  1. where you at??
  2. Ha ha ha does have look just a little like Chris and Min doesnt it, wonder how that happened?
  3. hate to state the obvious but i'd be looking for new tyres when ya get the wheel allignment
  4. i just had a look at the ones on tweekit, they are universal and need to modify and weld on the throttle bodies, this would be quite expensive with an rb to get much of a gain out of them as you would need to weld on an extra bend on the runners to get enough room to then weld on the throttles. this would drastically reduce flow comparied to the gtr set up and would end up costing quite a lot more cash installing them i wouldnt expect any change from a grand if not 2 so then it ends up 3k plus 1500 for a microtech or some other ecu which uses map sensors insted of a/f sensor, then a tune on anything like that needs a lot of work cause the base maps are for a turbo so prob $800 for a tune more for a good tune. then you need ram filers wich adds anotherbit on top So your 4k ends up being more like $5200 min and it still wouldnt flow as well as the 26 manifold. the 26 manifolds go for around 1k if you look hard enough and it wouldnt cost more than 2-400 to get an adaptor plate made up then run individul trumpets a microtech and a tune, prob done for 3k bang that would sound tought as f**k and imadigne the response, and hey whilst your at it why not get them ported and polished for increaced flow add another 400 for that and your still in cheaper than the universal ones. Its well worth looking into but its a big expencive mod which i could probably safely say none of us have actually tried so the preformance gains would be speculation, another thought could be running twin tb's which has been done before, get your standard manifold modifyed to run 2 stock or a little smaller sized throttle bodies and twin induction tubes with twin pods, would be a big improvment from stock for a more reasnable cost. You have to think of it this way the best way to get preformance out of an na is to increase the flow of everything reduce all intake lengths, reduce as many bends as possible, get the coldest air possible in, if your running itb's with turmpets buy something like a wrx style bonnet scoup and channel the air over the trumpets so it sucks straight cold air. Increase the intake sucking with cam overlap ect, increace compression for bigger bang, match the exhaust flow for your engine, get someone to do some figures on what sizes will give you the best backpressure for the best exhaust flow then get it custom made. Smothen and increase everything you car, increase engine compacity, use an rb26 crank and rods to give that extra .1 litres of air. Reduce any moveing or rotational weight, lighter pistons, lightweight pullies, carbon fibre tailshaft, lighter flywheel but not too much to affect drivability. Lightweight wheels Remember 1kg of rotational weight is like the same as i think 5-10 kgs of still weight. Then look into best gear and diff ratios for your prefered motorsport, give the car a diet, what you dont need get rid off
  5. thats great to see someones pushed the boost up past 10 and hasn't had any problems, have you done a compression check to make sure everythings still in order? great results. Oh by the way he's not taking it anywhere to get down too expencive. i'm helping him do the work cause i've done a couple before. but just out of curiosity where did you go to get yours done? I went to revzone in ringwood to get everything checked over and my safc tunned when i finished mine but the safc wasnt good enough to boost the fuel so i ended up buying a microtech but i went to another place to get that tunned which i knew the guys at oh ps, he's going to use the standard turbo ecu which should be fine on stock boost
  6. mine kept the red light after i went for a second tune cause they didnt bother to clear the codes after re-tuning it, but that was cause it was coming back for cold start a couple of days later
  7. ?? whats that meant to mean??
  8. mmm i know what you mean imagine the hoons with nos, but for those of us who use our cars like Cara for some offroad use i dont see why it should be illegle to have the lines if they are disconnected and no bottle, but you gotta think the adverage cop has no clue what they are talking about with cars, yes most traffic officers have some training but hell i could have a look at an engine bay and not know there are some extra vacum lines running over the manifold im sure after 5-10 mins of tracking i could sorce that they are nos related but they arnt going to spend that long looking under the hood unless they are suspitious or want to get you for something. Not being sexist but males have a tendency to be known more as hoons than females so they'd prob be even less thourough with a search on your car.
  9. mmm you'll just have to be good at your disguising skills, or hope the cops dont catch u
  10. mmm thats quite gay, mabye you'll have to cover the braided lines in black vacum hose, unplug the sprayer nosle and tuck it away, and somehow hide all the purple fittings, mabye put some black elec tape over them, that was it all blends into the stardart systems and you would never know, be very hard to tell unless you were specifically looking for it, and hey being na they dont look as much under the bay, normally oh its na then close the bonnet.
