  1. Ok here are some more pics. It looks like it has 2 metal plates and the center is some sort of hard silicon. It lines up directly with the manifold so it doesnt appear to be an adaptor. It is an r32 motor and had end feed injectors like the rb20. It looks like the injectors fire directly onto the top spring and the plate is about half inch thick. The only thing i can think of is some sort of cold start device if the motor came from around the mountains but who knows?
  2. Hi guys i just picked up an rb25 from a local importer and discovered a weird inlet spacer. You can see in the pics there are 2 springs that look like they get in the way of where the injector will fire, it also has several wires coming out of it that runs into a non standard looking plug. Has anyone seen anything like this?

  4. My vote goes to the GT3071R. Boost gauge moves into the + at 3000rpm and is all in at 4. Its power range is 3500-7000rpm on a standard RB20, i love this turbo setup on my car and i dont think you would be disapointed either.
  5. I run 2 14s on my rb20 wired via a davies craig temp switch to turn them on and off, this gets power from the ignition so when the car is turned off the fans shut off too.
  6. I made a mistake using the malpassi as i already upgraded pump and injectors but the guy that was tuning it said i needed one. I often hear people say that the standard reg is fine and would only use a nismo or sard because its the same as standard but new, ive heard the sards come 1:1, 1.7:1, and 2:1 so im just after the one closest to standard. Oh and i have searched.

  9. I really dont think it will be that laggy, but my idea and your idea of lag may be two different things. ps. i have a 3071 and thats not laggy to me.
  10. Im actually taking off the malpassi at the moment and looking at a sard, the only ones i have found are 1.7:1 Is this the one i should be looking for or is a 1:1 reg the one to go for?.

  13. Because the spring tension is too much for the boost to release in one go. Back the adjustment off a turn or two and it wont pulse, but then if it leaks on boost you may have to tighten it a touch
  14. That 10mm bolt that isnt there anymore is used to bleed the air out of the cooling system, maybe making up a....... um how do i explain it..... water tank that the lines will run into with a cap or bleeder on top so you can still bleed the system might be the best bet.
  15. Yeah it will if its setup properly, can be hard for the tuner if you dont leave the car with them so they can tune it at those temps so thats where a bit of guess work might come into it. I idle my car till i see 55-60 degrees water temp before i drive it and dont boot it till its at operating temp, but each to their own i guess.

  17. I use the gizzmo shift light and think its great. Easy to install and setup. I did plan on getting the launch control as well but decided on the new turbo instead, still on the cards for the future but

  20. No problems. Are you able to find out the specs of the turbo? Like wheel sizes inducer and exducer and the ar of both sides of it, as i know someone looking at the moment and if it will suit his car i will let him know about it.
