  1. Ok i should of asked the question a bit better. Lets say we have a GTS4 and a GTST, -both cars are modified to wiegh the same -all gearbox and diff ratios are the same -both cars are governed to 100hp at the wheels -both use automatic, with lets say a 3500rpm converter -both use slicks and dont wheelspin at all just trying to say on paper if both cars are evenly matched is there and advantage using 4wd. Thanks for the response guys.
  2. just curious as to what would win in a race, i no the 4wd would have more power at the engine but if they both had the same power and torque at the wheels, and traction would there really be a difference in a quarter mile time if both setups are identical? thanks guys.

  4. Tuff call, if you go with a .64 ar will it become restrictive up high? or if you go with the .86ar will it be a lag machine? oh well gonna keep my eye on this one and hope people will leave some feedback.
  5. i got a second hand jap one for my 4 door, didnt fit very well and was really low. if i had to do it again i would put the car in and get them to make one up for it
  6. Ha ha tuff one hey, im trying to pick a turbo at the moment aswell. Think im leaning towards the TD06 as Roy has had great success with it but what you have mentioned could be on the money to. Good luck with it.
  7. curious to see what wins, due to diff ratios i would say the vl will have more top speed but if you can pull a few car lenghts on it early on it might not be able to chase you down. can you please post up race results including distance, road conditions(um i mean track) and obvious different setups between cars. You would think the skyline would have more traction over the vl on the street and be able to grab enough of a lead to finish it off, but on the other hand i wouldnt underestimate the vl. ?????????? interesting.
  8. i put an adjustable silencer in my old cannon, couldnt hear the exhaust with it closed and was reasonably loud with it open so you could adjust it to whatever mood you were in, only cost $60 from my local exhaust shop.
  9. scratch it up with some red scotch brite, wipe it down with some wax and grease remover, give it a quick light coat of etch primer followed by 2 light coates of black. easy.
  10. Very expensive. They use a black base under the chamelion to make the pearl stand up and flip. You can get cheaper brands now but with my experience its of lesser quality and you need twice as much to achieve coverage so you end up spending the same amount of money. As for touch ups, although shops dont like to say it, they are quite simple to do and you dont need a respray to fix a scratch.
  11. Hey Roy, is this the same one you are using, its from nengun for about 2 grand. Also do you no what the specs are? Do you think the turbo is at its limit on your car or do you think it still has some left, thanks. Just curious what it would compare to in the garret gt range. Type TD-06S , Compression Housing 20G, Exhaust Housing 8.0cm2
  12. i wish i had that, ive got 253hp@22psi. RB20 hybrid, exhaust housing too small. new turbo here i come.........
  13. Hey mate all you need to do is turn the compressor cover so the outlet faces up, if it hits the manifold get a small spacer made up and longer studs for the manifold.Thats what i did for my 32 and it all fit in fine.
  14. I have 18*7.5 or 8 (cant remember) with 225*40*18 tyres and they dont scrub at all, car sits pretty low as well. I think there was a thread about wheel sizes and mods needed to fit on here somewhere, might have to search a bit to find it.

  18. i dont think the intercooler or turbo will change vacume at all unless a line is off. had the same problem when the vacume line got left off the computer. what mods do you have?
  19. From what my tuner has said to me it might be ok, does it ping up high? Ive been told that you have to really put the fuel in on the torque curve cause thats the most likely time pinning will occur then you can lean it off a bit up high. Im not sure if its to lean but just talk with your tuner some more about it.
  20. thanks guys, as this was replied to again i thought id let you no that it drove fine. when the turbo started to spool it was blowing a bit of black smoke so i took a fraction more fuel out and just drove it nice and easy.
  21. yeah its a gt28rs. i think the sr20 uses a t28 and have steel wheels
  22. correct me if im wrong but i dont think the rb20 exhaust housing will flow enough to achieve 300hp at the wheels, i was also led to believe the housing is a .48ar.
