I got a gain in fuel ecconomy at first but now it has dropped off to be worse The addition of a 3" tends to make the car run rich and make it use more fuel doesnt it??

In theory a bit more boost should make it to the engine with the aftermarket core?? I remember reading that the stock cooler looses around 3 psi across the core so if the after market one looses only 1 psi does this mean effectively you have upped the boost by 2psi as more is making it past the core?? Not sure on this and was wanting to know if this logic rings true

Yeah spooks, Yours sounds a little more realistic. 200rwkw is not very easy to acheive on the stock turbo. With all the gear you will be over 190 but for some reason the 200 proves illusive for most. I guess the thing to remember is that dynos are all over the place. On the same day your car could read 200rwkw at on place and 180rwkw at another place Any way back to the question. All the stuff you have listed is fine, All of it will run on the stock ECU. However it will be much improved with the addition of a SAFC or other piggy back system

Hankook k104s can be bought for around the $180 and they are pretty good, I like em and they are considered good by many people on this forum

I would keep an eye out for better quality but second had kits, I got a HKS cooler plus piping for $600. Admittedly that was no cheaper than some of the hybrid copies but I was really patting myself on the back when I was able to fit it in around an hour due to the fact that every part was absouluteley mm perfect

For ease of fitement (Took me slightly over an hour) I would get one with the returm pipe that goes back under the cooler and uses most of the stock intercooler piping (Like the pic below) No cutting excetera required, Blitz make one that can be had for around $1000 off of nengun, there is one for sale on here too http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=98632 ARC makes one for a similar price also on nengun (They can be had else where but I am thinking of your budget) And AVO turbo world makes one for $1100

The air in the cross pipe is travelling way too fast to pick up much heat so I beleive it wouldnt be a problem

Try ringing around the importers, Most have masses of stock r33 wheels lying around that they are only too keen to get rid of, I managed to pick some up for $20 each

I had a bad experience with spacers too. They put out the balance very badly, I had the wheels balanced a few times and nothing got fixed, but when I got new wheels that required no spacers the problems dissapeared, so I guess the spacers were to blame!

There are a lot of turbos that can look legal, Hi flow is the best from that perspective as it is all in the original housings, then there are the HKS 2530 2535 2540 and GTRS that all bolt on in the shock position and would I imagine fit under the heat sheild with a little mucking about, Another option is the Apexi AX53B70 P25 which is similar to the HKS ones, there are also a few garrets that are around the same specs and sizes the HKS ones mentioned, so there are a lot of fairly inconspicuous turbo choices around! As for the legality Im not sure as it would depend on the state you are in!
