  1. OKie dokie. Well i got this car about 7 months ago. It's an R32 sedan GTS-T Auto. Stock as a rock from Nisswreck with some crap white paint with scratches and marks all over it. OK so first thing was to get an exhaust. I went to Exhaust Technology and got Marky Mark to fit me a 3" cat back system with a 5" Jun BL cannon. To my stupid knowledge i didnt want my cannon coming out on an angle. I wanted it coming straight out but now i realise it looks like a barina. So back to marky I go once my engine is fixed to get either my cannon cut and welded back on with mass angle or get flutes. Not to sure. I got it painted to fix up the problems with the paint work. Wish I didn't now as that money would of paid for the manual conversion and some other goodies. This is my car 2 days after getting it back from the paint shop. I have done the full 100,000km service as my odometer doesnt work properly. SO i have no idea how many kms have been done on my now busted engine. no my rims by the way not my rims either. Now i have to replace the engine with either a 24 or 25det. not sure which one yet. Im planning on getting a full origion Kit, fmic, Section Coilovers, Work VS - Kf's and the list goes on.   2. OK new goal for my car. Plans are to have the 4whore fixed by this so i can atleast drive out and support you guys. i aint learning how to drift at Mallala. Way to scary with 130+km entries into turn one. Scaryyyyyyyyyyy
  3. Cheers Huddy. I think i better talk to ryan and Terry pretty snappy. I want the 23/24 so i can be different. But it seems like the 25de from the 32 is the way everyone is hinting for me to go. Atleast the pricing from everyone is around the $5000 figure. I was thinking it would be different from workshop to workshop. Just need to get to know the mechanic of choice for my engine swap so I dont get a brand new lemon. Kansai is moving further away from me. Dam you TELLY

  5. I live in South Plympton. Got Castle Plaza about 5 min drive away. tram a 2 min walk from my house. train about 10 - 15min walk. My g/f has just signed the papers for a place in glandore. About 45 sec drive from my place now. she is paying $120 a week for her place. If your looking at something with public transport to and from the city i live in the middle of everything really. Just a few suggestions
  6. Seems like im the not only person after having something different in there car. Yeh Nisswreck are a bit pricey. Went there for a full engine and drive train package for $2500. RB25det full engine package was like $5000. Skippy - Cheers for that. I will get in contact with this guy. If this is still for sale. The fully rebuilt RB20DET, i can just inspect all my anccilaries and bolt them straight up. Or get a 33 turbo and actually have enough to get my manual conversion too. The RB30det sounds tempting. I will need to look into this a bit more. I installed my bucket seat properly yesterday and stupid me forgot about the whole car hasn't been started for a month. Drained battery and no other car to jump start. Pushed the brick on wheels down my 25mtr driveway to use next door neighbours car to jump start it. Never am i going to do that again. due to lack of sleep and starting work at 3:30am i fried the ecu. red to red and black to red and red to black. Fuses and ecu dont like this combination. HAHAHAHHA expecnsive way to kill an allready dead car. RB25det and full drivetrain might also be an option. or 25de and change some internals to make her a nice turbo'd engine. Keep your ideas coming guys. Once the new year comes around the cars going to be getting a new engine. Just what is up to me. having the money sitting around doing nothing while i try and source the engine parts is annoying.

  8. Oh ok now its mkaing sense. ok total retard question. RB25de head will it fit on the 20det bottom end. Or will the compression rates be completely different and eventually die and i wil be back in the situation I am now. Oh and Darren, yeh Leon looked after that seat very well. Looks hot as in my 32. except the rails dont line up so good old drill and files for the win. Ok im going to stop whoring my own thread. I will ring around a few places tomoz after work and see whats the best option for a steady amount of power without having to go over board with my engine. Oh and Kelly Mckinnon has just bolted a massive turbo on his engine. I think the turbo he has will be worth about the same as me recondionting my whole engine.
  9. I appreciate everyones advice very much. My reason for not putting a 25 in my car is due to parents freaking out as it is with my current engine. Yes i will eventually fix my problem of speed and want more. But for the time being i would like to build up a strong engine thats not going to fall to bits in 3 months as a 2nd hand engine will/ most likely will with my poor judgement of engines. I think the 23/24 idea is past right now. To much of a head f@#k to do this time so i think i will just rebuild my rb20 just to make it run smoothly, get it tuned, convert my car to manual, run R33 turbo, get FMIC, up the boost a little bt and hope she holds together. Im going to need a bank loan to get the money asap as my parents are wanting to sell there cars to buy a new one so we dont have 5 cars in the family with 3 in the actual family. As above I appreciate everyones point of veiw and yes i will take them all on board. I might need a mechanics for dumbies book to understand it all. But yes i will continue in the thread and explain what im doing for my build up. damm you christmas and your giving presents. By the way. Dads pissed off now because I put a Velo fixed back bucket in yesterday so now he and mum cant drive it. The RB30 bottom end is still my fav right not. Just have to figure out what cubes means by the head not being able to run well or what not. Back to the drawing board
  10. Im after an engine thats not going to cause to many headaches down the track when I have to make it stock to go through regency. What is a RB20DET good for. Im looking at a nice figure of 250rwkw and thats about it. Nothing to big and just enough grunt to be able to hold 3rd around some tracks wen i start up drifting. Yes I know you guys arent big fans on drifting but hey each to their own. Arent 2.0s good for tourqe and the like. I am just not keen on the 2.3 as some ppl have told me about the headaches with making them

