had a blast getting the sump drain bolt out
  21. it isnt normal to do filter and cooler work from the underside is it on a gtr?
  22. i have claustrophobia so have problems going under the car, i am deffinate it is the oil cooler and filter assembly i just need to get at it from the top side down, the plenum is just a pain too get too BAMR33 - i have already checked hoses, gaskets etc. i know where the problem is, getting too it is the problem thanks
