  1. 600hp, if the crank is badly scored, then you can fit a "speedy sleeve" without the need for any machining
  2. Dyno dynamics measure(or display) either "TORQUE" in Nm, or tractive effort in N. I can see where they get tractive effort from, as thats the force loaded against the roller, but the torque figure would require you to know the rolling diameter of the drive wheels, and all the transmission gear ratio's for the given test gear. Basically the tractive effort should be able to tell you how fast a car will accelerate at a given gear/speed if you know the weight, and take drag into account.
  3. Could be R&R, when the air is colder it is denser, therfore it hits higher load cells
  4. What did it cost new, and do you have warranty paperwork
  5. I would leave it, or if you feel teh need put a stock cam in it, there is no point putting a big cam in a stock motor
  6. AFAIK the rb30et single cam head is a fair bit taller than the dohc head, which means you will have clearance issues with the bonnet.
  7. Should be able to fit a t51r on the normal HKS cast low mount manifold
  8. If the ecu detected knkock, then it would have reverted to the low octane map, which i richer. Have you tried resetting the scu?
  9. It would weigh about 10-15kg more for an r33 gtst, or 20kg more for a gtr at the most.
  10. At that power level, my guess would be that it was hydraulic'd at some stage. My guess would be that revs break rods/bolts, but hydraulicing/ very high cylinder pressures would bend a rod.
  11. One guy on here eventually bent his rb25 rods making close to 600rwhp(450rwkw)
  12. About $150. Wrecker bottom end $50, head gasket $50, timing belt $50. With a good tune a stock bettom end is good for 300rwkw
  13. The idle solenoid is probably getting filled with carbon, there is a thread in the DIY section on how to clean them
  14. S13 sr20, its 75mm longer
  15. Is it a garrett exhaust housing, or some sort of horrible bolt on setup?
  16. Except warmer weather reduces the air flow/density for a given boost.
  17. Speaking of this, does anyone know which springs start to float first in an rb? Inlet or exhaust?
  18. Machininst will be able to measure it and tell you if it needs to be ground.
  19. My guess of a 3071 is that the turbo is running out of flow. Interesting that the low boost power run is tuned richer than the high boost run Good power though, should be a rocket. Is it a stock motor?
  20. No offense to you, but get a diffierent tuner, if he uses a Fpr to fix a problem, then he is out of his depth. firstly do a trouble code check, compression test(to check the motor is still good) and check fuel pressure.
  21. I just nip them up a bit with the allen key. The reason the studs can get away with lower than stock torque is because the nut end uses a different thread pitch, which increases the torque-tension ratio by 20%
  22. I would try turning the boost down to 12 psi (.8 bar) and do a run, i would bet the MPH goes up.
  23. Sounds like a possible igniter module, make sure it has a good earth, and try a known good one.
  24. Ash, i think he means he just remover the vac hose(boost signal) in which case it should run fairly unlimited boost. Although there is obviously a problem, my point is there is no point running anywhere near 14 psi with a stock ecu, as it will be running so rich, with no timing that it negate any power increase the added boost would create.