  14. Cheers for your input cubes. The $5000 is me using my current engine and the engine rebuilder doing all the work on my engine. Im after a solid 250rwkws with my engine. I know i cannot make this with a rb20det without doing major work. This is why i wanted/ am considering the 2,3 or 2,4 conversion. My budget is what ever it will cost really. I want it done first time and done properly. Once my engine is fixed i will convert it to manual and do everything else to it then. I just need my engine fixed asap so i can drive my car. I cant use my parents for much longer. I want the power to be made with little boost possible. I mean within reason that is. Can you give me the number to who u used cubes so i can give him a call and see what his thoughts are. Cheers again for your info. Brenton
  15. Cheers for the help there mate. This doesnt really make sense though. Did you mean 2.3 is with 25 crank rods and the 2gze pistons and the 2.4 is with the 26 crank rod and pistons. And what is R&D?????????
  16. So the story is i have a big end bearing thats gone or busted piston or whatever it is my engine isnt liking the 3000RPM area. So i have rung up a few places and the general picture for a fully rebuilt RB20DET is around $5000. I continuted on to think about the cost of buying a 2nd hand imported rb20 from japan but because im very very unlucky i would most likely get a thrashed out piece of turd burger and need to replace it like my current engine. So i put it to you guys who have way more experience in RBs then myself and my dad. Whats needed to make a RB23/24DET? Is it just 26 crank rods and oversized pistons with bored out cylinders? Or is there more thats needed. I currently have $3500 saved for my new engine build up. I am going to have to get some more money off those things called banks who seem to get every last cent off you before you die. I have been quoted $4500 from Lewis Engines and $5500 at Boostworx. IM heading towards Lewis engines as I have heard nothing but the best from them and Darren was very helpful when I rang him up. I have been told about Nisspeed but i cannot find any info about them. I can't even find a phone number. If anyone out there can give me a phone number for anyone that they would recommend for a full engine rebuild and or to make a RB23/24DET then please tell me. Im guessing the 23 conversion will cost around the $5500+ mark so i no i have to save more. Please leave any info here for either the company or 23 conversion. Cheers Brenton. By the way.   17. I have one. Put it into my alarm system aswell. I wish i never spent the money on it. As others have said. You go for a thrash and on the way home u are bound to be going easy as u have to fight with traffic. So dont get one unless your into the wank factor of having a t/t. Like I was lol. I would just spend the money on something else. I paid $160 for mine and another $90 to install it. Biggest waste of money ever. I in no way mean this in an offensive way mate. Just think about if you really need it. Or you need/ want a biger turbo or turbo back exhaust. Turbo Timers will catch you out as well.
  18. Howie. My TT is in my little compartment under my cd player. Installed it in there so i can just flip the door shut and no body knows the difference. Will be where i put my E-BC if i use my current one. I dont think 34 have the same compartments as 32s but worth a try

  22. Boost gauge is easy. Ok maybe I lied there, it's easy on a Skyline. Im not sure where you connect the boost gauge vac line to on a S14. Im assuming its a Mechanical one. Or are we fancy and have a electronic one. Good luck buddy.

  25. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Im prety sure terry just means cars that cant do anything. But do open wheel Skids. It would be a waste of everyones time if someone has a car that they are just doing burnouts on the track with. Im gunna enter once my cars ready. Then Master Ryan can teach me the art of sliding the 4 door.
