nah havn't got a digital camera yet there is a metal thng with a mitsubishi symbol on it that is located right before the throttle body but i thought that was an emissions control thing

i have an auto r32 gtst and this might sound like a stupid question but i havn't owned a turbo car before so be kind. does the auto gtst still have a stock bov? if yes i think mine does not have one as when i'm on boost and i take my foot off there is no noise like one would expect. also, if yes then where is it located? on my intake piping before the throttle body and before the bend there is a small pipe which runs off the main pipe which leads to nothing and is blocked off...anyone know if this is where it should be...or does someone have a pic of a stock bov which i can compare to. maybe its there but stuck or something. as i said i havn't owned a turbocharged car before so i am learning as i go... thanks, Waz

nb for cold starts in the morning ONLY i've had some trouble starting my r32 since i got it. it cranks, but when you jsut think its turned over and the engine is going, it just cuts out. takes 3 or 4 turns to start and when its warm everything is fine. i did a search and i think i narrowed it to the following: - battery (which i checked and is ok) - coolant tems sensor (which i cleaned and didn't help) - spark plugs (which are in good condition) - starter motor / solenoid (can't be as it still cranks) - cold start valve i don't know where the codl start valve is and then how to clean it...any ideas? any other info you may have will be a help Waz

Cecam, i thought advancing the timing when running on 98RON at the pump is not a great idea if you don't want knoch occuring. plus the thing is that sluggish that timing could not lift it much better. i'm thinking of cleaning the AFM. might see how this goes then will reset ECU and try some 0-100 times. Waz. P.s. is your nick name suppost to represent 'cecum' which is part of the large intestine??

TTZ32, hw does a hi-stall torque converter work? is 250 new or can i source it second hand? where do i find one? does it affect the normal driving of the car or is it something which only makes any difference when you are taking off hard? i have never heard of this before...

warming up is a must especially if the oil you are using has its best viscosity at higher temps. 2-5 mins is not difficult, ie start the car then get your stuff together then by the time you are on the road the temp is almost at normal operating temp. It is still advisable to drive slow for a while (if you try to drive hard it won't want to anyway). MY dad's R31 executive is pushing 400k on the clock and doesn't burn oil and the tranny fluid is still pink! ...the proof is in the pudding!

try cleaning your AFM and air filter / replacing fuel filter i just got my R32 and was reading forums. a real good thread came up about this

Hey i havn't posted much yet as i have just bought my skyline and don't know too much about it yet It is an auto the question i had was takeoff from a standing start. The car is sluggish and doesn't even hint of wanting any wheelspin. my mate's V6 VN commodore gets wheelspin and my 'line kills that thing. are all auto's like this? everything seems OK after the turbo kicks in, just wondering i thought it might be a little quicker from the line. Another friend with spec r 200sx thinks it should be faster. Cheers,

if you are in melbourne try HiFi Supermarket I got one fitted for $300 (new) with - remote central - 2-point immboiliser - back-up battery siren - shock sensor - channel hopping key fob brand is Zylux there were better ones for more $$$$ which had remote start and other neat features but this was worth the money