  11. cool cool, i rekon if you dont keep the bottle in the car they shouldnt hassle you, you could even unplug and block off the squirters rather easily that way nothings connected its just as if the kit were sitting uninstalled in your ar then nothing they can do if its not hooked into the engine
  12. lol yeh, i rekon she needs 2 one on the rear inbetween the tail lights, and a massive one on the bonnet, that way we all no her car's dangerous
  13. mm thats a good idea, secure it with a couple of cable ties and a club lock and your set
  14. the guys there are pretty fussy with their work and who they deal with, they fix up a lot of Honda's and dont even buy parts for the Honda dealer 4 doors down. Ive never seen any of their work but they are quite well known so should be alright
  15. viv check is needed when its a repairable write off, mabye the interia was going to cost more than half the value of the car to replace but i doubt it, there has to be more to it than that, and you also have to have pic records of the repair or recepts to prove your not re-registering a stolen vehical with a new vin. Plus 1 for the white one
  16. hey, tis true apart for the last couple of days its been a long time since seeing you, yet you still have over 20 times more posts than me, gee i should really try harder to catch up whilst your in lebanon as a medic, i can sit on here day in day out lol, have a good one,
  17. Well your not technically allowed to have any compressed gas cylinders in any confined space, have to be on a truck, with dangerous good sign's posted all over it, really even bbq cylinders arnt allowed to be carried in cars because they are classified as dangerous goods, but where do you stop? If a cop wants to get you for something there is always a way. it would be best on the roads to not keep the bottle even in the car if you had a car set-up for nos, i'd feel safer with less flamible materials on board my car, damn idiots ran me off the road imagine a rear ender couple of sparks and a cracked nos bottle!!! There was a study a while back that some Vic roads testers got some brand new cars fresh off the the lot and went over and did a complete vehical test on them and everyone had something that failed yes it was extreamly minor insignificant things but still technically caniraible go figure. Theres too many laws out there but if your not an idiot on the road and your NICE to the officer than you shouldnt have any problems with minor things
  18. yeh well when you first asked me about the conversion i was still keeping on going with my project and if i wasnt i woulda sold the stuff to you but few things have changed now and my mum starting to get annoyed at having the car there, so im going to have to take a loss the time and money i've spent ill never get back but if i can recoup enough to get a 32 ill be happy enough, love skylines to much to get anything else.
  19. yeh, i didnt think that it would have to much of an affect cause my mate shuan got some for his 32 on your first group buy and didnt mention an issue to me, just thought i'd mention it, wouldnt be to hard to re-fabricate a new mounting position, if anyone thinkin of doing it would be nice to see some before and after see if it makes any difference anywhere
  20. Ok time has come for me to decide what to do with my project car, its realitivly neer compleation but still needs full re-spray windscreen, headlights, fair bit of stuffing round with wiring, new tyres, viv test and rego, which ends up about the 5k mark grrrrrr But now my daily keeps on breaking down and i need something reliable and can't afford the money with just spending the money on it when i just got my privte pilots licence and would love to pump more money to get my comercial licence So after all the hard work i've put it im looking at selling it. Now if anyone wants to buy the complete car prob looking for about 5K for it cause its got some good goodies on it but im prob thinking more of parting some of it out hence this topic Heres my offer if anyone in vic is lookin at doing a turbo conversion and paying for someone to do it i can help you out, im only looking to sell this as a pakage, what i got, turbo with minimal shaft play, all piping, all lines already modifyed to fit na, dump pipe, HKS front mount cooler kit with return piping, walbro fuel pump, exhaust mani, cat back stock turbo exhaust ect pretty much everything except a front pipe (cause im selling it to another guy on here along with my spare dump pipe), BOV cooler pipe has 33mm adapter welded on but i was borrowing a mates bov then he wanted it back, ECU, Injectors and you would need new turbo gasket and new mani gasket. Ill sell all of this and install it on your car for $2000 which i think is pretty reasonable cause the conversion parts are worth arount a grand, then the cooler is worth big dollars i think i paid 800 second hand and still havent used it yet, then a couple of hundred for me to fit it all sounds pretty fair, im not a mechanic but i know what im doing. The gaskets from nissan i think are around $150 for both, front pipe like $20, ecu's are around 50-100 and then injectors are bout 150ish, so you be able to get a full turbo conversion fitted for under $2500 which is pretty damn cheap. Should mention its all for r33 rb25, but im sure i'd be able to adapt it to a r32, but not really looking at putting it on a 34 theres a few too many differences with them.
  21. hey in melb i though the leagalities with NOS were that you could have it all set up and plummed in but you arn't allowd to have the bottle connected
  22. hey eug, just had a look at the design of those headers, they look mad as nice flow and high quality but i had one issue with them. The O2 sensor looks to me like it only reads from 2 of the outlets which would give it false readings and be a killer on your fuel and mabye rob some power off, it would be best for the sensor to mount in the collector just before the cat or to run muitiple sensors to get a correct reading, im not sure how much this affects the skylines, i just did a mates WRX turbo back exhaust and the O2 sensor mounted in a really crummy spot and his fuel consumption went down to like 280 kms so we had to move it and extend a few wires. I know skylines arnt this tempremental with the O2 sensors but it might be something to look into if there is a big reported loss in fuel consumption, also in a high preformance application with tunning an after market ecu you wideband sensor probably wouldnt be as affective either
  23. with yours why dont you just grab the sensors off your na stuff, the speedo cluster i wouldnt think has any sensors in it it just moves by what the sensors tell it, if that doesnt work then yeh i can find out the name of the thing my dads got, he had to wire it in so i assume its universal and would solve your problem if changing the sensors doesnt
